SMan will not be ported to the Series 60 platform or any other Nokia platform.

@Ajack , is that the release date of sman 1.2 reversed at the bottom(he he!) of the pic, also on the News page of renegade? 3 days to go?

Got to try this bluejacking thingy out - just got my t610 (also have a t86i) and I can't wait to go looking for victims ! A couple of the bars I frequent always have people posing with their phones - I'll see who I can hit tonight when I'm out. LOL - way cool !

i work in a circuit city (big consumer electronics retail ripoff store). and nerds come in there all the time with the newest PPC and palms yet none of them turn their BT off. same with their t610's and 3650's.
so when managers aren't around i send them the virus contact. and other like watch out behind you and stuff like that. the look on their faces is priceless.
Posted by ajack
@jchu2: What are you talking about? :)
Posted by Dj Boyi
@ajack,do you think there will ever be anything like sman for the t610 mate?
Posted by dazbradbury
Hey Ajack, i think i sent you a Pm a while back, u never got back to me.... it was regarding edit 21?? james? Anyway let me know.
Daz.
Posted by ajack
@boyi: Due to the sandbox model of Java, there won't be an SMan proggy for the T610.

i went to a restraunt last night and found a T610 "T610 Andy's", so i sent a note saying nice phone.
well that's 2 T610's i've found with bluetooth set to on now, so do T610's have bluetooth on by default?
thanx in advance
Edit: also will you be able to use Sman on the P900?

Ok, so i read 10 pages and i am very tired. I am trying to bluejack someone and when i do, my phone asks for the `pass key`. I know it doesn`t matter what pass key u use as long as u match it with the other ...devide.I Can'` match it , as it supposed for them not to know.So what do i do next? I don`t have a pass key given by SE...any way to get ovet the pass key problem?
PS:Whatever number i enter, i get connection failed.

@ajack,thx 4 the reply m8,oh well,i wont miss something i never had in the first place,my 1st jack with me t610 was a success(that was just strolling down the high st)so it seems better than my t68i anyway :-)

Did it twice today! Sent a virus warning to 2 guys with 6310i. I only saw the face on the first one. He looked at the phone and he saw suprised, or kinda shocked. He sat there with a strange look on his face.
I also tried to send to a 7650 but it just kept sending and sending, so i gave that up.
Posted by warrmr
@vinnieza no on the 610 BT is not usally on but people like me just leave it on in the hope of getting Bjacked. or if they have a BT handsfree they will have it on but by default it is visable (i think )
Posted by vinnieza
@701 your trying to pair the devices, instead of pairing (if you want to send a contact) goto phone book --->manage contacts ---->send contact ----> click the one you want to send ---> click via bluetooth.
P.S this is what you do using a T68i.
in basic forms, just goto the item you want to send i.e picture, contact, note etc, and use the options menu and click send via bluetooth.
Hope this helps

@vinnieza:
SMan v1.2 has been tested on a P900 and is P900 ready.

So, anybody found the vibrate and audio alert in SMan v1.2 useful?
I know a lot of people would use the vibrate alert, but has anybody used the audio alert in the bluejacking module?
Hmmm... anybody has a wav file with Freddy Mercury (from Queen) saying "Another one bites the dust?" That would be a cool audio notification... ok, maybe I should stick to the vibrate alert for now....

Hi all, I've been kinda naughty, for some reason I've been taking pictures of PIES (yes I said pies) and bluetoothing them around the office, them the guys in the office took more pictures of pies and blurtooth'd them to me...while sitting on the train going home I decided to do a prox-sweep of the area to see who had their bluetooth switched on, to my surprise 5 people all had bluetooth swithed. So the lovely pictures of the PIES that I had took in the office I sent them to all the other phones on the train. So soon as I pressed the send button I hid behind my magazine just waiting for the sound of TXT messages. 5 different tones sounded and I couldn't bear to hide behind my magazine so I looked around the train and saw 5 very confused looking people all looking that their phones...I love bluetooth.

ahahah i did my first bluejacking today!!!
was at the MYO lunch bar (a lunch bar that attracts lots of office people) in east perth , and i did the search ... i couldn't believe it when a Nokia came up ... so i sent the contact
never saw who it was, but aaaaah what a rush, i can see how bluejacking will get very addictive, there's just somethin about it
Posted by Tha Flipkonijn
About the bluejacking with pictures.
i've tried it, but it won't work because the person on the other site needs to confirm the BT request before he accepts the picture.
is their maybe an other solution so the person doesn't have to confirm??
just wondering

anyone ever got caught bluejacking?
fun would definitely ensue... aheehee.
Posted by jellyellie
'caught' is a bit of a weird way to put it... a couple of times, when i had to leave the place i was bluejacking in, i waved at my victim and they knew who i was (like on a train, or in starbucks), but other times i just leave it on a cliffhanger.
do you mean caught as the victim saw you laughing too much or something?
Posted by Roamerick
Business trip last couple of days. Heathrow Airport is the Happy Hunting Ground! Got 5 distinct bluejacks (that vibrate alert in Sman 1.2 rocks!!) and one of 'em 3 times, lol...
My message?
From: Security
Msg: Please see staff.
LOL! Some very confused looks on my victims' faces!
One Question: Series 60 phones can easily send long notes to cluejack with. Any chance of implementing the capability in a future Sman version?
Posted by Dj Boyi
@Jelly,caught with ur bluetooth left on?Thats what i was thinking at the time anyway;-)
Posted by scottish_steveo
i think he means has any been caught by the victim, its happened to me once, i was in my local school where i study one of my subjects. I searched for a device and found my victim, a girl, she eventually figured out who it was who was
rocks!!!!

/me thinks bluejack has been copywrited http://www.bluejack.com/ (it may just be the designe of the site that is copywright but i jus thaught i might show you
Posted by jellyellie
@warrmr
that site states NOTHING about bluejacking
i bluejacked two other people today... both men, both old, both clueless
i took some pictures of one of the guy huddling around his phone with his wife
Posted by ajack
@warrmr: Yeah, found out about the site a few months ago... has nothing to do with bluejacking... :-D

Nice new victims are the n-gage stands in electronics shops
(btw I've seen them crash two times so far, one was complaining "out of memory" and the second one was just stuck on a random screen)
Sent 'nokia virus' out a few times..
Posted by chaos_ed
@ Tha Flipkonijn:
Picture bluejacking takes a bit more "skill"
.....their phone will then advise them a picture is being sent and if they wish to accept. You dont need to be paired to send pics they just need to be looking at their phone
If you have paired with the phone (i.e yer mate or something) the phone will just recieve the image and notify the owner pic recieved
The "trick" is to be QUICK
1. Bluejack them to get their attention and to identify where they are...
2. Take a picture of them and walk past them or away from where you were...
3. Send em the pic if they are still playing with their phone...If not just do another standard bluejack to get their attention again and then send em the mugshot
HINT: Don't put your name or at least a giveaway as to what phone you have otherwise they may come hunting for ya
Have fun
Posted by jellyellie
'and try not to laugh at their confusion otherwise they will know it was you '
pah! like i'm gonna be able to stick to that!!
Posted by supraking
if you can manage to send them a contact why not just take the photo, assign it to the contact, and then send, they are only getting one thing but can see the pic.
Posted by chaos_ed
Yep you could do that too
phone it tells them where the pic is.
Ive not tried that one tho as you still need to work out where they are by sending a contact to em plus you lose the fun of watching the "bemused one" fumble with their phone wandering why it keeps asking them if they want to recieve a picture

HeHe,i jacked an n-gage earlier, the thing is there was no one on it to receive the msg. It was a demo in my local game shop,so i ended up bluejackin myself cus i went over to it. But after about a minute the accept options disappeared.Anyway, had a quick go and the screen was so dull.Btw,when i did the search,on my phone it came up with the first 2 letters-BJ-then some numbers after that, haha :-D lol

Hi all.
I managed to bluejack an n-gage the other day too (demo n-gage at Virgin megastores). Shame it didn't beep or anything. Anyway, i tried it again a few days later and i found my other message still on its memory.
Of course the message was to Buy Sony Ericsson.
Found a couple of other blockias but connection failed.
Posted by Laza
I couldn't find an 'auto accept' - option in the n-gage bluetooth settings :-/ It would be nice to turn that option on and wait until someone is testing the n-gage and then send some funny bt message
Now the message always has to be accepted before it's received

I'm on wap at mo so can't check if this has been asked b4. When i try to bluejack i get asked 4 a code number in order 2 connect. Is there a default number of some kind? Thanks in advance
Posted by anttheplant
lol all your stories are so funny!!
Posted by jellyellie
@peeta
you are trying to pair to devices
instead of going to your bluetooth menu and selecting 'my devices', just go to your contact you want to send, More > Send > Via bluetooth
Posted by jm2003uk
Just seen the post from Laza...
if u can't find the n-gage when you search, go up to it and go to its Bluetooth menu (usually the left shortcut key). Then just take it off the 'hidden' mode. You should then be able to find it on a search!

Hmm bluejack bluejack..
I hav managed some.. but the funniest event was..
some local Software summit or somtin a month ago..
since i needed a day off i bubled at my workplace we really need me to attend that stuff
there it was.. one event of the day.. allmighty peter Knuthell or whateva from symantech tellin about viruses and hackers and stuff..
me listening that bla bla bla.. linux 6 blablabla code rted bla bla bla dont open atattsments blablabal..
all those fat ppl who decided they come and inspect whats there about software n stuff, ppl that does not hav a clue about whathehell is technology..
then i thought .. its the best place .. wealthy ppl that can affoard top notch phones.. and hav no clue about what to do w those pieces..
ok scenario was as usual for BlueJackin ..
search, discover some blokia 6310
and GOOO:
at first the standard "The matrix has u" (u know my phones name is "Smith")
.........
..........
nothing..
ok Repeat the first step ......... Contact sent (woohoo i smiled:)
Sent once more to locate person..
and there hi was sittin 3-4 meters away from me.. looking at his phone as it was a lets say snowball in hands of hmm chimp..
ok..
next...
then again.. "The agents are comin for u"
and stuff..
.. still the same look at guys face..
then i decided to go more personal approach..
since Peter Knuthell was just bubblin somthing about todays new technology and mobile devices and their security..
(a heavenly gift.. the right scene for my Bluejack)..
Boom i sent "You Are Hacked" and "You are owned" and stuff..
so the guy started to discuss that theme with his neighbour both lookin very nervous and fingering that phone..
nd i thought.. whathehell soon he will turn off his phone cause 2 heads is 2 heads and what better solution could they find..
so i thought .. sure thay hav no idea whats bluetooth and if they knew theyr attacker was in the same room..
I quickly sent.. "And even Peter Knuthell of Symantech cannot help u"
+ "Not to mention that prick on your left side wearing green suit"..
next thing that happened was .. the lecture was over.. and my victim was runnin towards that hacker/virus blabla expert:D
I am not sure what was the reason but he run like a panther
and i slowly faded away from that room.. Just in case..

Yep I can find them OK but they won't accept the business card unless there's someone who presses 'accept' when I'm trying to send something. Otherwise there will just be a prompt to accept business card on the screen, after a while it will go away. Some other blokias seem to auto-accept anything I throw at them

I got a sales assitant in a mobile phone shop the other day, he was extremely puzzled. Which is heartening for the potential customer, not !
