so i used to work for a large internet company's tech support
plenty of people who have bluetooth phones in a city callcentre
i'd be bjacking the guy 2 chairs down and he'd be talking to me about it
hilarious stuff
at me new workplace there are very few targets
i do however jack across the room to my buddy inmy admin, so's he can do me favours and such
Posted by etaab
Id love to do that, but where i work they dont let us have personal possesions like mobile phones with us. They have to be kept in our lockers.

you must get yourself a nicer job. bluetooth is a great way to pass the idle hours, you can take a photo of something funny and just send it on over.

Know this is prob silly question but where can I find a working copy of sman? The latest version, I had a beta version but it "ran out" and can't find a full working copy! Bluejacking is so much easier with sman on a p910i!

Heh, i have a pretty good job now (thanks to a promotion) but we're still not allowed such items. For a few reasons, first of all they dont want us making personal calls whilst working, and two in case we break our personal posessions the company do not want to have to pay for them.
I still bluejack from time to time at work though, usually on lunch hours or using one of my S60 phones running bluejack software.

when oh when will a java bluejack/bluesniff client be released so we non-s60's can play more?
are these hardcore java programmers sitting on their hands, or do they all have s60's?

fudging work... god i need this coffee
Posted by etaab
Well, soon maybe.
The new K750 supports Java Bluetooth, so Java bluejacking apps can be made for it.

Go to the phonebook, choose to make a new contact.
In the bit where you'd put someones name, type in a message. Save the contact. Now, find it in the phonebook, press more, send contact, via bluetooth.
Then, when the phone finds another Bluetooth phone, simply highight it and click send. If you're lucky it'll get sent. If not, try again with other phones your phone finds on searches.

I was able to use MobiLuck when I had a Nokia 7610 (I know. I know. It's a brick!). It seems that the only bluejacking software for java phones is Freejack, but their site is down while and it's assumed that they will not be upgrading the software.
you can always Bluejack with out software.
1)Create a new contact (The name being your message)
2)Send that contact via bluetooth
3)You've just bluejacked someone.

Freejack certainly isnt in development anymore, i emailed the author a year ago almost and he said he'd run out of money and wouldnt be updating it again.
It doesnt matter, because it never worked on most SE phones anyway. Java Mobiluck might work on the K750i though.

thanks man!!

does anyone know if there is bluejack software for pocketpc? (ppc2002 or windows mobile 2003?)
I sometimes receive contact files sent from P9xx, is this from sman? I cannot open the contact file even though the file looks the same as the contact files I can make.

looks like a nokia version of Mobiluck...
can't test it out on my ngage, as it is earlier symbian than the latest (god damned nokia and their planned obsolescience)
Posted by etaab
Yes, its crap.
Stick to Mobiluck, even if you have to buy the premium to use all the features.

Hi everyone. You wanna be naughty with your phone...create a new contact under the name of "You've Been Bluejacked" and send it as business card via bluetooth. You should see peoples faces when they get it.
Also has anyone had any problems with their k750 on o2. Mine keeps freezing on me.
Posted by etaab
Cheers for that procterdc, but here on Esato we've all been doing it a couple of years now.
Theres a thread about K750i bugs, some of which seem to relate to O2:

I have a k750 plus a bluetooth enabled computer and so I thought I'd have some fun with the neighbours. I did a search on my phone and only found my computer, but then I used my computer which has a 100m range and found to phones. A T630 and a phone called RADAR. Sadly I couldnt send a message to the phones becasue I dont know how, so instead I sent them a picture of their back garden!

I'm having problems with Mobiluck(nok series 60 version), always crashing, freezing the phone or restarting it... We need a cut.down version, that pg stable, and can automatically send stuff out to the devices as it discovers them...
Posted by etaab
If you're having problems with Mobiluck, you're better off asking on the Mobiluck forum.

Could someone please post some bluejacking software for a sony ericsson K750i?
Thanks
Posted by etaab
The only Java software i know of that works is Mobiluck, and its not even meant for the K750i, but for the 6230.
However, Mobiluck say they're working on a K750i version really soon.
Posted by JT
Ok thanks for that. Anyway how come people have stopped posting on this topic? We need to keep bluejacking alive!!!
Posted by etaab
They havent, its just most people dont find the need to talk about it a whole lot.
Posted by stirlo
yeah, keep up the mischief!
Posted by procterdc
can someone tell me where i can find this mobiluk software for the 6230, as i still have mine.
Posted by Bammers
Big thanks to everyone for directing me to the new sman 1.4 and a BIG thanks for releasing it!!
Posted by etaab
@ procterdc, go here:
http://www.mobiluck.com/home_en.php
Fill in country, email address and then choose the 6230. It'll then give you a download link.

Yesterday I was at the airport and a man with a BT headset passed me. He was really asking to be bluejacked. So I stayed close to him until he had to stop and wait in line. I did a search and found a T610. I send him "Your fly is open". That was fun.
Posted by JT
Friends, romans and countrymen. I have found some blue jacking software, enjoy.

Rename the file as a .jar file and then send it to your phone via bluetooth.

blooover isnt a bluejacking app, its a simple app that searches for other phones and tells you if they're vulnerable to basic bluesnarfing attacks.
It doesnt actually do anything else.
Posted by Residentevil
At the airport home I found many blackberrys. Too bad I could not bluejack them. That sucked.

How do I actually use Mobiluck? I got as far as finding a Nokia 6230i from my K750 and then....?
Posted by paulbang
@all how is the bluejacking experience with the k750i when compared to the k700i . Whats improved here?
Posted by max99
d500 suck for bluejackin
Posted by paulbang
@all i want to know about the k750 bluejacking pros and cons dude. Please tell me
Posted by etaab
The pros:
It has Bluetooth v2.0, so its faster to send messages and pictures, and even gives you a KB value for the transfer.
It also finds phones faster and shows their names almost instantly because it can connect to up to 8 phones at once to retrieve their Bluetooth name and still continue searching.
The K750i also has the option for Java apps to access Bluetooth, so Mobiluck in the near future will work on it. Right now it works, but is unable to send.
The cons:
Because it is Bluetooth v2.0, it only searches for 10 seconds or even less. Because most other phones are only v1.1 they simply cannot keep up with the K750i, and it ends up not finding them. My K700i always searched for slightly longer and found more phones because it was more compatible with other phones.
So, when other Bluetooth v2.0 phones are released, the K750i should be more suitable to bluejacking them.

Oop - only just noticed this... not that I think anyone will have lost sleep over it, but I didn't want to appear rude!
Mine is currently a lowly 7250i... I'm just hanging on until the W800i comes out...
