Quick one line summary:
E90: Bigger inner screen, better keyboard(?), DVD quality video recording (actually not DVD but close: 640x480@30fps), but slower GPS and no touchscreen.

ive got both ,and switch between the two. At the moment i'm using the E90. I ever so slightly prefer the e90 because i prefer the os. But they're both great devices with pretty similar features.

What do you think to the size of the E90 in comparison to the kasier?

In pics it looks alot bigger...but ive not actually seen one in the flesh.

Nice pictures didn't realise the TYTN was fatter even if it is a little shorter than the E90. As i am getting close to breaking my cold turkey it was going to be between a E90 now they are readily available with UK warranty the Kaiser or a N95 8GB.

I ruled the N95 out as no qwerty and IMO is to expensive for what it is right now, and the TYTN also works out more so i think i will return to a E90 as i have missed it and as i now have an iPod for Music that covers the one weakness i felt the E90 had.

Also from looking at those pictures it reminded me i really wasn't that keen on the TYTN keys or screen and really don't need a Touchscreen so would rather have the bigger 16million colour screen of the E90 and IMO the better keyboard to.

well you lasted quite a long time. still think the E90 is a great choice,and hope your happy with it(if you decide to go back)

hi dogmann,

despite the TYTN II is fatter than e90, it's more pocketable though, well it doesn't really make much sense just giving my opinion

hope you get the latest batch of E90, as i have seen, it's reconstructed to make the screen and the keypad don't touch as hard as it could be and leave some greases on the screen, obviously, the edge on both sides will leave a slight gap in between, like a curve or whatever you call it, not very good with my english

According to GSMArena.com, the E90 is one millimetre fatter than the TyTN II: 132x57x20mm vs 112x59x19mm. And 20 grams heavier.

@jakontil

I never keep my devices in my pockets never have done and never will i always get a good quality leather case that attaches to my waist of either trousers or even track suit bottoms. In fact i have just purchased another Bugatti case for the E90 as had one for my last E90 and it really is a great quality case IMO. I would be very surprised if any of the new units now shipping after such a long delay still are the original E90's and not the new version.

@AbuBasim

Well that's not what it looks like in the picture above and to be honest when buying a device functionality is always more important than weight and size to me. I really am no longer a fan of Touchscreens and much prefer the screen and Keyboard on the E90 along with S60. Even the upcoming S60 Touchscreens don't tempt me yet which is why i have gone for the E90.

Marc,

Was also in a dilemma deciding between the E90 and the Tytn II. But coming off the 838 pro and being so used to Win Mobile and its vast arrays of freeware and hacks, I went with the Tytn. Anyway am also seriously considering the N95 8G for my camphone cum musicphone.
Whatever you decide i sfine coz both the e90 and the Tytn are awesome machines.

@MattJ

I really do think the TYTN is a great devices no two ways about it but as you are coming from a WM device obviously you are going to be more comfortable with that. In the same way i am now with S60 i also have all the software that i want or need ready to be installed so tweaking or hacking really isn't necessary for me. Also last time i bought a TYTN it didn't even last a week as i just didn't like it much.

Last time i had the E90 i was only disappointed by the Music player and had a N95 at the same time which i decided was overkill so sold both and returned to my E61 and bought a 80GB iPod. I know it still means two devices but IMO a dedicated Music player gives better results not to mention battery life and have now encoded all my Music @320kbps AAC. I have no intention of dumping my iPod especially as i got a VAJA case for it and got stung by customs i need to get my money's worth out of it. But i will now just use it for Music and move my Films, Podcasts and Video's to the E90 and it's larger screen.

hi drgopoos

1. the camera on TYTN II is a decent 3.2MP, but lacks of photo light, so E90 wins here, quality is about the same though, but TYTN II performs very poor in video recording, whereas E90 does a good job.

2. speaker phone, both are about the same high volume. but i feel that on E90, the sound kicks a little harder than TYTN II, though i don't mind it at all

3. sound quality of TYTN II and E90 perform on par, can't say much, but you won't miss a word, regardless which u using.

4. speed, there are times when TYTN II speeds up well, but as time goes by, a soft reset is necessary, and the initial speed is regained, whereas in E90, you don't actually need to soft-reset, but the more application you use, and the longer you use E90, the slower it became. though i do soft-reset, it wasn't much of any help.

5. music quality through speakers, i am much of a music man myself, but i don't use both as my music player, nothing much i can say, other than, TYTN II comes with a cheap after market headset, you'd need to buy one for yourself.

6. carrying around, i feel that TYTN II is compact, and more compact and pocketable than E90, weights a little lighter too. i don't feel comfortable putting E90 in my pocket, coz the body is longer, and it feels a little thicker somehow.

7. battery life, depending on your usage, for my case, i need a mobile that lasts me one full day full service! eg. making an hour or so calls, massive SMSs, an hour or so surfing the net. connecting to GPS sat is a bonus i have for having TYTN II in my pocket. both TYTN II and E90 performs well for battery life, trust me, there are many out there which just don't live up to the standard.

8. when i sold my E90 a couple of months ago, the GPS was afwul, i hardly get connected, and viewing GPS on a wide-flat screen like the E90, wasn't pleasant at all! the battery drains very quickly, much quicker than on TYTN II, using GPS on TYTN II is much better in almost every aspect.

@jakontil
THank you so much for your reply.
I have now firmly decided against E90. These questions were the only why i was holding on to E90. For me PDA funtions and desktop cutomisation is very important.
In e90 i miss the ability to view the list of appointments over the next few day on the desktop.
Lack of calling card application
calender is awful for my use
Certain applications that i use for stocks and weather is not yet avilable in the market now( ones that are at present is very basic.)
cant sync outlook emails with the phone.
cant use endnote sync
and so on.......

So i will stick on the infamous windows mobile and looking forward to ipaq610c to come in FEB or may be TYTN II
