Not sure why it fails, but awesome job!!! Ha ha, this is a classic. I just feel sort of sad for the old lady, but awesome story, none the less!!!

Posted by Sammy_boy
I felt kinda guilty for a while, I could just see her going back to her old man and saying to him 'i just got this wierd message on my phone - has someone given it a virus?' or something like that, and phoning customer services etc etc.

But it was fun! can't wait to do it again!

Posted by rdnymllnsktr
Yeah, poor lady. I think that it fails because the person walks away and out of your reach before you can send it to them

in Sweden,
let your 1337 name be known,
let your marketshare rise,
and your 1337ness be strong,
in the rest of the world as in europe.
Give us today the daily n00b with ,
and forgive us for our wrong jacking,
as we forgive those who have jacked us.
Do not lead us into trial,
but save us from Nokia.
For the 1337ness is yours,
and the power and honor for eternity.

The near thing i have done to bluejacking is "smsjacking", is the same but using sms instead of bluetooth. I know is stupid but no1 here has bluetooth !!!!

WTF? The point of Bluejacking is getting someone that you don't know at all and making them totally confused as to who's done it. SMS jacking is stupid as you point out, in that you know the person, and if you know the person well enough to have their number, well then, that's just plain stupid to do that to them.

got my first victim in a while last night on the way home. i was taking the train and a girl got on while still fiddling around with her t610. so i did a search and picked up 'inez', so i sent her a "Nice Phone!" contact. she sat down, put her phone in her hand bag, heard signal, reached into her bag and checked her phone. she looked a bit puzzled so i figured it must be 'inez'. next i sent a "you've been bluejacked!" (yes, lame, i know) which gave the game away because she must have turned of BT since i failed on subsequent sends. however, while she was checking her phone from the "you've been bluejacked!" contact i managed to catch a vic pic. it's pretty blurry 'cos of the train movement, and i had to be careful not to be too obvious as the train was fairly empty and a bright blue z600 isn't the most inconspicuous phone to be taking photos with (which is why the pic is off centre). anyway, without further ado - here is a blurry 'inez' checking her phone inside her handbag from my bluejacking attempt.

Saw jellie ellie on bbc world yesterday, someone developed a bluetooth prog that can copy all data from your phone

good to get on the real subject...
sat. 24th I was at a mall nearby, and in a jewelry store I saw this dude playing with his t610. I know, I know, it's a SE-phone and all that, but I just couldn't help myself...
I searched and found the t610, wrote a note saying "nice phone! =)" then sent.
and yes he got it.
amidst his wife and kid, he was holding his phone, with the world most puzzled look on his face.
Later I bumped into him and he kinda gave me a uncomfortable stare, I do have a sense that he found out it was me. But never the less, a true bjacking!

I only went in town for 10 minutes,discovered 3 3650's and an unknown in one search,then a 3650 and unknown further down the high street,on my way back up it showed an n-gage,another unknown and a 6600 :-D Bjacking heaven! But failed on all counts :-( :-( :-( My t610 must have been overexcited !!! :-l

Posted by Burgaz
Ok came pretty damn close to my first bluejacking today!! Sat in the canteen at work bored so i thought sod it! I'll turn my bluetooth on! Did a quick search and nearly came in my pants! a nokia6600 was discovered!! My first victim or so i thought. When i tried to send a preprepared bluejack contact my p900 just sat there with a nice little msg saying waiting for response from nokia6600?? BUGGA! So why didn't it work? Do i have to use sman? Cos i dont know what it is....... and i fear change....

Posted by punkserb
yea burgaz p900 is HORRIBLE for bluejacking. my t610 on the other hand s great, would you like to trade?

Posted by Burgaz
Hmmm...

Would it suprise you if i said no?
My missus has one of those t610 thingies?

Really not impressed!!

Burgaz

Still need help with the bluejacking tho!

Posted by armandg
@Burgaz:
did you try to pair with the other phone or just send a card? to me it sounds like you tried the first option. bluejacking is just sending not pairing. if you have a vcard just choose to send it through and it will search there.

<--- uses a t630 for bJacking... =)

no dude i didn't pair i was just try to send a business card!?? It totally confused me? I read somewhere on here about needin the Sman software on a P900 to sucsessfully bluejack? I've got the software but i dont wanna install it on my phone till i know more about it? I've heard its a pain to uninstall...

Somone please help??

Burgaz....

Posted by armandg
No, sman only make the bjacking automatic. Sometimes when sending the victim might walk away, that might be the problem. Though bt is general on all phones (I guess...), I've never done it with a pX00...

Posted by kimcheeboi
Wat contact do you guys send?

I send a 'uve bn bluejacked by kimcheeboi" email:'www.esato.com' contact

Posted by Burgaz
i've now tried to set up an experimental bluejack with my mate and his 6600 under controlled conditions(lol)! And when i open a contact and click send as... select bluetooth, it scans for devices in range. I find the 6600 but when i send the contact a msg pops up on the screen of the 6600 askin if he will accept a bluetooth msg from "The Son Of Satan"(my blue tooth name) why wont it go staright thro??

Help!

Burgaz....

Posted by armandg
That is, as I know, the essence of bjacking. It is supposed to not go in directly. But ppl still look like they've got no clue to what happened when they get that msg... :)

Posted by gaurav_agg
i've just got a p900. which application shd i use to send a note thru blue tooth

Posted by armandg
@gaurav.agg:

No program is necessary to bjack, but manx px00 users take advantage of sman, though it sounds boring.

@kim:

I only send out the number to my former asshole of an employer with the title 'victim for prankcalling'. Works like a charm!

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......................................

seems like there havent been any good bjackin's for a while!

Posted by MTNT68i
Well my T610 dosnt work for this i try every time but it just says no connection or something evén though i can find a lot of other phones ! confusing!

Posted by armandg
@KiMcHeEbOi
Yeah, you think the others have gone bored of the whole thing?

@MTNT68i
remember that the bluetooth only reaches 10 meters and people might be walking away from you aswell...
I know confusing, but hang in there! One of these beautiful spring days you'll catch a poor bastard! =)

Posted by Sammy_boy
I'm still doing it.... much to my girlfriend's annoyance!
I keep having similar problems, finding people, then getting sending failed.... I think either people have set their phones to have :bt: on but not to recieve or something, and yes, them walking away.

When I do get someone, they seem to have their phone on silent, so I can't find who I've just bluejacked without looking suspicious, and they probably only realise they've been done when I'm miles away!

Posted by kimcheeboi
i dunno it is getting sorta old...

Posted by Burgaz
well it would seem bluejacking is now a thing of the past!

Did my first Bluejacking Friday! I was in the cafeteria at NASA Johnson Space Center (Yes, NASA!) I created a contact (rather lame I must admit) "You have been Bluejacked! " in my T616. When I pressed send via BT, SIX phones came up!!!! One by one I sent them the message. Three of the people were at the same table, and started passing their phones around, looking puzzled. I made a bolt for the loo to stop laughing. I may have to eat lunch in the cafeteria more often now!

Glad I spent a week reading and learning from the Forum before I tried BJ!

BJ is something altogether different, my friends!

try bjacking or 'jacking' or :bt:jack or whatever, but not BJ!

Posted by Blexcroid
Sort of like Kimchee is different from cole slaw??!!??

Posted by etaab
The reason why Burgaz bluejack wouldnt go through is because the phone he was trying to bj was a series 60 nokia..

Series 60 nokia's require the phone owners permission for the bluetooth connection to be allowed.

Try bj'in phones that accept messages straight away, such as t610's and nokia 6310i business phones, they are really easy and ive bj'd hundreds of them where i live.
