If the Bluetooth on the other phone is busy, it probably wouldnt accept the contact, no.

Business phones like the P800 & P900 sort contacts by surname first.

So if i sent a proper contact, e.g David Beckham, it would display the contact Beckham, David.

The trick is, when sending messages to business phones is either to put the last word as the first, or put something at the start of the message so it appears at the end.

For example send ! You've been bluejacked so on the business phone it is displayed You've been bluejacked !.

Posted by mince-inside
Anyone tried sending .mp3, .wav or .mid? I was thinking of getting the 'Stripper' theme tune (you the one trupet/trombone ba ba ba baaa ba ba ba baaa) and renaming it to HappyB'day and trying to send it as see if anyone plays it!

Actually, it would be You've been bluejacked, !
And, as I wrote, it is T630 who changes the order of fist- and lastname -- not a business phone...

Posted by etaab
Oh no ! i missed a comma !

Here you go: , and heres another for the price of one ,

From the T630's ive used, they've never put the surname second, they've always displayed it what you see is what you get.

In fact, yours is the only one that does it that i know of !

Posted by alpal
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think for the P800 or P900, the sequence of the displayed name is dependant on the user's settings, coz if you go to the phonebook, click on a name and then edit, you can change the order of the display. So it really depends on the receiver's settings. I stand corrected

Simple test:
not changing a thing on the receiver's side, I'm sending two times contact 'Hello there!' from T630 to PocketPC - first time with 'By first name', 2nd time with 'By last name' setting.
Here what is displayed by PocketPC:
1 - 'there!, Hello'
2 - 'Hello there!'

Posted by etaab
alpal, im not sure about that. When i had my P900 i never saw that option so i cant comment on it.

spooky77, its not your T630 that swaps the names around, but your pocketPC. Anything that gets sent to your T630 should be displayed correctly.

On your pocketPC, if you choose to have contacts sorted by surname, then any contacts you receive from any device will display the first word at the end.

Hi guys!I'm having fun with bluejacking for almost a year know, but unfortunetly I never managed to see my victims untill today.
I was waiting for a bus and I had this fella front of me.He was a kinda stupid looking, show of type for nothing. He had a chunkiest bluetooth handsfree I've ever seen on one of his ear and he had an earphone in his other ear which was connected to a PDA.Of course he was holding it in his hand to let everybody see how cool is he.Anyway he was annoying me,so I've decided to have some fun.Because he had his bluetooth handsfree I tought his bluetooth is on on his mobile.Well it wasn't but as I found out later his PDA's was on.I sent him a message:You look like an idiot! He almost droped his PDA when he saw the message.Especially because I changed my bluetooth name to Wanker Zone. I've never seen anyone look that puzzled as he was.
Well,I had my revenge on him.
Don't look ridiculuos!!

Good idea m8! I'll be at Bethesda Naval Air Base starting Tuesday. A friend of mine is getting promoted to Vice Admiral, so I plan to try to bluejack a few Admirals at a Navy promotion ceremony! Potential choices:
President bush wants to talk with you.
Your fly is down.
Your pants are split.
There's a grass stain on your ass.
Your hard-on is showing. <---personal favourites
Nice brass. <---|
Attention on Deck!
You are being deployed to Iraq.

Any other ideas??

Here's a poser for you I tried to blue jack a door today
I was waiting in a building society and whilst looking around I noticed the disabled button for the door had no wires attached, it was glued on the glass.
So I searched for BT and found unknown device. Is the door BT? There is no line of site with the motor. It would make sense to use this system and the entry system was recently fitted.

Unfortunately not. Theres many many various types of wireless devices that are used for such things, Bluetooth is only one of those types.

Bluetooth is only meant for electronical devices to communicate with each other, not actually control everyday objects like doors, lifts and windows.

I can't wait to start bluejacking. I'm sure someone in houston will have their bt on. Thx for all the great tips and ideas.

Whilst in the airport waiting to be manually screened by the TSA, I sent the message "TSA SUCKS! ! " I found 3 devices, one of which had just a number for the ident. Ends up it was the TSA supervisor doing the manual screening! He looked at his phone and said, "WHAT?!? Hope I nevere see this Son of a BIT**!" I tried to pretend to be talking to someone on the phone, but with a silly grin. I think the m8 behind me figured out what I did. He was laughing too. I should have followed up with Virus Received. Delete it? but didn't have the chance.

Posted by kimcheeboi
that one's funny!

btw has anyone used bluejacking to talk to a girl? I think it would be a great way, its just that ive never had the opportunity

@all:

Did you know that in 10 days time, this thread would be 2 years and 8 months old? Cool...

Nice to see a little stunt I pulled so long ago become a worldwide "pain in the a*s." A little sad that people are talking about www.bluejackq.com so much when this thread started it all. Of course, most bluejacking site only talk about a thread in esato and not mentioning the actual thread coz they are afraid people will participate here and forget about their site (which only show that you guys rock!)...

Keep up the good work... and one final "words of wisdom"...

"BJ is definitely no the same and BLUEJACK!!!"

Immigrants do better grammar than Americans. Americans are too lazy to do it right. Even in newspapers you can see: Oh, he don't do that or the police have identified the suspect. Oh well the greatest country in the world, eh.

I really want to try this bluejacking out now. I'm not sure of where to try it in norway though. It's not a big country, but we do have cellphones. So anywhere is possible or? :)
It'll be fun!

@Kim: When you have a prez, who attended Harvard and Yale and is not master of the english language, then you wonder, who can save this country and how bad is our educational system?
And newspaper editors, who do that for a living, which tree school did they attend and how accurate is that news article?

Posted by 50Cent
i got a mates T68i and scanned my classroom. it picked up what i though was a student, so i sent some abusive messages (with good harmless intentions) only to discover it was the teachers mobile.

....never saw that phone again
my mate was well pissed off with me for quite some time

Twista

Try doing it in places with lots of people. I have great success at Oslo S and places with lots of people, like the cinema.

Posted by kimcheeboi
the mall and airport are great places too! (especially in those damned security lines at the airport, i found 7 phones once)

I would not recommend it m8. Many gyms in the US have banned mobile phones (or at least camera phones) because of perverts taking photos of others nekkid in locker rooms or whilst exercising, then posting them on the web. Several people in the US have been busted for this behaviour, as well they should!

How 'bout "Chow down . . . lard arse" and send it to people in a restaurant??

Posted by lordmat
me and jimbodoggy live in the uk
my p900 found a k700i but it took about 30 trys to work
ut i did it

Posted by morfeus
Yes oh yes!!!! "Virus Loaded - Erasing Memory" I did it! It was in a club, and the environment was extremely target rich! All these pretty little things with their flash BT phones and most of them not having a clue how to use them. It did take me the longest time to be successful, mind you. Try after try, it kept saying "Bluetooth connection failed. Retry?" I dunno if it was just a coincident or not, but I put a random number as the 'Home' number and it started to work, although there were still occasional failures. I must have sent that message (and "Good phone" to a K700i user) about 15-20 times (I lost count, failures were probably 3 times that many! over the course of the night. Such a shame that I didn't know who I was sending to 'cause there were too many people around (it was packed).

well done

You guys are a bunch of sick, perverted, "pain in the a*se" creatures. Disturbing and annoying all those poor innocent people... I'm so proud of you and thinking of it brings tears to my eyes...

This thread is 1 Years, 8 months strong! Keep it up guys... (and gals)...

yo Ajack..

have you heard of CARIBE virus? its so rampant here in the phils.. people are getting more aware of turning their bluetooths off because of this virus.. (which makes it harder for us bluejackers to play our innocent pranks!)

just want to ask.. does this virus affect P800? or any other SE phones?

Posted by AdsP800
Been sending bluejacks with CARIBE uploading.. havnt been able to see who has been recieving it tho as has been crowded and noisy railway stations etc

Not posted here for a while, had an excellent one this am.
Browsed and found 'Sexy Hooker Shel' being my usual sharp self I sent
'How much for a BJ?' (not expecting her to get the double pun) she passed her phone to her boyfriend who promptly renamed to phone 'Puck Off' (I think I may have the 1st letter wrong)

I was quite impressed to discover that it all started here... Heard about it but never bothered trying it.... so after reading the first 8 pages of this thread, gave it a bash. Managed to discover a colleagues BT enabled Printer at work....

Waited for someone to walk up to his desk, then sent him a soft p*rn pic, which started printing immediately...

Hillarious...
