Cheers dude!

Posted by razec
The thread is revived! thanks Oli

And yeah your concept, that's one great loking phone. the colors are very sporty in my eyes, and what i love more was by seeing that desktop style web page rendering you incorporate!

Posted by clauf
Heehee I haven't seen a photoshop concept for ages. Hopefully everyone else will continue this.

Oli: is that touch or Z770 style keypad?

Hi everyone! You're not going to get the 'best photoshopper' award at the Esato Awards with that effort!

VERY COOL design! That is probably the UIQ I've wanted some time ago ... but alas it'll never come, not from that I'm sure of (still TriBand GSM, No Triband 3G, WiFi finally but blaze design). Oli you're design is fantastic.

Posted by breccia
Muhammad-Oli can i ask you which program you have used? I want to make my last one concept whit that program

Posted by xell
Will post my new mockup here again once it reached Esato.

Posted by xell
One and a half hour. Not that bad.

Here it is:

No concept. The real thing (almost).

Posted by gola
Thanks a lot razec, i'll be sure to give them a try

Nice photoshop indeed oli

Wow thanks guys! Razec, Prom1, Gola, Tob!s, your compliments are greatly appreciated! Lets keep it going now eh? This thread has been dead for a while!

@clauf: The numeric keypad would be like the Z770, but the call and shortcut keys around the d-pad would be touch keys, presumably similar to the ones that Paris has.

@breccia: I have just used Photoshop here mate.

Soon I will probably design the back of this one, and I will include a spec list with it. Cheers guys.

@Xell: That looks cool mate, despite its rather low-end specs. Can't wait for this one to come out!

@Muhammad-Oli

Very well done. The C902 Photoshop looks exciting. Now most of the 2008 offerings look nice design-wise, but not exciting, just pleasing to look at / use. Now, your effort brings that precious something to the handset.

Keep it up!

As I did F305 I had a concept in mind of a bigger sister of it based on W760. This is F705, no parts borrowed (only the call/end symbols):

Posted by Muhammad-Oli
@Xell: Thats really awesome dude. Good that you're making it from scratch to, it looks very realistic.

And I like that you made the specs realistic too. It seems to me like something SE would actually make!

Posted by xell
I wouldn't mind they do!

Cheers

Posted by adsa
@gondof: very nice

Posted by happy08
r those fone real or fake?

Posted by Muhammad-Oli
Fake dude. Photoshops are fake.

Posted by razec
@xell, that F705 looks very cool man

Posted by clauf
The shape of your phone xell is really nice. It's also nice to see that the shape of the phone will fit well in a gamers hand, especially the curve at the bottom.

=D

Posted by sunils120
nice work xellar. glad to know u dont borrow the parts!

Posted by xell
Thanks guys. Glad you like it.

Posted by domipost
WOW, your F705 is great!! I'd love it if it came out!

Better than W760i, though that's a great phone 2

I dont get it....how come unprofessional people like those here in esato create such wonderful design and UI where as is taking years for SE to come up with a cool UI like these.

Wierd heh ?

Posted by mobse
@hydro-
Beautiful design, nice set of features and the name to go with it.
Aesthetically impressive, wonder whether it would be technically feasible, though.

A remarkable effort indeed.

Cheers!

Posted by Muhammad-Oli
Fairly self-explanatory I think:

I believe many people would prefer a candybar form C905, so I designed one. Besides the C905 specs, it adds stereo speakers.

Posted by razec
^^Beautiful Oli... i missed the K750/k550 back design in SE with K850, but now SE have heard my wish and made the C905 inheriting the back-design philosophy of K750/K550

Posted by Muhammad-Oli
Thanks very much Razec! Yeah I think got it so right with the C905, but I'd still prefer a candybar.

On a side-note, does anybody know how to make an image that doesn't get dulled out as soon as you upload it to the internet? All my pictures go very dull. For example, the greens of the logo are meant to be vivid green, and that's how they look on the original file...

Posted by sunils120
@Muhammad Oli
Looks amazingly realistic, Nice design !
but i'd prefer to have the k750,w800 kinda lens instead of k850 one.

Thanks Sunils120! Yes I know, I only used the K850i lens because its the best looking lens picture I could find (C905 images are taken on the wrong angle). The camera features are the only parts I don't draw myself, and only because they are very complex and I don't have enough camera knowledge. So I try to edit existing camera parts to my liking.

Posted by Sony α
Hey all, on the topic of lenses, just thought i'd quickly mock up what I would have liked to see! (although for me the C905 is Perfect designwise)!

I'd like to have seen the lens shape inherited from the SO905iCS/Sony T Series - just preferred it!

Posted by Muhammad-Oli
@Sony α: I don't know whether or not I prefer that to the original C905 lens, as I don't have a problem with either design. What do you think is wrong with the C905's lens, if you don't mind me asking? Nice effort with the photoshop though!

I'd like to issue my second challenge to our Esato photoshopping elite:

The Sony Ericsson Photoshopped T610i Revival Concept Challenge

I would like to mention this was Goldenface's idea, so all credit to him!

And yes the title is long-winded.

First up: There is NO prize. There will be NO winners. Let's just get that straight.

This is a challenge to see what us photoshoppers can come up with here. The idea for this challenge came out of disappointment caused by recently leaked images of a yet to be announced phone, which appears to be an attempt at a T610i revival:

All those that take up the challenge should design a Sony Ericsson T610i Revival concept and post it here in this thread. The naming of the phone is up to you. It may be a T610i Classic (though you may wish to steer clear of Nokia-esque naming conventions), a T610i Revival, a T610i Homage, a T620i, or whatever you wish!
- The design therefore must be a candybar phone with a similar styling scheme to that of the original T610i.
- All specification is up to you, and you should include a list of specification with your entry.
- Bear in mind that the T610i was a pioneering phone in the mobile phone world, and in its day was considered a very high-end phone. Your entry should reflect this, but with a more modern approach. This means it should include high-end specs.
- The T610i is regarded as an classic, so your design should be respectful to the original's design philosophies.

Any Esato member can have a go at it. Nobody will insult anyone who makes an attempt. Once again, there is no winner... So any competition between members is only friendly.

Please try to keep your designs mostly your own. So, not too much borrowing from real phones, though a little bit of borrowing is acceptable. For example, you might like to borrow a few buttons or a camera lens, or perhaps even a texture from the original T610i. If you wish to use a lot of cutting and pasting of features from current phones, you should edit them beyond easy recognition.

This challenge could equally be taken as a T650i update, if you wish to. It should still reflect the T610i though, just as the T650i attempts to.

The point of the challenge is solely out of interest for what our designers might come up with. If you are interested in giving it a go, let everyone here know and then get to work! I look forward to seeing what our talented Esato photoshoppers will come up with.

I will quickly mention that the first challenge is still open, if anyone would like to contribute to that one. You will find it about halfway down the page in this link:
The Sony Ericsson Photoshopped Z850i Concept Challenge
Of course with the new naming conventions, you may like to call it something different, for example, Z906 or C906.

Cheers,
Oli.

Ha Haaaa, great stuff. I can't wait to see what our talented photoshoppers come up with for this one.

I wish I was good at Photoshop, I'd give youse all a run for your money.

Posted by Sony α
@Oli

Great Idea by GoldenFace!!

Well the C905's lens shape - nothing wrong with it lol - I just prefer the Shape of the SO905iCS/T Series lens lol!

Haha, I've been using Adobe products for a long while, lets see what we can all come up with, as a Homage to the GREAT T610!

Posted by goldenface
@Sony α

It'll be interesting to see everyone's interpretation of what a new T610 will look like. I'm itching to have a go myself, I'll just have to get hold of a copy of PS, I've been meaning to do for a while now.

Posted by Sony α
@GoldenFace

I agree, after all - it is the epitome of design lol - my Design Tutors back in London still use the T610, and swear by it - up to and including the design!

I still have my Volcanic Red T610...Who else still has their T610's?

Posted by jack00
its not photoshop
- old scrible i did, with the T610 in mind

Here's my T610 successor. It's very similar to the original, but this is the phone I'd like to have

nice looking phone, very classic and yet so actual

congrats bider!

Posted by xell
Very cool one! Starting my attempt now with a lil' bit of alcohol in my blood... just came back from a birthday party...

Posted by xell
OK, here it is.

I tried to be close to the original with some tweaks like the new flat keypad and the metal applications at the earpiece and dpad area.

edit: Esato's compression ruined the picture, linked to external host.

Impressive! I like the rendering

@Oli and Goldenface:
Nice idea there buds seems like i have to make a comeback here after a long long silence

Posted by Muhammad-Oli
Woo! Some nice ones here so far! Looking good Xell and Bider! @Jack00: Not quite as I expected, but that's a very nice sketch. I like your product design drawing style.

I will begin work on mine when I have time tonight. Razec, I'm looking forward to seeing something from you!

@Xell

Just superb!
Smooth styling, nicely spaced softkeys (come on SE how hard is that?) but the numberpad is the best part IMO - functional, stylish, simple.

SE should build that, I would buy it and I'm sure others would too.

Posted by clauf
Looking great. So many concepts all of a sudden it's overwhelming (in a good way =D).

Posted by sunils120
@Xell
good work buddy.
I just lost my touch in ps due to so long gap but still i wanna give it a try.
