LOL!!!!!!

you are trying to pair with another phone!!!! You need to go to the item you want to send, select send, then select via bluetooth.

@rndmyllsktr-i know what you mean

regarding the popularity of bjacking-
All of the people who create these stupid websites and try to get their 15 minutes of fame piss me off. I mean, ajack created bjacking, and you dont see him trying to make himself famous for it. (Much credit to ajack for that) Who really pisses me off is jellyellie, who tries to claim that she (or he?, I can't tell) was mainly responsible for the spread of bluejacking. What jellyellie and people that act like jellyellie need to do is to shut up, stop trying to be leeches and profit off of things that they didnt even create, and stop spoiling it for the rest of us.

Hi,

i have an german language Bluejacking Board: http://www.forum.communitynetz.com/

Is jellie still around? Not heard her on the board for a long time.

What's everyones experience of battery life with BT on - my p900 seems to last just about a day with it on, but around 3 days with it off.

By the way, did anyone else know that 02 allow you to dial up 0845 numbers and the calls are included in your monthly allowance?
I stopped using GPRS and switched to using on of the free ISPs - Aardvaak - OK it's only 9600bps but for email it's fine and who really wants to browse the web on a p900 LOL. I always have minutes left over each month and it's cheaper than paying O2 for a data package.

this issue has been discussed in length in multiple threads...and besides its old news already.....let's drop it ok fellas

no point in restarting a flame war...let's try to stay on topic here....cheers and happy jackin

If we all thought like that then there would never be any development of ideas. We'd still be watching mechanical television (J L Bairds version) rather than the better versions that came along later, seeded by his ideas and inventions.

Very rarely does the originator of an idea or design ever see it beyond the first iteration. They seed the idea in others who go on to further investigate and develop it.

OK, so we all know about BlueJacking now - so what's the next step? What can it be used for apart from the odd prank? Sooner or later everyone will know about it but by then those who have been creative will be on to Stage 2. Dating by BlueJack perhaps?

That's not what I'm saying; for example we all know thomas alva edison invented the lightbulb right? Well, just because i have a website on lightbulbs i don't try to make it seem as if i'm the one who did it....
but enough of that bullshit. With the advent of internet dating, im suure it wont be long before there are things like bluetooth dating, etc. However, noone in the US uses bluetooth but it's pretty much up to us to start the actual trend.

most likely the nokia owner did not accept your message.

@kim... erm.... nowhere did jellyellie claim to have invented bluejacking or to be the only one responsible for the spread. As ajack doesn't seem to have a problem, I'm not sure why you should.

For the record, i can report thatliterally NO-ONE overe here has wisened up since the beginning of jacking websites.

So chill... and happy hunting

Guess what? Looks like Nokia is once again following in the footsteps of the greatest, SONY Ericsson. I was recently in my local mall's Gamestop, and was checking out the N-Gages there (I just think it's sad when video game stores start selling subscriptions to T-Mobile, and why only T-Mobile? Odd. Anyways............).

I turned their Bluetooth on, and was going to Bluejack them. I wanted to take a picture of some guy playing around with the N-Gage and send it to the phone. However, it wouldn't send!!!

I went up to the N-Gage and started trying to mess around with it, when, to my surprise, I see that they have copied SONY Ericsson!!! They now have an option to put the phone as "Discoverable" or "Undiscoverable" when using Bluetooth! What the heck!!!

Short story- I ended up sending my "Virus" contact to the guy, and that spooked him out enough. Wonder what he would have done if he'd gotten a picture of his back. Hmmmmmm..................

i also youse my "virus" contact alot... sooo much fun... hahhahah

Posted by rdnymllnsktr
My three most popular contacts to use are my "Fatal Error Contact", my "Virus Detected Contact" and my website contact.

Here's a little tip, make a two line contact to freak them out.

For example, my "Fatal Error Contact" (on the name) has "Fatal Error", then I go into the symbols and choose the "New Paragraph symbol, also accessed by pressing "#" twice. Then I have "Reset Phone" on the next line (but still in the Name section). Finally, add another Return symbol, so when it scrolls the name, the title appears on a third line.

Then, for the "Work" number, I put SONY Ericsson's and for the "Other" number, I put AT&T's (my carrier). Under "E-mail", I put my clubsite (a little cheap advertising there), and the "Title" says Virus Detected, and the "Company" says Virus received.

What the return's on the Name section do is let the name scroll on the other person's phone when they receive it. It's funny, cause it seems a little more authentic. It says "Fatal Error", then the words "Reset Phone" scroll onto the screen, and it repeats. This makes it a little more believable, at least to me.

As for my "Virus Detected Contact", eveyrthing is the same, except the name has "Virus Detected, then "Reset Phone". Funny!

Try this method, if you don't already!!!

I was constantly Blue Jacked on the way to work. Every morning for about 2weeks I had the same message: Visit www.esato.com SE rules.
It was funny the first few times but I got a bit fed up with it in the end. I mean; I have visited Esato a coupple of times...
I changed the phone name to Tranquil's P800 to see what happened and for some odd reason it stopped...
Who ever did Blue Jack me never knew who it was recieving the message since I allways have my phone on "silent" on the train.

Hey guys I need some help form you....

I've been reading the whole thread for the last week but i couldn't find what I'm looking for.... Can anyone direct me how to turn bluetooth on in my Nokia 6610 please... I've looked everywhere but couldn't find it and I can't wait do have my first bluejacking experience....

I'm just kidding ... well not about everything as I really do own a N6610 but I realize it doesn't support bluetooth ...

After reading this post and others I was convinced into buyong a SE T610 yesterday and i love it .......

Just wanting to let you know that you converted another nokia user to a SE user (and happy to convert too)....

I can't wait for my first bluejack victim but I think i have to wait a while as i live in romania and not many people have bt enabled phones over here..........

Posted by djpowelly
@Tranquil... hehe The same happened to me, I sat on my T68i and somehow made it discoverable in starbucks! Then, it vibrated like mad so I took it out and I had recived a Note saying... Nice one mate... Rules... visit www.esato.com. I did a search to see if i could try and find the device that sent it to me but the were 5 of them.... 3 of them SE's! So i couldn't!

Yeh, havent seen a post from jelly for a while!

i have a queston abt sman:

i have 1.2c version, and it supports only short txt message to bluejacking, ive used file manager and found .vcf file in sman directory, when i tryed to replace it with my own created file, i found that sman doesnt recognize it . so greatly wanted to see there support of normal vcf cards with usual fields, or even auto attempts for file transfer. Please correct me if i wrong or maybe have no latest version of sman.

Best regards, sincere bluejacker

jellieellie is a bit busy with her own bluejacking site so i guess she dont have time to come on here much but she is still around and still bluejacking

Posted by Bluejackers
What's she doing to it - I can't see any changes since I last visited.

Mind you, neither has mine LOL - been too busy doing the themes site and the new ringtone stuff.

And still learning how to drive the P900 - why can't they make it like Windows hehehe - mind you it's not as hard to unerstand as my wife's clie - that IS confusing

Guess what people! TDK has a bluetooth USB adapter with a 250m range... cool! Bette Milder (sp?) song "From A Distance" playing in my head... :-)

Posted by shithappens
talk about range

Posted by superunknown
where can i download sman?

Posted by shithappens
u can download sman here

click on Droll Software (SMan) on the left....

Posted by kimcheeboi
250 m?!!?!?!?!?! holy shit.

but if you think about it it'll sorta suck. After all, bluejacking's fun because its so up close and personal. when you bjack someone, it's like the guy next to you. Then you can see the nokia shit brick owner's face when you send him or her a contact.

Other than that, it'll be awesome to have 250 m range on a btooth phone. That's more that 802.11g, isn't it?

Posted by rdnymllnsktr
The bluetooth's not on the phone. It's an adapter for your computer.

Ethan

Posted by kimcheeboi
well if you have that kind of bluetooth for the computer, is it not possible that they could come out with one for the phone?

anyways, it would drain my batteries like a mother f**ker

Posted by rdnymllnsktr
Yeah, a really expensive version!!!

Posted by kimcheeboi
Well you know someone's going to buy it, lol!

How much is the p900? I've seen it for like 900 bucks on some websites (no p900s in the US) and people still buy it, so im guessing that there's a market for 250 m bluetooth phones.

The day a 250m bluetooth phone comes out, im turing off my t610's bt.

Posted by alex_ng_003
hey cansum1 plz make a program like sman for da t610

Posted by Tec9
I was in my local supermarket and this place is usually a goldmine for bluejacking, and today wasn't any different. Firstly I sent my 'you've been blujacked' contact to: 2 phones, 'my nokia is shit' contact to: 2 phones. And sent a picture to a phone labelled: 'ALquaeda bomb activ'

Posted by rdnymllnsktr
alex_ng_003,

I'm not dissing you, but that program would probably suck. The only way it could be done is to create a Mophun or a Java program to do that. This would make it so that it couldn't run in the background and constantly scan for other phones, meaning you couldn't use your phone while doing this.

Now, don't be smart and say that someone should reprogram the phone itself, cause there have been topics about this already. Believe me, if we knew how to reprogram the phone then we'd have changed that damn "Up" shortcut to "Media Content" (doesn't connect to internet, and it's different for each phone).

Ethan

Posted by ajack
@alex_ng_003: The T610's Java is in a sandbox environment and mophun is just access to keypad, gfx and snd... a bluejack sweep like SMan is not possible...

The upcoming Z1010 will have a bluetooth range of 100m !!

compared to the 10m range most phones have now!

Posted by punkserb
without altering the firmware, its impossible on a t-series phone. since java and mophun apps don't have access to the bluetooth functions of the phone, or even the IR i think.

Posted by BlackAdder III
I did my first bluejack today, it was a 6310i female user... She was very confused...

so how do mulitplayer mophuns work then

Posted by Vlammetje
gprs?

Posted by Elrond
@blackadder III What did you send her? Btw Welcome to Esato mate

Posted by Roughnek
that's cool!!!!!

Posted by kimcheeboi
Of course mophun can access bluetooth and ir, ever seen a t610's games? It's java that can't access bt and ir.

Posted by rdnymllnsktr
Indeed correct Kim,

Minigolf is a prime example. You can play a network game via IR (not quite sure why you'd want to) or Bluetooth (NOW THAT'S THE STUFF!!!), so obviously Mophun can access the Bluetooth and the IR.

But we are forgettting the whole point of this thread!!! So.............................

The other day, I was in my college library. I saw some guy with a phone looking like mine (wasn't sure if it was a T616 or T610), so I pulled out Squeaks v3.2 (MY PHONE!!! Squeaks v3.2 is NOT a program, it is my phone!!!) and sent him the "Virus Contact". He looked around and seemed VERY confused, ha ha!!!

Why don't we keep this thread to only how we have Bluejacked people? Thank you!!!

Ethan

Yes let's!I bluelacked some poor idiot who had a n-gage, it was in class and now he has to bring cookies to class because his thing (wtf is a ngage?) Kept going off and i don't know why he didn't turn it off. Its funny as hell tho.

One thing to say ..... I LOVE BLUEJAKING!

lol

Posted by Tec9
I think the only reason Nokia keep making shit phones (N Gage, 7650 etc etc) is so us normals (SE users) can have a laugh while the uneducated fools try to work out what Bluetooth is, and when they finally get it they will exclaim 'bluetooth, i want one of those' (speaking from experience here). I bluejacked yet another Nokia user today, and tomorrow I'm going to John Lewis (should be good hehe) via the tube (should be good hehe).
