Where did you get your MP3s from? The W810i plays AACs fine, though it can't play protected (DRM) files. If your MP3/AACs were bought from somewhere like iTunes they may not play on your phone.

Is your phone branded to a carrier? ie: Vodafone, AT&T, Rogers etc.? Cuz some carriers ban you from using and playing files like that.

The MP3 files that i used to convert are downloaded from internet and those files doesn't have any digital rights.I tried with 2,3 different files.I think the problem is with conversion.Can u suggest me any free tool to convert from mp3 to AAC and what are the parameters to set like sample rate, no of frames per second and so on?and my phone is not specific to any carrier.

@ramue:
welcome to Esato, mate!
just thought these might help:
to simplify my conversions, i use Audiograbber (v1.
i am also a proud owner of a "generic" W810i and i'm having a blast with my conversions. normally, aside from the converted mp3s from my conventional CDs, i also download mp3 online (Limewire, etc.) and i encounter no problems at all. i know very well that AAC is better than the mp3 format but i'm partial with the latter since its more reliable (read: such doesn't choose players - they simply load in your player and you get to enjoy them!).
here are my parameters: 128kbps minimum bit rate and 44khz sample rate. settings lower than these are already noticeable, aural quality-wise. well, others are even going beyond these settings (you could try).
Audacity can be downloaded from
enjoy your fone and the forum. goodluck and cheers!

@ramue:
i'm really sorry, mate. got things mixed up. have a lot of audio-related programs here, that's why
its actually Winamp that i'm talking about -- that could convert mp3 into AAC. they have the latest version (v5.5 - Anniversary Edition) now at nullsoft.com.
for the others who have read my wrong info, my apologies, please.
goodluck, ramue!
