Have to reinstall sman on my p910 on a regular basis, is annoying but when you see someones face after you have bluejacked their Nokia it makes it all worthwhile!
Posted by offsight
Bluejacking 6310i's are fun with the bleep bleep's when you bluejack them and thats if there make a sms sound, I find Most Nokia's now bluetooth manually ones and almost all are hard to bluejack on move.
As for Sman if you using program alown for bluejacking i'd give some other bluejacking programs a go which i'll pm you links to sites,
Still best way though is old way with out programs

@stirlo Have you tryed MobiLuck? I think its great for bluejacking, the best one I found yet. Audio and vibrate notification about new found devices and sending messages as contacts right from the application.
Posted by etaab
Its usually slow as hell though sending..
Posted by tom_riddle
i sent a vcard to a nokia phone saying nokia sucks! hehehe... i know this is already up for the classic ones, i just thought of sharing it with you. have a great day.

Dam..SE should have class one BT..
Posted by Bammers
Am I right in thinking that the Moto V3 has 100m range for BT??
How come my p910 isnt like that? And is it true?
Posted by etaab
Yup, it has 100m, but it can only connect to other bluetooth phones if they are 100m too, or you're within 10m of the 10m phone.
Its up to SE what range they give their phones, and not because they cant. Its their choice.
Posted by masseur
is it really 100m? I know Moto quote long range but I have never seen an exact specification and just assumed it was 20m like the Z1010 for example
I've never knowingly bluejacked anyone from that far anyway
Posted by etaab
Yes, the V3 is 100m. SE just changed their minds when the Z1010 was nearing release, and gave it 20m.

just downloaded it, will try it out today!
Posted by stirlo
just installed it, had some problems, the installer kept reading the MMC for about 5 minutes, then when i tried to run the program, it said "installer not finished" ...
o well, i'll try again soon!
Posted by Pitte
It wont work with me till now. Yesterday i was in a shopping centre watching a show. Many peaple watched the show and that was for me perfect to try this Bluejacking. I found many BT phones and many of them were named as 'unknown' buth i found 1 T630 and 2 phones other than SE. I tried to make contact with one of the phones and it did'nt work. I tried again and again and.... not any time it worked. Sometimes he found more phones buth he always found the 2 weird phones.
I did tried for abaut 30 minutes without succes
Posted by Bammers
Use SMAN, the phone does all the work for you! Although, I dont seem to be able to do anything with Motos for some reason, not even the V600 I have that is paired with my p910!
Posted by Pitte
Sorry but what means SMAN?

Ok thanks buth is this work also on a T630 or K700i?
Posted by gojnik064
@Pitte Sman is for Symbian UIQ. It will not work on a t630, k700i.
Posted by DeLa
This whole bluejacking is a bit disappointing. I have a go at it from time to time and every now and then I do find a couple of phones, mostly T610's, unknowns, Siemensens or some Nokia's. I only managed to send the contact a few times but never got to see the reaction of people.

doubt it... Sman is made for UIQ.....
and, in a perfect world, s60!!!

Have to agree, there are a number of people at work wandering around each day with strange confused looks on their faces!! Trying to figure out why their phone has just told them that their pictures have been copied, or they should have bought a sony ericsson, or even that their phone is not happy! I'm still trying to work out which phone is the managers though, just to send that special message to really confuse her! Any suggestions?

Try this URL here. Not sure if you must register first before you can read the thread.
I wish esato allowed me to upload .ZIP files, I feel this site is very important for SE users and would like to have a "presence" in the forums here...

that's nice,i'll have to get that one
Posted by Bammers
Found it ta! You do have to register though! Will see if it still crashes my P910 and let you all know!

when u bluejack and send a contact to someone, will that person see which phone (in my case, k700) sent him/her this msg?
Posted by Davo_169
no they wont see what type of phone you have, they will see your phone name...
connectivity>bluetooth>options>phone name>edit your phone name then select ok
that name is what they will see
Posted by Bammers
changed mine to "virus" LOL
Posted by Yeppi
u mean if i send the contact, that person won't this msg is from a k700 unless he/she does a search with their phone to see which BT device is on?

And... did it crash your P910?

Some phones, like Nokias, will show your Bluetooth phone name, some wont. It depends on the receiving phone.
The person receiving the message will have no idea who sent it them - Bluetooth leaves no traces.
If you dont want them to be able to find your phone, either keep Bluetooth off and let the phone turn it on and off again after using it, or hide your phone ( show phone / hide phone ).

@ajack, not at present!! Sounds like it might be ok!! Hurrah!

u can send buisness cards through bluethooth? can u on a v800?
Posted by Bammers

Posted by jenbones
kwl lol

Curious to know if anybody has install SMan v1.4b2 and used the bluejack module to send non-vCards (previous version of SMan could only send vCards).
Have not had the time to test that module ourselves.
Anyway?
Posted by Bammers
Have tried, managed to get it work once. Although my P910 been playing up again, turning itself off and getting the dreaded blank screen and totally unresponsive! Am getting quite annoyed with it now!
Posted by mert138
is there any link for SMan v1.4b2

yes it works fine for me. it depends on the size of file u send as if it is a large one it will take a while n u might get timed out. u culd send files in the previous version of sman simply by using a fileman and putting ur choosen file in the sman folder and call it sman.vcf. it worked a treat .

Why do you want that version when SMan v1.4b3 is out?
Go to the SMan v1.3 thread here in esato and you'll find the relevent links...
Posted by Bammers
Seems to be ok, my p910 still not particularly happy tho. In fact I'm quite disappointed with it!

The best place to do a bluetooth check is definately in london underground!!!!i did and like 10 people came up!
Posted by Brazz
T630. Firstly I was sent a BC but cannot find it! Does the T630 support BC's?
Secondly I found out how little people know about bluetooth - I was bluejacking a mate and he typed in code which I gave him. He did not realise that I could search his files and found saucy pics of his girlfriend!! He was a bit embarrassed when I told him and duely unconnected himself!!
Posted by Bammers
@brazz, what code would that be then? How do you do that? I've only ever been able to send a message to another! Not check through their phone!
