Hi friends,

I like this feature but I would not call "bluejacking" rather "bluecontacting" since it can be used for several purposes

I searched on the bus the other day and found an Ipaq, looked around and saw a nice lady looking at here Ipaq I assumed it was the one and sent "HI" but she closed the Ipaq and put it in her pocket before the mess got across. With the Ipaq in standby it is obviusly not searchable..

Anyway, I use the P800 now and I have put it to always be discoverable and I am just waiting for some (nice) person to contact me over the link..

We certainly don't mind people making their bluetooth discoverable, and it can do more than annoy brick (Nok*a) users. Just that when we do it, we are bluejacking... otherwise, it's technically called a "Bluetooth OBEX push."

This "bluejacking" thing started out as a fun thing and I hope it stays a fun thing. If you agree or disagree on something, just says so and why. I do believe that name calling should not be done here (unless you are bluejacking a Nok*a user, not in this forum). I also think that we should all stick together and have fun.

If you look at the thread, I feel that INTRUDER has successfully gotten us regulars to squable and argue with one another. Let Nokia users do that, we are after all better than them .

Hi all, was at MidValley (Malaysia) today and was passing by a Nokia Priority outlet. Did a compulsory bluetooth scan and detected a 7560 brick. Did the important \"Buy Sony Ericsson!\" bluejack on it. Heard the brick go *beep* and walked away quickly.... I feel proud of myself today :-D.

Hi all, from the looks of it, 7650, 8910, 6310i and 6210 (with bluetooth battery) are potential victims. Did I miss any brick models? What about other brands? I mean those that foolishly allow their bluetooth to be discoverable by default.

I have been having some fun with a friend of mine who has a 6310i this week. He is very protective over his phone and doesnt let it out of his sight- he does however have bluetooth on discoverable as default.

I have been bombarding him with many made up contacts (20+ this week alone) which go straight into his phone book without him even realising as it doesnt even ask him to confirm receipt of the business card- it just goes to into his phone book.

He asked me if i knew why had contacts such as 'Adolf Hitler' and 'Marilyn Monroe' on his phone.... to which i casually said no... he is blissfully unaware that he is being bluejacked

I wonder how long i can keep this up for?

Any suggestions for famous dead people that want my friend to have thier numbers?

Not sure what happened on Friday when I attempted to submit a positing I meant to say that What Cellphone ran a test on the N*kia 7650 a while back and experienced problems when attempting to transfer info to a PC via . Maybe Bluejack victims have dodgy software which prevents them from replying to a 'greeting' ? Have to admit that I couldn't resist trying to discover some N*kias in my local on Friday and Saturday. No such luck, but I'm determined to bag a brick.

But i forgot about my latest news in bluejackin!!!! Unforgivable...

Last friday i went to the movies with my woman to see analyse that, with robert deniro and billy crystal (- nice film, by the way), and before it started i was ready to be nasty... But she noticed and gave me a hard time, so instead i started sending some logos, like another guy before described, and i found six phones!!! - sent a lot!!!! Most were just named "phone" (pretty strong imagination, right? DUH! ), and 2 had the owners names, except for a 7650.

The guy with tha 7650 sent me a nasty looking ass!!! It was curious 'cause before that i only sent him the logo i guess he liked it, huh!

my girl wasn't too happy about the ass though

i guess it's cool sometimes just trading shit instead of insulting the bricks (and their owners) all tha time

i liked it! but i guess that isn't bluejacking concept, right? u have to annoy someone to do that!!!

@wookee: congrats, man! that's gotta be one of the coolest bluejackin stories ever told

due to my normal lack of success - i gotta name cinemas as the best bluejackin' turf, ever. what do youse guys think?
