Hey all,

I was sat in the VIP section of a night club last night and whipped out the Ipaq and scanned the room. I got 4 Brokia's and send them the usual crap, but what I really wanted to do was start calling people form their phones.

THERE MUST BE A WAY AROUND HAVING TO PARTNER WITH THE BRICK

wat u were trying to do was effectively a search for devices. You then attempted to connect or pair with the device.

For jackin, u can do a search but that's just to identify the availablility of other devices within the vicinity of your phone.

Wat u want to do is send a contact, sms, note, pix to the other device. In which case, u should already haf the contact, sms, note, pix ready. Select the item, press option key and choose send via , the phone will perform a search and list the devices available. Choose the targeted device and click ok to send......

happy hunting.....

I can send contact, note, pic, ringtone by bluetooth but i can send SMS by bluetooth. I don't have the option to send sms by bluetooth I only have print via bluetooth for SMS is this the same as send sms via bluetooth?

Posted by Vlammetje
yeah kayla you'd have to print via bluetooth

i have to disagree about thestarbux tases betta thing. it is wayyyy overpriced whereas costa i get 35% off anything there cos im whitbred staff

@ Dazbradburry : I bluejacked the HP bluetooth printer in MOTO on clumber street Nottingham, its one of my previous posts, sent a picture of a woman lifting her skirt showing her erm... naughty bits lol. Just wish I'd seen it print off and the reaction of staff, managed to send the pic from outside after a few attempts. I had saved the pic in vga size (sent from pc) so would've come through a decent size! Bluejacking is so much fun. I wonder if the guys at Moto realise they get bluejacked so regularly?! Like your idea of putting Sman on their P800, that would confuse them! Another idea is to try and take pictures of the staff in the shop then send it to the printer, that'd confuse them a bit. This thread should be made sticky!!!

BUGGER I had my T39 for like 8 months and didn't read this crazy topic !

Anyway today I went hunting with my new t68 in a mall, and I found a 6310i but it asked for passkey GRRR and the next second I found a "Phone" to which i succesfully sent a contact named "I'm right behind you" Another cool contact would be "Police! Do not move!"

This is too damn funny especially when you are bored at a movie or in bar, and the best is an expensive mall, when you have to wait for your girlfriend that is spending ages in a boutique

@Vlammetje

I try to send a sms via bluetooth by the method your teach me "print via bluetooth" to both my friend both having T610 but it's away fail. Why??

Posted by masseur
yeah that has not worked for me on T610 (to another T610) either.

Posted by bigteethygrin
Hey just a quick question... do you actually have to pair with the device to send the contact to it or is there something i am missing here.. just that pairing usually lets the othe phone know that you are connected to it before you do anything

Posted by masseur
no, you do not need to pair with the phone in order to bluejack. You simply send your business card, or contact, or note, or whatever...

Posted by TheGlassJAw
@warrmr : i dont mind paying the extra for better coffee, though when i got 2 frapachinos for £6.20 i was a little discusted!! but yeah it was the first thing that came to mind, i guess i could try "costa are not fairtrade, you just helped kill 16 babies"

@masseur and all: The best bjack is to send a vcard coz that is the most accepted data!

Posted by shithappens
sms can be printed via BT, but not to a tee-six-ten....i've tried that tones and failed....it can however be printed to another nokia and that's way better imho

I a bloke and then bought a PC off him!

Sent him 'big brother is watching you' and he looked well bemused, then he gave me his 3650 to put some GPRS settings in,after being used to my t68i i got lost straight away so i gave him his brick back and wrote down the settings on some paper

Good job i've known the guy for more than 15 yrs

Btw,he accepted the note i sent with NO help from me,and i stood over watching him before he said,'you sent me that did'nt ya!

And that's my one and only known successful
It's a strange one i know but planned to perfection

I was in restaurant when I tracked Nokia 7650 - my T68i's normal prey. Immediately he received "Congrats - To claim your prize call" and number included was restaurant's phone number, printed on menu card. The guy really called up and was having tough time with someone on other end - While I simply hearing him talk sitting on next table : couldnt stop laughing. while the guy was explaining his wife that may its SMS to wrong number !!! Nokia users are REALLY DUMB.

@Zak Good to see another Melburnian in the BlueJackin' business!

Any "hotspots" might be worth checkin' out?

@All Have had a great read!!

Congrats to Ajack for kicking this off.

Anyone had any Blue Jacking luck with a PC?

I've got a 100m range Belkin Bluetooth Adaptor on my Notebook PC, curious as to whether this might let me cast a wider net for Brick victims...

I made first(couple) jack. It was at a festival, where much planes were shown. The point: First, I realized that many people around me and thought that they must have on their phones. I made a search, then I found two 6310i. I sent them both a contact with the text, 'Nice planes, huh?'. I only saw one reaction. He watched his Fukia's screen with a very confused face. Then I sent things to other people. Like 'I see you', or 'You've just been blujacked'. Next I noticed a 3650 in a young boy's hand. I made a photo of him, then I sent it via . It was nice to see the reaction. He watched the place, where the photo was taken, very courius. Then I saw a Very Important Person. I think, cuz he was in a black suit(in 35degrees), and soldiers patrolled him. Then I looked at his hand and there was a 6310i! I didn't send anything, cuz I was frightened, what if someone discovers me, and I get into trouble. Then I realized that noone/nothing can find me, and made a contact:'Nice suit.'. But when I sent it, he was out of range and the Connection failed. It was a great chance, but I screwed it up...maybe next time. I made other contacts, like 'It's time', but I couldn't send it cuz I didn't find any more devices.
jack is funny.

When I read all these stories, I want Bluetooth so bad!!! Wish SE came up with an accessory that gives non-Bluetooth phones (such as my T300) the Bluetooth feature… This must be technically possible, isn't it? *dreams on*

I was out in my home town last night having a few drinks....I seen this guy sitting down with a nokia phone in his hand....i wasnt sure which one it was but i thought i might as well search for a bluetooth device...to my surprise i found it! straight away i sent a contact to his phone saying "buy sony ericsson"...his face looked amazed! He was puzzled..moments later i sent him another one saying "u can smile"...about 3 mins after this he left!

Big Up Blue Jacking!

Hey Boy Blue.. Good to hear mate.. Did a discover in Harvey Norman Moorabbin yesterday but found nothing suprisingly.. Maybe Ill have more luck later at Southland..

Posted by gabt610
nice stories guys! ill try it too and post what happens =D

Posted by Aussie Blue Boy
@ Zak: thought Harvey Norman wd b gd too!(?)

Tried Clarendon St. this morning in a caf - no joy, didn't have time to do the Blokia Shop like I was hopin' to...

Wound up in a satellite 'burb (blv it or not - because of work "I get around...")
Scanned the local Optus shop from outside, no joy -then thght I'd go in, ask about SE's etc.
Met a great guy (staff) who just happens to post here!!
He gd insights into SE's etc.
We compared a shot I took in Palm Cove (Qld) last week that I beamed to his P800 and an out of the box T610 and my T68!

Believe it or not - same pic on 3 x SE's side by side!
Guess which one won?

Then one of his customers came in excited by his "nokia-tooth" headset on his 3610... while he was talkin' did a quick scan and...
GOT HIM !!
with 'Buy Sony Ericsson' ("got no cherry no mo' ").

Zak other Melb. sites... Collins St., Toorak Rd., Casino, Telstra Shops...????

WHADDYA RECKON?

@ JohnM ; Yeh they do know they get Bjacked in there cuz I was playin with a p800 and a guy went over to the prinet and found a bout 20 print offs from where Sman had been sending contacts, he was looking round to see who it was and saw me playing on their p800, he had his customer service hat on though and was like it's kool, print off as much as you want! They must get hit quite badly in there though.

I think they would get annoyed if we put Sman on though, and to top it off install "screenlock" so they wouldn't know how to unlock the phone with the jog dial commands, might even think it was off apart from the flashin lights.

Also Ajack, about Sman, it did seems to crash whilst I was in the store quite a few times, wether it was due to the printer or some other phone I'm not sure... Have you come accross this?

Posted by supraking
ive been reading this for a while and finally got rid of my t300 in exchange for a T610 i think ill have to go in town and try this out, ill nip round all the phone shops first i think.

Posted by Zak248313

Can anyone tell, how Fukias recieve the contacts, cuz my S55 gets this: 'sony ericsson, buy', when I want to send 'buy sony ericsson'.
When I had my jacks, found a T610. How is that possible? I thought that se phones are only for 3 minutes discoverable and I don't think he/she jacked too, cuz here in hungary nooene knows what is.

Posted by DarthBart
For T610, the phone is visible for as long as you set it

I was just waiting 4 a bus and found sum1 it sed "unknown" but when i tried sending it wouldnt connect i have a t610 and after i could still see it. Wot went wrong

When you discover a T610 and send it a dirty Screensaver or a soppy post it note

Posted by slamEVIL
i found that the movies on friday nights are the best time. i found a couple of nokias but got out of range before i could send.

so today i did something really really naughty. i went to fry's electronics, which is a huge store that sells tvs, appliences, car steroes, computers, everything. the computer section alone is bigger than some stores. so i did a little search and jackpot! my t616's screen was full of victums. palms, clies, computers, so i sent the usual contacts. then i used my wap and went to a porn site, found a real raunchy picture, saved it and sent it to a powerbook! i came back like 45 minutes later and it was still there on the screen! HA! HA! what i really want to find is a bt printer set up and have it print out a few and leave them behind.

something else that would have been really cool to do but i didn't think of it until i got home was to connect to the powerbook via bt and use my phone as a modem. then go to a porn site and download a bunch of hi res photos and set as wallpaper and sluff. that could be a form of bluejacking.

Yes u could have done that but i think the porn thing is going too far wot if a kid saw the pic? And how do the pass keys work

Posted by Zak248313
Just a quick question..

Is this the quickest and best way to BJ?

Discover devices in your Bluetooth section first "then" when you do find someone, exit the BT section and > go into your Phonebook > Manage Contact > Send contact > Via Bluetooth

Whats the best way to BlueJack someone? What are the quickest menu steps to discover and send a vcard? Can someone run me through it?

thanx dude......but the award does really go to ajack

@Zak248313: suggest u pre-create a number of really freaky contacts and save them in your handset.....i normally start the name field with *...that way, all your contacts can be seen easily.....as and when i wanna jack, i'll simply scroll to the contact name, press option....select send via BT and the phone will search automatically...the target list will be displayed and all u need to do is press ok....it's much faster that way.....give it a go......cheers!!

Posted by Zak248313
OK, So your saying if Im walking thru a shopping centre dont discover through the bluetooth menu at all.. Just keep trying to send a contact to a Bluetooth Device (From your PhoneBook section of your menu) and it searches that way?

Also, Some people here seem to be sending long messages while BlueJacking.. Do they do these over a series of VCARDS or is there a way to send more text. When your adding a contact that becomes your message you can only type 30 characters in the name section.

Whats the best way to get a lot of text into your message when BlueJacking?

Posted by cthulhu

Heheheh, I did this a while ago when I first got my P800. I went to the movies (one that was really crowded) and did a scan. I found 3 Nokias with BT enabled and decided to have some fun.

So I sent a contact saying "Wake up Neo". And the next person I sent "The Matrix Has U". And then the last one "Owned by P800!".

Bluejacking is great fun. I'm going to try it at the next international airport I'm at.

Ooh oo ooh ooooooo!
I'm so happy!!

@ Zak, shithappens & All:

I was right about my first pick - "Papershop Deli" - Clarendon St.

Went back today around 12:30, before I could even order coffee I had scanned and BINGO 2 x hits!!

In 15 mins I got 4 hits!

- "6310"
- "Phone"
- "Karl ..." yeah surname n all!!
- "Dave's 8910"

First two came up initially so picked 6310 and gave him...

"Virus installation detected......."
then
"Virus installed!" finally,

"Deleting Phone Records....."

Couldn't really see... cafe was full, then finally a guy got up with his mate to leave- kept looking at his phone n showing his mate.

Perplexed look on him

Then went after "phone" but got "Karl" instead.

Very happy right about now, 10 mins - 3 finds!

Karl copped the first msg (same as above) then after I only got "Send failed"

Help me you Veterans 'shithappens' et al.... does this mean he simply chose to reject incoming card or he was off the air (or either).

Then found "Dave's8910" - tried a send but got "no devices".

In ref to yr last 2 posts Zak- I had actually been trying both methods and still don't quite get it.

'Dave's8910' & 'phone' kept comin n goin!?!

When I could discover them through BT menu I actually couldn't 'see' them when I went to send the card. *#@!

No disrespect 'shithappens' but in this case if I'd only tried searchin by the 'send card' method I wouldn't have found these guys!!
I tried both ways for 30 mins.

Sorry bout length of post but finally, I suspect these guys weren't even in the cafe but maybe in the bank next door!! or behind or somethin', movin around a lot.

So Zak...go for it - think of it as a hotspot! But I'd only try at lunch time - get in early get a good seat in the middle (I was stuck at back)
and lose that cherry!!!!

P.S. re long stuff- A. better to drag em out B. in this thread - "print" an unsent SMS (if you have BT PC try on it first -open with notepad, looks real cool)

Tonight I can sleep with smile on face...

Posted by Zak248313
LOL Blue. Good to hear mate.. Where exactly is the papershop deli? I just work around the corner on City Road..

So you reckon that you should Discover thru BT first then go to Send Contact once youve found someone?

Posted by Aussie Blue Boy
G'day Zak just noticed you on line so scrolled down got yr last post!

Yeah 'shithappens' method IS quickest but my experience today I def wldn't have found those other 2 guys.

City Rd, huh? You lucky shit! I live 35km away, but travel all over, so S.M. not bad rest spot for me. Papershop Deli next to National Bank, opposite Coles!

Tried Blokia Shop too, all asleep in there...

If those other guys are workin near the Deli then you can keep tryin to ping em ANYtime!! :D

Send me yr mobile on PM, maybe we hook up...

Posted by Zak248313
No worries Blue.. I know where that is..

Can anyone help me with this..??

Nice trick, can't belive i only just found it!

Gives me somet to do at Picadilly (Manchester) train station today!

Also at work all the (now discontinued according to OBCR! ) 7650's and P800's are paired with my PC or works Laptop (they were used to set up), so some fun could be done

And as for the device iding as "Phone" my T68i always picks up Apple Powerbooks as phone, where as my Laptop and PC (and Fukia 7650's) pick it up as "[CompanyName]'s Computer"
