As a Nokia bluejacker, i don't like the sounds of this Tab thingy! I have noticed my phone reseting occasionally, when i'm looking for devices. I use a spanish program to build a log of devices, with MAC addresses too, and i've seen a couple in there with Tabs in their names... With Sman, and the Tab capabilities, the P series are great nuisance/bluejacking devices!

My Nokia phones all reset themselves at certain times, but thats down to the cheap buggy Symbian software rather than them being bluejacked.
Strange however, i've tried using this tab idea, but it never resets any of my Nokias. I'll have to try it on a friends 6670 soon, see if that does it.

Basicaly, you need a standard keyboard QWERTY or any other type of keyboards. Though a friend of mines tried a something else to over come phones that do not have a TAB button. He typed a tabbed nickname in a text file, transfered the file to his phone, and then opened that file in his phone, and copy-pasted the nickname.

i wish i could bluejack people here in the states. but it seems no one has bluetooth phones. ive tried malls, restaurants, bars... no luck with sman. anyone from the states have any successful bluejacks?

The nokia ngage/qd is a great phone for "allaying suspicion"... You jack somebody, and if they are looking for the culprit, you're just 'playing a game'

Nokia phones cannot read the TAB character, so if they find a nickname with tabs in it while searching for BT devices, the phone will restart.
This is technically not a bluejacking technique since u are not sending anything. You just turn on your BT, and any Nokia phone in your BT area that "does a BT search" will restart itself as soon as it finds ur tabbed nickname.

dunno if K700 can open .txt files.. im guessing you'll have to send the tabbed nickname as a contact.. see if that works.

I've tried this on my PDA, but it wont work (i dont own a P900 anymore)
The K700i can highlight, copy and paste items, but i dont remember how to other than highlight them.
Even if that is possible (which im sure it is) the paste function does not work when pasting into your Bluetooth name, it only seems to work with notes or contacts.
The K700i cannot read text files, it just saves them in the Others folder.

I'm going to try changing my own Nokia,s bluetooth alias to one with Tabs... I can copy and paste to the name... It could be disastrous, though... I'm not sure if i can copy the TAB characters from a file if my phone doesn't see them...

Well, i tried this with my computers Bluetooth name and it worked.
Both my S60 phones rebooted when i searched for my pc !
I tried sending a contact with the tabs in the name, but they just get saved on the Nokia and display as a simple space. It appears it only works with Bluetooth names.

but i think u're stupid. I think that, though 7650 is a brick, but u forget something, it's the first symbian phone, which is followed by any phones factory, including SE. And i think every nokia phones receive a notification if someone try to send a bus-card or else through BT.
And i thing you're talking crab. R520 compared with 7650.......... even a fool like your mom rather a brick.
I have SE, but i do have an n-gage, let's become more realistic. beat my n-gage with any your SE model.

So you reckon the K700i is a poor phone compared to a N-gage ?
I'd rather own a T610 than a N-gage !
Btw, i own a N-gage, and i can say they arent very good at all. Poor battery life, out of date Symbian interface, poor quality screens and huge size. Lets not even mention the fewer features the QD has (or should that be has not).
If you want a Nokia smartphone, buy a cheap 6600 or 6630, dont try to partonise people into thinking an old 2003 phone that has even older 2002 technology in it is better than every SE phone other than P series.

Im getting a bit bored of bluejacking now, its getting too difficult. Everyone seems to be swapping their SE phones to crappy Nokia's which require the owner to say yes on their phone before you send anything. 9 times out of 10 they dont see the request !

Yup, i have to agree with that. I was on a bus today and bluejacked this girl with a T630. I sent it a contact saying 'Account Frozen', followed by 'This message cost you £2' with a picture attached that i made..
I was sat directly behind her, and could read my message on her T630's screen from over her shoulder !
She didnt know her bluejacker was so close..

Simple, you make a contact on your K700i, and assign a picture to it. You can also attach ringtones too.
When you send them the contact, the picture gets sent too. Even if they delete the contact, the picture automatically gets saved on their phone in their pictures folder.
Beware though, attaching a picture makes the contact send much slower. I think its because the OBEX object push has a lower transfer rate than the K700i OBEX ftp, because it seems to send only a few kbps.
