I bluejacked a lorry driver on the M1 yesterday - the look on his face was hilarious when he received "Hello, you've been Bluejacked"
(before anyone kicks off at me for using my phone on the road, my mate was driving, not me)

bleujacking is not the same as 'toothing' though

Care to explain what "toothing" is for the less educated?
Posted by Vlammetje
in short and simple words 'toothing' is connecting to a random stranger with a
Bluejacking is not aimed at personal contact though

hi I have this problem with bt. I was in the cinema today and i found some unknown devices with bt. So i tried to send them a note with whatever i wrote there but it said bt connection problem try again? or sth ike that. but following that i found t610 and had no problem sending a note.
Posted by Vlammetje
not all devices accept notes. That is why most ppl send contacts.. they are accepted by the largest range of

Has anyone tried bluejacking the new Kodak Picturemaker machines in Boots & Carphone Warehouse stores across the UK?
I was in a Boots today and saw 2 of these new machines, which print pictures from digital cameras, CDs and mobile phones. I wondered how you transfer images from a phone, so did a Bluetooth scan and found two "PictureMaker" devices... unfortunately as I was next in the queue I didn't have time to see what happened if I sent something...
Posted by etaab
You can send contacts to them but nothing happens. You can also send pictures but you have to pay to print them out.
Next time im in Boots or when i go to pick up my K700 from CPW i may print some off to test them properly.

sry I forgot to say that I also tried to send contact to those unknown devices and still with no luck
Posted by Vlammetje
when the recipient needs to 'accept' the incoming item but doesn't, your connection will also fail
Posted by Blexcroid
Using 'service center' or message center' certainly gets more victims to accept the messages. Thanks for the idea m8! Bjacking rarely fails now except when the vic gets out of range. WooHoo!

Whenever im b'jackin i find the best places to go are bars and restaurants. Mcdonalds and Burger King also yeild some good opportunities, as when people are stood around talking or sat eating they cant walk out of range.
Posted by Blexcroid
The local Barnes & Noble bookstores also yield lots of good opporunities. People are often seated in the couches and divans reading or standing in the book areas. Lotsa BT phones in the bookstore last night. I sent, "Why are you looking at the porn books?" to two different phones. Wish I could have seen the reaction!

i decided to be 'unethical' and post goatse (
you should have seen their faces when they recieved goatse man from customer support!!!!
Posted by etaab
Oh man thats sick ! I've only seen the goatse man picture once, and that was enough for me..
And you frowned upon me for taking pictures of girls butts
Posted by kimcheeboi
i know i was totally out of league... but it was HILARIOUS!!!!!!
Posted by etaab
It wouldnt be hilarious if you sent that picture to a child, that would be pretty nasty..
Taking the odd picture of pretty girls is just being cheeky, not nasty.
Posted by kimcheeboi
gentlemen arent cheeky
but gentlemen dont send pics of goatse to strangers

I just found a 6310i from my pc and someone was outside in a car waiting and i sent a contact saying 'Youre tire is flat' And he got out and checked the tires
Posted by kimcheeboi
You should have sent a goatse pic! :-D

Was at the Rose festival and did my first successful bluejacking. Many ppl waiting in line to get on the rides. The perfect victims. I had a Nokia 3650 on the radar, but my phone was waiting for a reply to send the message, so I did not get to send it. However, got another device during my search. It just said phone. I send "Serious Error detected" and it went straight through. Because it was pretty loud around I never got to spot the victim. Still my evil self got a kick out of it. hehehehe

I have this problem with my t610. Few days back I sent some stuff to my friends t610, everytime i tried to send him something my phone didnt search for devices it automaticly showed my friends t610(ok so far so good). But later when i was at the mall i tried to sent some1 I found a contact and again my phone didnt serch for devices it automaticly showed T610 which belonged to my fiend (but he wasnt there!). So then i tried to send anything by bluetooth and again that t610 still didnt disappear! so I reboot my phone and everything was just good, but the thing that bothers me is that after i bluejack some1 I have to reboot my phone so that this device which i bjacked can disappear.
help!
Posted by Sammy_boy
Yes, that happens to me as well, it's not a major problem, just an annoyance isn't it! It happens to me as well on my P800, and on my Nokia 7650. Don't worry about it.
btw, this is probably a rather naive question, but what's this 'goatse' man? I've heard lots of people talking about it, but no idea what he/it is. If it's rude, it's probably best to pm me!

They mentioned something about "long stretch" being related to it... I'll leave your imagination to do the rest!
I bluejacked a few people in Pizza Express the other night - it was Friday night and the place was queued out the door. The first time I scanned I found no less than five available BT devices, but only a couple accepted - most just switched their Bluetooth off.
It was pretty humourous though, a guy with an incredibly hot girlfriend walked in and when I scanned a little bit later I found a new device named "Dan"... so of course I told just how good his girlfriend looked in the top she was wearing

@Guy89: When you initially search for BT devices with a T610 or T616, the screen says 'searching...' After you have paired with a device (eg sent a message), and you go to search again, the phone you paired with will still show, but if you look carefully, it says, 'searching...' at the top of the screen. It confused me for a while too, but it really is searching. If it bothers you, the only way to get rid of the device from showing is to turn the phone off then on. Resetting your phone wastes precious electrons from the battery. Just one of those quirky things about BT.
Posted by kimcheeboi
pairing isnt sending a message... its when two bt devices enter a code and 'pair'you can do things like dial-up and headset, etc.
Posted by etaab
Also, the reason why it still shows your last bluejack victim is so you can send more things to them, without having to search over and over again, the phone assumes you know the person and are still in range.
Its not a bug, the phone does it on purpose !
Remember, Bluetooth wasnt made for bluejackers.
As Blex said, the phone still searches, look what it says at the top of the screen !

Wow a grapple fan from the US!
Anyhow, BlueJack on the train coming home from a shite day appeals to my cruel sense of humor (equal to laughing at old ladies tripping up, then go and help the of course). Using sman send 'Stolen Phone!' a few times then at the 1st stop send 'Moving in' (watch their heads spin like tops) now to create a bit of atmosphere 'Getting closer' at every stop - kills me every time, must grow up one day.
7 at once is my record.

what is grapple? i just know it was in an adam sandler movie

Picture the scene, it the 1980's in the UK watching World of Sport (hosted by Dickie Davis) on a Saturday afternoon to see how you footie team's doing, after all the real sport on comes Tea Time Wrestling (aka Grapple) - way before the WWF shite in the 90's. Basically it was aload of old over weight men pretending to beat the crap out of each other (who should have known better) - Big Daddy being the Champ (easy easy easy easy)

I bluejacked a guy at the subway today. I sent him:
Name: Satan
Telephone number: 666
E-mail: Satan@hell.com
After a short while. Two guys at the seat beind me started to wonder who had sent it. And they laughed of it.

I got 4 people today. The first was someone i didnt see, it just went to a T610. Then i got a girl on the bus with me, sent her a message telling her to check her pictures folder, when she did, she would have seen the picture i attached to the contact saved on her phone without her knowing.. top laughs ! Then when she got off the bus i sent her 'T610? nice phone !' and 'nice ass !'
Then in the bank i saw a guy with a 6310i, so i sent him 'hey there sexy !' to make him think it was from some hot chick. Then i got a woman in the supermarket with her 6310i, and sent her 'Stolen phone!'
Lots of fun !

I thought that I was going to get punched whilst in Maplins! This caveman type was being a bit obnoxious, so I sent him a message saying "You've been bluejacked". While it was still sending, I put the 'phone back in my pocket- just as he picked up his Nokia and started looking at it.
He was obviously very confused and looked angry. I thought that he was going to ask who had sent it and make a scene. He stood looking at his 'phone for about 5 minutes, before walking away, very puzzled.
I'm so glad that I put my 'phone away when I did!

Does the t610 have an option for discover? I'm looking all through this thread, but I can't seem to find where to search for other phones. Do I go to My devices and try to add another device, or is it done elsewhere?

BJacked a real goober with an N-Gauge who worked in the "Electronics Botique". First sent "Smile! It confuses people!" Then sent the Etaab special: "Virus Received! Delete it?". I noticed his phone was named Hem-Roid, so I sent "Try Preparation H!"
He saw the last one and said, "This isn't funny. Who's doing this??"

Hey ajack!
Maybe you should consider sharing your story with www.bluejackq.com and see what they have to say? They'll definitely give you honor for it, since it is all yours... (gee, you must lack of imaginery intelligence)

What's confusing? Either you don't have the imaginary intelligence to fully appreciate it or you’re trying to be funny.
