Hi guys
kinda forgot lost my username so had to reregister :-s
Anyway, I upgraded to the Viewty from my k800 few weeks back. Absolutely love it!
One thing though, any photos I take seem to be blurred. I tinkered about with the settings but doesnt really help. Anyone got any tips? Is there something I'm missing?
Any help would be great.

Have you tried the image stabilizer?

Yip it should work!! I'm using a sandisk 2GB SD with no problems
As for blurry pics... First try wiping the lense make sure it's clean.. makes a huge difference!
And second... I noticed some of my pics look a little blurry on the phone but look great on my pc... Must be something to do with tthe res over the display!

Word of caution don't try and upgrade to google maps on the phone as it won't work and render the application less than useless.

Sorry John there is not a theme editor available so there are no new themes... I'm not even sure it supports downloadable themes anyway?

Only way to upgrade software at the mo is though lg-apparently it's to reduce risk of user error and stop anyone crackin there software code for unlockin!

Anyone know what the maximum size memory card the Viewty will accept is? My friend owns a Verizon branded Voyager that uses an 8gb card, so I would assume that the Viewty would also be able to...

I've read that 2GB is the maximum but you can put bigger ones in but it'll only read the first 2GB? I haven't tried my self but that's what i read.

yes but its not quite the same thing, the menus wont change etc..

still i dont believe its not possible. all you have to do is compile a theme the same as the ones it already has, and find a way to put them in the theme folder on the phone..

They're extremely different and caters different audience but:
W960 anydays imho. KGU990 is just a fashion cam fone and i am not satisfied with the cam as well as either the K850 or N95(i-mobile 902 camera rules them in any days btw
). W960 is a smartphone and with it's OS we can install better Symbian or Palm apps(once styletap for UIQ is already released next year) unlike KU990

i have had the viewty a few days now and its great. few issues here and there but nothing a firmware release wont resolve. the video is fantastic!! the photos are good. its 5mp not a 7-8 on a real camera so dont expect to see those sort of images. if you want better then you probably already have a good digi cam in which case you dont need an amazing one on a phone!

yea i know that the ku990 has a better camera but i dont care that much .. ( although the video is fantastic ) .. but i think i wont go for the ku990 as i see in gsmarena that i cant change the equalizer .. and the mp3 is must for me as i dont have a one and depend on the phone in liesting music

I'm using the same Sony headphones that you get with walkman phones with mine and i'm extremely happy with the mp3 player!
I don't really see the need for an equalizer even thught it would of been nice to have one.

i'm really tempted by this phone, will i be disappointed with it having used the p series since the p800? im not to impressed with the P1 and there is nothing else i want and im getting bored of my p990! im due an upgrade so can have whatever i want.

got my Viewity on saturday
been playing about with the camera on it, iso100 seems to get the best shots ( i have very unsteady hand) ... but i cant get the flash to work with iso 100
the autofocus will take a bit of getting used to...
the calculator works B-E-A-UTIFULLY!
all the buttons are nice and large... easy to use
it seems the handwriting detect-a-ma-jig is quite good, but my h's come out as m's

(shhh it was riddled with bugs)
great little phone. texting is alot easier. i can use music and web at the same time....maybe something to do with SW version?
