Went into town today on the prowl with a mate (both T68i's) to do lots of bluejacking. It started out slow, we were both finding plenty of bricks just by walking around the high street but when we actually went to send the business card the connection was lost, I guess the people may have been walking in the other direction.
We were both getting a bit hacked off at this point, after about an hour of trying we decided to go into a few of the many mobile phone shops and try our luck there.
No luck in the Vodafone shop although we could always detect a phone it wasn’t getting a message though. However, when we were in the new O2 shop we had our first and only success of the day.
Within about a minute of walking in my mate had detected a bluetooth connection and said to me (not very discretely) "I got one" then proceeded to sent a message: "Nokia's suck dick".
Within a few seconds we heard the beep beep alert and the hapless shop assistant, that was at the time serving a customer, shouted out in the shop "Who's got bluetooth?" LOL - we both left the shop pretty quickly trying not to piss ourselves laughing. My mate went back in a couple more times to try and send the message "your stupid" but it never worked again. That shop assistant wasn’t out at the front of the shop - probably out the back disabling his bluetooth.
So if you get frustrated that the Bluejacking is not working just walk into a phone shop and give the shop assistants some nasty message, its not very discreet but at least it works!
Watch out O2 we will be back!!!
BTW what is the range of BT?

Hey, I haf a T300 so I don't have bluetooth, but after reading this thread, I am getting a T39m from a guy in esato. Going to pay him very soon. Could someone explain to me how to bluejack people? and is this capable on the T39m?
And to you all fellow blue jackers, I am not sorry for that I bought the T300, its cool and its SE. I loved it and I would also love the bluetooth of T39m.
p.s. I wonder who would be as stupid as me to spend like 150USD just to buy a T39m to bluejack people. Even worse, no one uses bricks in Toronto, I guess I could try.

As a prev. T68i owner i must say Im ashamed over some in here. Sayin n owner have less iq etc etc. I did change my T68i to a brick and no way i change back. My old phone was like having arms but no hands. O yes it was exelent arms,hehe.But symbian and a 4k screen + poly,java and loud memos that can be used as tune and sms tune is awsome. I got myself another victim the other day. Me and the Mrs went to the cinema to watch Ghost Ship. About 15 minutes into the film, I remembered how much fun can be had in the cinema with bluejacking. I searched for a device and found a 6310i. I sent a contact saying "Scary film isn't it". Then another saying "Are you scared". Then a final one saying "You should be". It was like something outta that film, Scream!!! The girl two rows in front, who had the 6310i must've shit herself cuz she got up and ran out of the cinema
Actually, the joke was on me cuz the film wasn't scary at all, it was shit!! Anyway, bye for now........

Flamed? Thats not why I posted the mess. I realy loved my T68i. I just not feel less smart with a Brick. The ultimate phone today may be a P800 so I still is a se fan but does not call user of other brands idiots. I truly is a bthj fan and of course have my bt off. Went to a small chinese restaurant yesterday for lunch. Didn't think I'd be able to find someone with BT there....however, there was!
Spotted a brick and sent a few messages (nothing offensive since chances of getting caught were high!) Managed to send an sms by printing option..... the message was: "Hello there, do you like chinese food?" I expected to see someone get up confused.... However no one appeared so I sent 2 more...nothing happened.
It was only towards the end of the meal that I saw a guy get up, ready to leave, holding a brick in his hand and shaking his head while telling his mate he had no idea what was going on...... At that point me and my girlfriend (yes...she doesn't mind BJacking as long as it doesn't get obsessive) started laughing just as the guy came past our table......
I assume he immagined it was us....but he said nothing.....
Reflection: BJacking in places like restaurants is dangerous:
you are sitting there and Bjack someone, however, unless you've seen the owner of the BJackable device you don't know who it might be....what if it is someone sitting right next to you? For this reason I advise not to send offensive messages unless you're sure not to get caught. People may get pissed off and you can't blame them!

Had a good BJacking expeience today. Went to a local Harvey Norman (for those who don't live in australia, HN is a large electrical store) to see how much C&C Generals was and i saw a sales guy demoing an IPaq to someone. I work at Siemens-VDO and we have a cleaning
team working there all day.
At lunchbreak i saw one of them running around taking pictures of everyone with his new 7650. All his friends seemd pretty impressed of the cool phone he had there.
And so they all gathered around him looking at the pictures he just made.
That was my chance.
I made a V-card with GET A REAL PHONE as name and T68i@sonyericsson.com as email-adress and sent it.
The guy had no Idea what was going on and made a pretty dumb face when reading the message.
I sent another card with NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON HUH?
After reading that he got really pissed and turned his phone off.
His friends asked him what's going on and he had no Idea how to explain the thing just happened...

i feel sad...i missed the best chance of bluejacking tht lady 3 weeks ago and just now when sitting in a restraurant, I can bluejack the brick behind me because the smart guy off the bluetooth function.
ANyway SE annouced its first 3G product and it come with Long Range Bluetooth...100m!!!!! great for bluejacking!!!! hahaha....we don[t have to afraid losing the connection of the brick in future

My boyfriend's got a T68i and that's his second obsession next to me ;-) I find the phone cool - features and all but honestly, I would still go for my Nokia. It depends on the person's preference (or shall I say needs?). My brick gave me better quality pics than my bf's T68i.

There's been some discussion about this on various boards and 1:1 comparisons clearly show that well-lit pics from a MCA-20 or -25 are much sharper (esp. around the edges) that 7650 pics.

I don't think that Nokia or any other cell phone producer needs my/our/any website to find out about bluejacking. There are over 500 postings on Esato alone. Any more clues needed?
BTW: How long does it take Nokia to change important things in their software or hardware? Right, ages. And even if the default settings for BT on Nokias would be Off, most brick owners would turn it On (and leave it at that) because it's kewl.

Ajack is always free to contact me and if he's got some valid arguments against me or someone else creating a website for Bluejackers (not "victims") to share information, I'm willing to listen. I don't say that he's got the final word in this issue, just because he was the first (was he? I don't know) to mention it here.
Hey, I'm not THAT desperate. I've got better things to do with my sparetime than to work on a site no one wants.
But if I got to a McD and bluejack bricks and 63somethings without even mentioning the term "Bluejacking", I doubt that more than 3% of those people will find either this or any other site dealing with that topic.

@all: I do not want to repeat myself. Bluejacking is fun and I personally feel that it should be contained here in ESATO (even my website doesn't have any info on bluejacking except for a reference to this thread). However, this is a free world and like I said to others in this thread, I won't recommend a website but will not stop anybody from starting one (I'll try to persuade them not to but that's it).
I might even contribute to the site if it proves popular.
I thank all for their respect for me and my wishes and I of course will create a bluejacking document as I mentioned earlier. To know why and what reasons I chose not to have a site dedicated to bluejacking, you can find my earlier post here in this thread.
If anybody wants to ICQ me, please PM me your ICQ number as I am using myBuddies on my P800 to ICQ so I cannot authorize others and do not get ICQ messages from other if I do not add your ICQ number to my list. You can also e-mail me, but I would prefer a PM here in ESATO.
People have questioned if I started this bluejacking thingy and all I can say is that I have not heard of other doing it before me and that all who have done it called it bluejacking (a term I coined up). If there was other doing it before me, all I can say is that is was done independently of me and even I did it by sheer boredom/accident (read first message in this thread).
In short, do what you want, do consider what I had to say but do what you want. The last thing I need is fighting in this thread, I bet even laffen (laffen, tell me if I am wrong) is having fun reading this thread and most importantly DO NOT STOP BLUEJACKING!!!
