Bluejacking is pretty much unheard of here in South Wales.... Where i'm from(right up in the valley) people think blue tooth is a new type of Gum disease!

Bluejacking is hilarious here. You step onto a train and get bombarded by PIM items from every differetn direction.
I was in York and went home by train to Newcastle. During that train journey there were 6 bluetooth phones and a headset and a PDA. Every time I made a call, this headset kicked in (incredibly confusing since it wasnt paired or mine), received about 20 notes and 3 photos. lmao

Well i've been out and about in the valleys again today and still, i have blue jacked no one.....
If i post my full address on here will some one please come and stand out side my house tomorrow night so i can bluejack them....
Please....
I'm really feeling left out now!

I visited a dentist in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyll-llantysiliogogogoch last year and he said "Your teeth are alright but your gums will have to come out".
Burgaz, why don't you visit Cardiff or Swansea and walk around a bit. You're bound to Bluejack some poor unsuspecting Welsh biddy.
Good luck Dude....

Lolz all the posts are really dunny, but you guys in Europe and the States are missing out on a lot of stuff to do with BlueTooth, lolz the last time i visited my parents in Kuwait between semesters, i was sitting in a cafe, with a friend of mine , he liked some tunes i had on my T630 so he told me to send them via bluetooth, the most number of devices ever discovered by my phone was 1 maybe two if me and my friends were sitting together. But to my surprise i found more than 20 devices yes more than 20, people in kuwait have started using bluetooth as a method of getting to know new people, and scoring dates with girls, they name there phones as if they are putting a nickname on the net and then simply chat by sending post notes, one thing the poeple of kuwait mostly own SE phones they hate Nokia this is what helped them, it was awesome i went in and got a share of the fun it was awesome it is like having msn on while not at home, why do i need wap if i can chat using bluetooth;) hi guys try to launch this trend it was tremendos fun.
Kepp up the good stories

Most people in the US don't know what Bluetooth is either. And if they do, it is because they read something about it or overheard someone talking about it...
Very few people in the US use Bluetooth. This makes Bluejacking very difficult. I've had a BT phone for over two years now, and I've only Bluejacked ONE person, EVER!
Posted by rdnymllnsktr
Hey hey, I know what Bluetooth is. It's just that most people here in the US aren't as into their cellphones as Brit's are, and others out of the US. I belong in the UK, not here!!!
Nobody appreciates their phones! However, with the coolness factor of wireless headsets, more people are learning about Bluetooth. Also, with the intrigue of transferring things without a cable to your PC, things are looking up, but very slowly!!!

once, me and my buddies were in the movies and i was talking to my friend about blue jacking (which he never knew about it). So what better way to illustrate than to demonstrate ! i made a search and found someone called BlueJack, this guy was asking for it.....
i made a contact called "raise ur hand" and sent it, me and my friend looked around until we found a guy in the front seats raising his arm and "giving the finger". i simply gave him another contact called "raise ur leg!" poor guy couldnt do anything so he closed his blue tooth
@abadicos : im doing my BEng. here in manchester, but im from kuwait. and yes... it is damn fun back home

I have today finally bluejacked a phone. An N-Gage of all things! A year of waiting and its an N-Gage!

well i'm going to Hungary tomorow and that requires going to an airport where there should, if my assumptions are correct, be lots of bluejacking oppurtunities.
Posted by batesie
yes airports are full of bjackin ops.look out for nokias. loads at departures.
we need to convert them to SE. lost souls in need of our help!

my first time bluejacking in a non-mobile phone meet was at a chinese restaurant.. jacked with my trusty R520m... found out the guy was right at the front door eating with some buddies.. jacked his T610 lol.. he was dumbfounded
Posted by agenthambo
Im not sure if its been posted here already, but people who have jacked T610s, do you find it goes thru straight away? Does anyone know if they make a noise or have a "Accept?" question on the screen?
I've jacked several T610s and my contacts/messages have gone straight thru. Kinda sucks if you send a message like, "Im watching you, you can't see me." and they won't know about it unless they go thru their phone weeks later. Although thats still fun.
Someone with a :bt:jack site should have a list of phones and how they react to incoming messages. That would be a great feild guide.
Its great living in Australia, every bastard has a mobile phone, even kids have them, so blue jacking is easy as, just need to take a stroll up to the corner shop and BAM 3 hits.

Did my first Bluejackings yesterday and today
Maybe next time, eh...

There's no one in the USA with buletooth! I went to Best Buy (a major retail chain) and asked the phone guy if they had bluetooth phones... He replied, "What's Bluetooth?"
I've only bjacked 5 people, but on the other hand ive screwed with elevators and security systems at stores and the library.

i think my se t616 has a problem. i was at a convinient store this morning and i saw a guy with a se t68i. his bluetooth was on because i saw the blue light in the corner flashing. so wanting to bluejack for the first time i pulled out my phone and searched for devices, but didn't find his phone. i tried it about four times but with no luck. i even sent a note via bluetooth to see if he would get it, but again no cookies. maybe i'm doing something wrong. help me out people.
Posted by kimcheeboi
it's possible to have bluetooth on but on hidden mode, that means noone can detct you unless they already have detected you phone. Also, are you sure you weren't too far away?
Posted by georgieo
Been checking on this topit for a while now,but still i can't seem to sent messages on me p800, it finds the nokia 7650 or t68i but some where its not bonding/pairing.Can the p800 bluejack' or not? Please help as its been over 3 months of trying and not having much fun like most of the guys on here...

@coopere... I tried 'bluejacking' a friends phone last week, we were in a night club, and I was scanning for phone, and she goes "are you stalking people with your phone again" and im like, "No not this time" but i lie. Anyway, she tells her friends what I was doing and turns on her BT so I could find the phone, I couldn't, I grabbed the phone off her to see if it was or hidden. It was fully visible and on. But my T630 couldn't find her. I turn my BT on and she could find me, and the phones were only inches apart. I don't know what happened, but Im putting the blame square on her phone as it wasn't a
, Also makes me think, I should be seeing alot more phones than I should be, just that the other phones suck and don't broadcast their "id" right. Not to defend nokias or anything, but at least they got something right. My friends phone wasnt even a Nokia.
NEC, Sharp or Samsung or somthing.. all I know it sucked.

Is the P900 a good phone for bluejacking?
Posted by ajack
@Residentevil: Any SE UIQ phone with SMan is very good for bluejacking... :D

hehe, the best one is where u take a photo of them and send it to them with the message.."im watching u!!!!"
scare the shit outta most ppl especially if they dont know about bluejacking

Next wednesday, when I get paid, Im gonna go for a Bjack excursion into the city, and try to find me some blokia users. I plan on sending them a picture to their "good" selves too, if I find them. Might also head to the mall too after easter. Im working this saturday, so should be really good money.
Still Bjacking everytime Im at work, is the hopes I find a blokia user. I really want to send them the "Hows Safeway?" contact, even if I cant see them, it should rock.
Posted by kimcheeboi
sorry, i didnt catch what you meant by "how's safeway?"
Posted by georgieo
I am still lost on this 'bluejackin', install sman on my p800, went to malaga on tuesday so @ the airport i went into 'sman'software on the phone and to bluejack mode, found a few nokia's there, then was stuck on what to do next???so went to message tag, then i input a text message press ok, it ask me to stop the bluejack scan, so i did.Now i don't know if the text messages i inputted was sented or not, any answers, please...
Posted by agenthambo
@KiMcHeEbOi: Sorry d00d, Safeway is a supermarket chain here in Australia, its a "Sister" company to Woolworths here. Its the same as Woolworths, but in Victoria, its just named Safeway (I don't know why). All the shops fixtures are the same as Woolworths, even the logo is the same, just says Safeway insted of Woolworths.
So sending the contact "Hows Safeway?" while in the shop really wigs the person on the other end out.
Posted by Arsh_Dhillon
Sorry i am not very technical, but dont you have to pair the devices before you send anything ?
Posted by masseur
no, you don't have to pair, and thats the point of bluejacking.
if other phones are advertising their availability because they are in discoverable mode then anyone else can send them stuff. Doesn't always work but alot of the time it does as you can see in this thread
Posted by batesie
was on the bus today. full of people. sent 'the wheels on the bus go round and round....'. anyway i was in both lakeside and bluewater (2 of the biggest shopping centres in the uk) and in all the time i was there i couldnt find anyone to bluejack?! i found a couple of mokia's but couldnt send them a 'BUY SONYERICSSON' message. and to top it off, the sony centre were selling ms duo128 for £70!!!

hey ppl!
i'm reading from the beginning to end to catch up with you, but only got to page 78 or so... *phew*
anyways...
my first post for my first bjack!
at work yesterday (I work as a cashier at a grocery store(BOY does that suck!!!)) and this guy was to fix one of the machines there. I was bored and by this guy's looks he could have a Suckia (repair men and construction workers and such), so I searched. Lo and behold, didn't I ever find a Nokia 6310i!!!!!
I knew it was him, cuz I just searched like two minutes before and noone popped up.
so i sent two messages saying "you've been bluejacked!!!" a half minute later two well-known beeps came from this dudes pocket. he took it and looked like a moron for a couple of minutes. then remembering all those ppl who revealed themselves for their victims and the more or less positive response they got, I decided to claim the deed and described what bjacking was. then he got pissed because I couldn't do anything good besides bjacking ppl and searching for other ppl's bt-devices.
I didn't spoke much to him after that.
a succesfull bjacking, I believe...
back to reading this thread... >_<
p.s: sorry for misspelling or bad grammar/language, due to working my ass off for ppl who actually don't deserve it...
p.p.s: I bjacked with a T630... =D

well its funnier if you mess with their head more, and don't tell them who you are imho.
Posted by rdnymllnsktr
Ah yes, I used to work the grocery store, and I know that it sucks. I sympathize. Good job on the Bluejack, by the way. Eh, that guy couldn't appreciate technology even if it hit him in the @$$, which it apparently did.
Keep up the good work, and don't worry about it. Just don't stay at that job all your life.
Posted by kimcheeboi
lol well many people cant appreciate technology

Just managed my first 'proper' bluejack today too!
Went into Tesco's (Supermarket in UK) to buy a DVD, and whilst waiting to pay for it, decided to whip out my T610 and have a search to see if I could find anyone to bluejack. Lo and behold, an 'unknown' and a 'Nokia 6310' popped up. So I sent 'You've just been Bluejacked' (I know, not very original!!) to the 6310, and to my joy heard a faroff familiar Nokia 'Beep Beep'! I turned round to see a middle-aged woman getting out her nokia, and looking at her phone, then doing a double take. I don't think she knew how to take it - she was had her phone in her hand and a puzzled look on her face after she'd put her trolley away!
I'd managed to bluejack a couple of people at Uni before, but not seen their reactions as their phones were in their bag on silent, and I'd found phones when doing a search many times - but it fails when I try to send something to that phone. Any idea why that happens?
