Hey, I never knew you New Zealanders were a race.
Seriously, it's not like a bit of Aussie vs. Kiwi slander will do any harm. It's been alive for decades and all in the name of fun, just wear it and think of something better to say back.
Good luck for tonights game vs. france. 3rd is nothing to be ashamed of

Sorry Boyi,
Ok- enough- lets get back to bluejacking.
I bluejacked a 7650 the other day- he happened to be using his phone at the time, so I sent a message: 'Hows the shopping going?' (We were at the shops).
He recieved the card and started walking slower (I was behind him).
He took a few glances around him, but I didnt give myself away. After he started walking again, I took a pic of the back of his head, and sent it to him.
He recieved it and looked really shocked- he actually stopped and scanned around him, but by this time I had gone to the other side of the walkway and put my phone in my pocket.
Then I sent him- 'you've been bluejacked'.
It was damn funny.

Places to jack: High Schools, Universities, Shopping malls, cafe's (anyplace with people that look decent enough to own a mobile phone
Things to send: Love, Hate, Humour, Pictures of the victim him/herself (great idea hurny, even though you suck), SonyEricsson endorsment!!! and ofcourse Nokia slander! ... porn ?
Seriously, you should try and think of your own things to send, thats half the fun.

Went to the NEC motorbike show earlier this week, did abit of bluejacking - at one time I had 13 found devices to choose from. They were mostly Nokia's - heres a pic that proves which sort of Nokia is most likely to be bluejacked
Excuse the blur but I was in point and shoot mode on my digicam and that never works well in low light. If I had scrolled down the list it would have shown more of them too.

I am a convert to Sman Bluejack! It's so great to have your phone discreetly in your bag and walk around a public place making people's phones beep
Whilst stood in a queue at the local department store, (Clements in Watford), bored, I switched on my Sman bluejack scanner with the message "Welcome to Clements". Within 2 minutes it had got two people
I then went up to the furniture section to have a look for a CD rack. Walked over to where two staff were sitting and as I walked up to them, one of their phones went "beep beep beep" message received... he looked at it and said to his colleague "Business Card Received?" puzzedly, his colleague then said "oh I've heard about that, don't accept it, it could be dodgy". By this time I was right in front of them. The guy didn't accept the business card so he didn't read what it said (shame as it would have been soooo funny, being staff!!!) I stopped just after them to listen to their conversation about it, came back , and asked one of them if they had any CD racks. He directed me over to the section and just as I was about to walk away his phone beeped again!! Oops forgot that Sman keeps sending every 60 seconds!!! I quickly thanked him and went over to the CD racks section which I reckoned was just out of range! I could still hear him talking - but he still didn't read the contact!
Took a quick look around the section and decided to go.... only to find him now walking towards the section where I was - and "beep beep beep" again!! Time to scarper before he twigs that it's my phone...
I chuckled all the way out of the shop and back to work......

Yeah, welcome mate, good story, shame us t610 users cant have an sman :-( is it really impossible? Would'nt mind a p800 just for bluejacking,if the price comes down now p900 is available i might consider it :-)
Posted by Bjerkebanen
yeah i know its a bloody descrise that we cant have it
Posted by naveen_nagesh
Bluejacking i know, but what is this Sman Blujacking?
Posted by Bjerkebanen
I think its a software that spmas out bj messages repetatly
Posted by Goffizm
Yeah it's a system management program for the P800 that is primairily used for Task Management uses, like switching and closing tasks. It has a bluejacking suite built in. However i remeber reading on the website for Sman that the autor was developing a bluejacking suite for the P800, has anyone has heared any more about this?
Posted by Abby
Can you send the BT message to multiple victims at the same time or do you have to send it individually?
Posted by jellyellie
Using SMan you can send multiple messages to different users at the same time.

SMan? Does my Z600 have SMan?
Posted by Dj Boyi
P800 only :-( tho probly P900 too!

check http://renegade.w3xs.com/ for more details on sman....

I lost count to be honest. It got so silly that in the end I decided to only bluejack phones that had unique names - then there were so many of those too I then decided just to jack phones that were named after their owners.
I musta got about forty or so if not more over the day. I don't keep a log myself and until I get my P900 I can't make use of sman either so I really couldn't say. It was lot, though.
I did quite well yesteday at Lakeside shopping centre too - lots and lots of people there with bt phones. Though the crowning glory (so far anyway, as far as I know) has to go to my mate who managed to detect 16 devices in one sweep at a footy match this weekend. I think his hit rate was about half that at the time though.

Crud - you guys are too good!
Sends photo of victim... /me tips hat to that...
I dont know - maybe i am living in the stingy part of sydney but every bluetooth device i run into is one of those 3 headsets and sending an addy doesn't work (i think the nec only has the handsfree/headset bluetooth profile).
Really sh*ts me - 3 people are the people who needs to get their butts kicked. yucky yucky phones indeed...
Anyone found a way to bug the 3 headsets???

I thought Sydney would have lots of BT devices around (especially defenseless T610's). Perth has plenty.
Posted by morbodestroys
Re: Aussie - hahaha close enough
In my mind i am anyways!
You are right with the bluetooth thing - but somehow there are more 3 headsets out here - which means bluejacking is more of a painful experience because you suddenly get excited because you get heaps of hits when you run a search -but when you try to send, you realise that it is a 3g headset and you have to run off and find a REAL phone. Stupid NEC Pos!!!
Now I am going to head out to the country to fix up some stuff... Do they have bluetooth CDMA headsets? Hehehee that WOULD be funny...

Hey Guys,
A question, does a T610 make a noise for incoming data? ie, is it a good bluejacking victim?
I do loads of searches, but hardly any jacks. Nokia 6310is are always popular...
Posted by Retrix
@Hurney
t610's aren't always defenceless... keep in mind that SE phones have the ability to go "invisible", an ability nokia phones dont have... an if some have its a select few models...
Posted by hurny

I didnt say they were defencless. I said they accept data (eg contacts) of course, if they are on discoverable. Thats obvious. All Nokia phones with BT have the hidden option except the 6310, and even that might I'm not sure.
T610's in my experience have BT on as default. It is on discoverable, and contacts can be sent no worries. Thus the comment!

@hurny
okay... sorry then... it just seemed like you meant they were too defenceless. as in they were in always detectable or something...
i see from your post now that i just misunderstood what you said...
so again sorry.

No problemo m'man.

Well, the best envirnonment for blue jacking I've found is in the computing faculty at my Uni... you can sit in lectures and let fly
Posted by hurny
I was lining up at Chicken Treat the other day and there was this guy standing to the side obviously waiting for his food to come. He had his T610 hanging off his belt, screen facing out for all to see.
So I searched for devices, and there was the T610. So I sent him a contact. His phone lights up, but its on silent so he doesnt know whats happening!
Damn it. Well, other people in the line could see it lighing up. So I sent him another and another. I could almost even read the contact up on his phone. He would have got it later though. It was funny all the same.
By the way, all my bluetooth contact names have this pic attached.

I've posted this else where but here goes....
For the past two days or so I have been ill and whilst searching for ... I can't remember what... I came across this thread.
Yesterday I was well enough to go back to work so whilst sat on the bus I decided to do a sweep.
Thought so... seemed to be all old ladies etc... anyway I sat back a mite disappointed and decided that as well as having a contact I'd make myself a note to send to other SE users saying :
"I see you have a Sony Ericsson.
Good choice, Nice phone.
From Prosody.
So I made that and then got bored agin I looked up and this girl had just got on the bus and she came and sat about two meters away.
I noticed she had a T610 like me so I sneakily did a sweep.
Surely enough a T610 was listed on the devices. I couldn't believe it, but the bus had reached town where everyone gets off. She got up and so did I.
I let one person go between us and I sent the note.
I Followed her... the note sent etc but she didn't look at her phone.
She met about five of her friends outside Woolworths (this is all taking place in Derby by the way) so I wandered into Woolworths I tried to send something else but as I was keeping my distance I couldn't get a lock.
I walked out again and the girl was looking all around her with her friends all laughing at her.
I think she made me... I kind just walked on up to work and glanced back every so often... her and all her friends were looking in my direction.
I had a huge grin on my face and was buzzing.
Great stuff
