ok where do i start! hax a k850 for a few days and was really disappointed-so today i swapped it for the new LG and wow, what a peach! it have to say this tbing is a true iphone killer and is a must for gadget freaks everywhere! hsdpa flys through the net along with a touch screen control that puts the htc touch tp shame {which i also own}! if you get chance pop into a store and try it out and you`ll be gob smacked i promise!

Hi all,
Well having only recently became fully aware of all the services 3 offer i have been looking at a really good deal for one of these on 3 may be worth checking out if this is the phone your after. I must say there is something about the Viewty that does appeal to me it really does look like a well built fully featured and good looking device.

It's ok, but highly impractical. I've spent a week trying to use it here and there, as has my friend who bought it (she put it on ebay within 48 hours, what does that tell you?), and I can't get on with it.
As a camera, its good but slow compared to a real digital camera like it's trying to be, as a phone it's just like the prada but you can have a landscape text entry mode with a full QWERTY keyboard, but it's still unresponsive and crashes.

I just rang orange and i can have one of these for £30 as an upgrade on my account... Hmmm... I've used the Prada before(my wife has one) and i didn't think it was that bad except for texting... But they seem to have fixed that with the Viewty. Now i was all for getting a TytnII but they wanted £90 for that
and i think it's a little too much for my needs.
So can anyone convince me either way on this?

I had one for a couple of days and sent it back.
It seemed pretty good in a lot of ways but just felt too gimmicky in the end. The touchscreen worked pretty well and the camera was fine, the video camera especially.
The worst feature is probably the most used one and seemingly quite straight forward - the contacts. I found this very annoying, scrolling through the contacts was fiddly to say the least and searching by typing was really bad. This is something I really like in SEs.
Anyway that was what decided it for me, I wasn't convinced anyway but with such a basic feature being quite annoying was the final straw.

Hmmm... I don't know what to do? I have a 8600 Luna as my only ophone at the moment but the camera sucks on it... I really like the look of the Viewty and i've read the contacts have been improved over the prada which i had no trouble with anyway?
My main worry now is orange branding!? The prada has none... And i know i could debrand the HTC myself... But i couldn't unbrand the Viewty if i had to... And orange branding can be terrible...
Do i just say sod it and get a k850...

I got my viewty yesterday and it is AWESOME!
I returned my p1i because it kept resetting itself "to improve performance" and being on t-mobile web and walk, I really needd HSDPA and couldn't really do without it!
The viewty is a really cool phone, the touch screen works brilliantly (I was never a fan of pure touchscreen phones and always needed a keypad), the haptic feedback is amazing, and overall its a well put together phone. Before I would only buy Nokia, HTC and SE, but this has changed me!
The camera is very good, and the viedo is the best I have seen on a phone - even better than the N95. The 120 fps slow motion is a cool (albeit useless) feature!
It's only down point I found was that the stylus is comes with hangs off of a dongle which you attach to the phone. This dooesn't affect me as the touch screen is good enough to use just your fingers with. It also doesn't have wi-fi - but my home broadband is 2 megs, and I get a good HSDPA signal at hom anyway!

You cannot flash a K750i to a W800i using SEUS! You will need a credit on Wotanserver or Multiserver, whichever one you choose.

just got a viewty on orange free upgrade from a k800, was tempted by the k850 but can be bothered to be a beta tester for se
had the phone 2 days and love it touch screen is fantastic and really responsive not as quick as a keypad but not far off.
the screen is great just put a divx movie onto it and it looks amazing
so far i can recomend this phone

I can confirm that there is a big orange logo just under the display. Got mine yesterday. The software branding isn't too bad tho. Just one or two orange themes and a couple of links here and there. Mine's going back on monday though cos the flash isn't working. Gonna get it replaced.

the themes are standard as said above apart from one orange one, the icons on the orange own theme arent bad at all.
the more i use it the more i like it cam decent but not as good as you might expect with all the features but i ve not had a big play with that.
put an episode of american dad on it and it looks fantastic first phone i d actually consider watching a movie on whilst on the move.
