i was having a holiday back in my hometown..staying at the hotel..had gotten a new ibook earllier which was outfitted with a bt adapter.so to pair my ibook with my r520 i had to discover it after the search was over,discovered a 7650 n my r520..,..so proceeded to send pictures over..bluejacking with an ibook..thats` a first... =)

i belive you can send notes to nokia phones although ive never tried it but ive successfully printed messeges out of my unsent messages box to phones before !

visibility? urm i guess your on about the discoverable mode !
u can only be discovered for 3 minuits before bluetooth turns off but u can put it on permanantly but only paired devices can discover you, so ive been told, hope that helps ya mate !

I have a T610 and as far as I can tell there's no time limit on how long you're visible (discoverable) for, when you turn BTooth on it stays on. Sadly I haven't managed to bluejack anyone :-( discovered a few Sukia 7650s but no joy :-( most people in Newcastle have non-btooth Sukias (when will they wake up?) Here's hoping Sukia signs a shirt sponsorship deal with Sunderland :-D

yup not many people here have got bluetooth phones but keep searching mate cos ive bluejacked a few people now and i thought i would never be able to cos its only a small place, i have a t68i and i can only be discoverable for 3 mins
but i can turn it on permanantly but only paired devices can find me, anyway im off to my local pub soon and ill be searching on the sly !

it was a nokia 3650 so i sent

then he turned his phone off after 5 messages ha ha, all of these were sent as notes, for all i know it could be the bloke right infront of me

ok, ok, I couldn't resist this morning at Gatwick in the BA lounge...
Found three! 6310i phones. 1 had Johns 6310i, another had Peters 6310i and the other just said Nokia 6310i
I customised my message to include the name of the person I was sending to for the first two and just sent the general "Buy SonyEricsson" to the 3rd.
NOW I see the attraction to this 'sport'! Think I am hooked!

Go to 'connectivity' and then select 'Bluetooth'. Now select ' My Devices' and the phone will now search for any bluetooth devices within range...

@Kucibubu : Ok I'll walk you through this one...
Once you've clicked on 'My Devices' now just select 'New Device'. As I said the phone will now search for and bluetooth devices which are 'visable' in the surrounding area. If there are any within range they will be displayed on the screen, you can then select to send data to them.
I haven't managed to 'Bluejack' anyone on the T610 yet, but on the the T68 to send messages to people you had to create a business card and send that...

i've tried sending t68i notes to my friend's 3650. it gets through but it displays misc. infos such as headers as well.

I wanted to make a Bluejack application using Mophun (since it can access Bluetooth) but there doesn't seem to be a way to crack the Mophun certification which is needed to run the program on the phone. Here's the thread...

Your Business card is called 'My card' under Phone book - Manage contacts.
You can then edit your own details.

Doesn't the T610 have a "file browser" of sorts that allows you to look around and download files from the phone you're bluejacking?
Or does the other party have to authorise it?
Because if it's just a one-way thing, imagine the amount of terrorisation that could be caused having access to your victim's files...

unsuccessfull BJack yesterday went to see fast and furios 2 yesterday and not 1 person in the cinema halls in soluhull had bluetooth. the only thing i could bluejack is the printer in the T-mobile shop it now has a pic of myt friend sitting on it lol

Didn't find the printer but did successfully bluejack a phone known only as 'makam tall paul' at Bar M in Newcastle upon Tyne, England! Sent the contact 'AreYouNormal?' tried to send more (HowsLif eInThe1sTDiv?) But it failed :-( Still one more to chalk up :-D
