..and give us some good Blue Jacking stories.

@All:Nominations please...

@Ajack: 1600 posts & going strong - what have you started?

Posted by dazbradbury
ok, I got a story for you all.

I was in MVC, spotted a guy with a 6310i, sure enough he had his BT turned on, so I turned on Sman, and set the message to "Shag - (then my mates number)" Walked by him, and Bjacked him twice, he looked round all smiling and excited, looser, i just gave him a guys number...

Anyway, I forgot about this and then remember when i was with the mate who's numbert i had sent, i proceeded to ask if he had recieved any weird calls, lol. Apparently this guy had been textin him and sayin stuff like shag u back, and u wanna meet up... lol.

The my mate showed me what he had wrote back, after this guy had found out it was a bloke he was textin he went mental, started telling my mate he was gonna break his legs, obviously my freind had no clue who this guy was and was getting quite worred. The guy was calling him all the time telling him he knew where he worked and that he was gonna break his shins.

Dumb f**k must have thought it was someone at MVC! lol. My mate was shit scared, this guy was pissed, and after I found out i was pissin myself, great Bluejacxking experience.

Oh, story 2....

I was sat in a coffee place, drinking a coffee, had Sman running in my pocket as you do, message this time was "you've been Bjacked." Ok, so some guy walks in and sit on the sofa next to me, puts his nokia 6310i and some PDA on the table! lol, i was looking forward to this, i just sat there, he was right next to me, lol, his phone starts goin off, then his PDA, he starts looking at them and looking around then starts turnin off bluetooth on his PDA, then on his phone, trying to work out what was happening, lol. It was so hard to not burst out laughing, in the end he turned off BT on both and just walked out after drinking his coffee quite quickly.

Anyway, hope these make you smile.

Daz.

I was today in a pub. I´ve seen a boy with his girlfriend. The girlfriend has an Nokia 6310i than i take a look for phones. I have found an Phone called: Evas 6310i. I wait for a good time where her girlfriend briefly times away is, to buy cigarettes on the automat or on the toilet. Then i send her a message: "Hello Eva, i love you! when we meet times again. Your Toni". Her friend read the message on her phone because he was curious. After his friend came again began it even a controversy and that did not think it it likes and another friend has.

This was very funny!

I found a good place for bluejacking the other day ... my university's canteen at lunchtime. My phone spotted a bunch of N**** users straight away when I did a search, plus you have the advantage that everyone is concentating of their food or the people they are eating with, so you'll never get spotted.

If anyone uses a busy canteen at uni or work, give it a try. I suppose they are good because the people tend to be more compacted together than in cafes or restaurants.

@vinnieza: Depends on what phone you are using to create the vCard. @j_f and aussie: Glad that's settled now... now go bluejack somebody.... :D @dazbradbury: Hey! try not to get other people into trouble okay? put your number in next time... :)

I'm using the T68i, if think it can be done both ways because when you create "my business card" it appears in the contacts any way as my contact.

Posted by dazbradbury
@ ajack, lol, I would put my own number, but that would be stupid! This was so much funnier, and for the fact that I forgot about it for like a week and so my mate had no clue what was goin on, lol.

Oh, have you seen any signs of Edit 21 recently???!

Daz.

Posted by Aussie Blue Boy
@ Daz: I nominate u dude! ...but w a \"mate\" like u who wd need enemies?!Now I'm inspired- gotta think up some juicy numbers to send!(But not a poor mates!)

Posted by dazbradbury
lol, but he's someone that doing that to is just funny. I did have some people that I didn't liked numbers and sent those around a bit, but i never found out what happened cuz i cudn't exactly go up to people I dont like and say, ermmm, have u been gettin any strange calls?? Wouldn't have worked and they wud have known it was me straight away.

Oh and i would like it in Sman if you cud change the numbers of the Vcard, I realise I can do that manually, but sometimes I wanna change it quickly.

Anyway, got a few people today, some guy on the bus saying we're watching you, and another 8910i that I didn't see as I just had Sman running in my pocket, generally what happens! Can't wait for the vibrate alert!!!

Hi,

Just got a T610. Have done a few Bluetooth scans in pubs etc.. Yet top find anything.

Am i doing it correctly?

Bottom Left icon on t610 menu, bluetooth, add new device - it then searches.

When/If i find somebody how do i send them a message? Just send them a phonebook contact?

What do i NOT send? i.e. what shows them my number?

Also what is sman?

Havnt taken my t610 to college yet as its got to be unlocked from orange so i can use my 300 free text payg o2 sim card in it.

Appreciate any help

Chris

where is the best placce to do this sort of thing

Posted by morbodestroys
I just upgraded from a t68i to a t610.
I thought that you didn't need to do the search. If you go through the motions in sending a vcard through bluetooth, it would automatically search for you. I could be really wrong - i haven't started BJing with my T610 but i am looking forward to it.

Has anyone managed to BJ those hideous sh!te NEC 3g phones yet???

Posted by N.M.E.
dazbradbury gets my vote. That's gold.

I jacked a 6310 at the shopping center at lunchtime but couldn't see who it was. I'm still yet to actually see one of my victims. Cept I guy I work with but that doesn't count.

Posted by dazbradbury
About those 3G phones, i couldn't even send some pics over to one when I wanted to, let alone bluejack it! Those phones are so pants...

I had the opportunity to play with one and I thoroughly hated it.

Anyway, about seeing your victims, I allways find that if i spot a 7650 or 6310 user, they generally have their BT on, so i then go over and turn Sman on.... Works alot better that way, then you know who ur getting.

Posted by Tesla
What is Sman?

Sounds usefool for BlueJackin'!

Chris

Posted by Acquiesce
I was queueing up at the teller machine today at lucnh..did a serach and found avictim. Dare not to BJ coz that fella might be behind me!

Posted by Laza
Yeah bluejacking with Sman is nice and easy but you can't really know your victims so easily =/ I'm waiting so much for the new version, so I can feel 'good vibrations' whenever I have a successful bluejack Then I can look around and see my victim!
Today at the Hitec exhibition I got a few Blockias and an IPAQ also Too bad I don't have a good story to tell about them since I have no idea when it happened

/me bumps Ajack

@Daz: Edit21 has been very quiet lately... does he hang out at esato? or only at my-symbian? :D

Posted by dazbradbury
He's not anywhere anymore, and i'm sposed to be helping him at the moment, and he's sposed to be helping me...

Edit: Just pm'd you...

edit: by edit, i dont mean james, i mean ive pm'd you, ajack...

lol....

Got a SPLENDID opportunity this afternoon...... Telecoms product launch at a city hotel!Lots of people about to find out what it means to be BlueJacked! :-DI'll be taking notes on my tablet whilst surreptitiously scanning the room; I've got a dozen\"cards\" ready - and I can just 'drag n drop' em onto any phone that appears on the radar!Wish me well all.

Posted by lor
shouldn't that bluetooth activation thingy have some sort of duration? like it goes off in 3 minutes or something, maybe he was busy doin somethin

Posted by shithappens
good luck mate....... a couple on our behalfs too

we eagerly await your updates......cheers

Dunno whether to be disappointed or quietly pleased... A room full of 'communications experts' (40+) and only one bunny in my headlights. 'Neal's6310' -(don't ya luv it)
Funnily enough, I knew him - and he's the type of character that deserves all I could give him! I turned around and with a little lean I could sneak the odd discreet peak...

#1: "Virus installation detected... "
- the hand reaches for the pocket ("let the games begin")
- he looks (me smile)
- shows his mate ( )

We wait the appropriate 100 seconds...

#2: "Virus installation comlete!"
- hand back to pocket
- shows mate
- puzzled looks ( )

#3: "Your as ugly as yr phone!"

Game on!

- they both start looking around the room...
- he-he he-he

I'm still just scribbling away on my Tablet, looking mostly towards the speaker (they're at the rear, but I'm sitting in front of my table so I occasionally swivel around to rest the PC on the table - letting me look at the action at the back of the room!)

#4: "Isn't this guy boring!" (regarding the speaker)

- Now they're really starting to check out the room!

Then regarding the suppliers promises:-

#5: " & they'll still love you in the morning!"

Now the phones standing up on the table, he's pretending not to look at it, while he also pretends to NOT look around the room!!

Afterwards, he comes up to me to say high (as he'd recognised me earlier) but doesn't say anything and I honestly think he didn't pick it.

I'm like "Hi, how ya goin' ?" etc.

Hmmmm. I could start using an anonymous SIM I've got...
y'know, start (or should I say continue) SMSing him...

Whaddya reckon?

First BlueJacks!

So I was at a electronics exposition today (Holland that is), thought I'd prolly see some bricks when scanning, boy oh boy, BJ's paradise!!!

First victim, guy at a stand, had nothing to do, sent him the "Downloading virus.... 85%" followed by the "Received 100% Executing virus..." message. This guy showed the first message to his collegue who started laughing, after the second he was frantically typing away, and the other guy couldn't contain himself (nor could I!!!)

Next was a schoolguy from a group, I could spot him after the first message.. After the second he and his friends were scanning the crowd, and he said "someones is having fun with bluetooth!!"
This guy was quite smart!!

I finished with the "You've been bluejacked!!!" and oh boy did I have a laugh, as he was once again looking around who it was.

Tried some more, but many connections failed or no receiver action was detected.. and to make things worse, my battery went dead, so much for my first BJ affairs..

I has such a good laugh!!!

Keep BJ'n!!

Another FIRST BlueJack

Well, another boring Law lecture and i spot the old fart of a teacher had a Brick on his desk- so i think, KER-CHING! He is quite eagle eyed so i had to keep it short and sweet so i thought "Yawn- this is boring" would do the trick...

So we are all working silently ..bleep bleep.. He sees his phone and starts grunting.

Anyways that was my first blue-jack and im sure it will keep me entertained in many a law lessons!

p.s. there was a bloke in my class who was constantly playing with his phone, it even started ringing towards the end. Im think my teacher thought it was him!! lol -The perfect crime!

OK, sorry bout this, but a newbie question:

I have a T610, I live in a flat on a very busy street and have a main bus stop right outside (always people there with nokia's etc with bluetooth on)
I have a dongle on my PC (class 1, 100m range), is there a way to bluejack from a PC?

what exactly do i send from my phone if i do it from that? (T610)
what bit of the card shows up on their screen and what exactly does it say?

Posted by dazbradbury
It would have to be less than 10m away, and with walls in the way etc, i'd say you wouldn't get anywhere near 10m range. But if your flat is right next to it, then you create a contact, with the message as the name, then send it via bluetooth, your phone will then find their phone, and send it.

You could allways check what your doing with your t610 and PC, try Bjacking your PC to make sure it's working.

Anyway, if you get that sorted I'll just try and see where to go to send a contact from your PC...

Ok, if you have the latest drivers for your BT adapter and outlook then do the following.... Go into outlook, creat a contact, edit the name field to your message. Now go to your contacts screen and drag that contact onto your desktop (or wherever you want to keep them) then right-click on it and click send to ---> bluetooth ---> other devices

Then search for the device and send it. Good luck!

lol

I've succesfully BJ'd before but every time I try it now, (let's say the past like six times) I've had connection failed, which is quite annoying, considering I get a *PACKED* tube every morning full of nokia fools.

Anyone any ideas? i could be having a HELL of a lot more fun if it connected every time

Posted by whytoi
Just remembered. Maybe I can try BlueJacking with my BT equipped Palm or even laptop. I wonder if it'll work.

Posted by N.M.E.
Nobody getting off the train from the city the other day had a bt device! I searched and searched and found nothing!

Posted by Tesla
If i go into communications > Bluetooth > New device > add device

How come when it finds something it wants a password?

What is this password? Do i set it or is it set on the device i am trying to connect with?

Posted by mmace
OK, with my 100m dongle on my PC i puck up new people every few minutes, I have found something called "OBEX Object push on xxxxxx" where xxxxx is the other Bluetooth devices name, if I right click on this I have the option of "send business card" (have set my business card to be a message), if I do this, it always asks me for a PIN, is there a way to do it without needing a PIN like you can do with phones? I have turned off secure connections etc.
I am using Win XP

any help would be appreciated

Posted by Aussie Blue Boy
@ Tesla: you are trying to pair with somebody - don't do that (unless you really like them) Just do a 'discover' other bluetooth devices - if you find any u can then right-click on a pre-existing 'contact' record (v-card format) and 'send to bluetooth device' will come up.

yesterday i went to see underworld and the cinema was crouded but the film was so good i dident try to bluejack anyone then we went to the maisons arms in town now this was so full i couldent move. and i didnt bluejack what is wrong with me i am a descrase to the whole Bjacking community for missing a perfect opotunity to bjack a bungch of hot school girls (it was school disco nite in town) that rocked.

Posted by dazbradbury
@mmace, did you try what I said?

it works for me. Just try that and see how it goes.

what bluetooth drivers do you have for your dongle?

Posted by jonat8
I got my first bluelack today! I was in Little CHEF and searched for the hell of it and up popped a 610 so I sent a "Nice Phone" contact. The recieving phone must have been on silent, as there were no beeps. Oh well!

Posted by puffinfresh
i finally did it!

yesterday i was at EB, a computer game store in Australia (it is also in the UK). they had a display set up with a Nokei NGage. it had demo version firmware, so the only thing that could be done was play tomb raider, or look at the bluetooth menu.
so i went in and activated bluetooth, then i went outside and sent it a business card with some fake numbers and the name "Nokia sucks donkey balls" from my t68. then i watched the people inside see the screen saying "you have received 1 new message" then they checked it, and got the weirdest look of confusion on their face.
someone complained to the people that worked at the shop, so they went over to look at it, and i sent it again. it was so funny watching them being so confused and wondering where the message was coming from since it had no sim card. one of them got on the store phone and called someone straight after. i think he was calling nokia to report or ask about a problem with the phone's software.
ahahahahahahhaahaa
i finally did some bluejacking and it was so much fun!

if you see one of these demo NGages... try it
they aren't hard to miss, its a huge stand with the phone on it.

Posted by relentle$$
OMG that's so0o cool haha

I think i will be going to the highstreet tomorrow to erm.. buy some computer games? hahaha nice one mate!
