Some how I get the feeling that the long awaited P5i will be called the X2; just some gut feeling not sure why.

a protoype of my revived k860

Will update the pics soon

I had some spare time, anybody like the violet color variant

Very interesting Nav Pad solution Not_Me, though I wouold prefer larger up down keys (since the left right keys seem really big) and a nav circle. Would like to see the back to =) But I really like it =) Something fresh =D

Would be nice to see some walkman branding on it. it just looks like a walkman type of phone to me =P

@not_me: That looks really awesome. At last something a bit fresher in this thread

The only thing I would change is the speaker, but thats personal choice of course! It's looking good man!

@pavlog:

nice one bud, the brushed metal is always better than a sleek and smooth looking but cheap finish just change the keys to a rugged looking one

Posted by pavlov's_dog
yup will work on that. here's another render:

and also, i really love sealover's concept of the p5i, here's my very poor paintshop version detailing the dual slide mechanism (sorry i'm too lazy to do it on PS):

Posted by chombos1
amazing!!

but you made it to look bigger...
sealover's was smaller than this.

anyway.... very nice.

Posted by razec
The back portion is the negative thing for me pal tbh i hate K850's rear portion as it seems to have the worst looking camera style design among all the phones. i think P990 camera design fits this concept well

Posted by not_me
some facts :
w860i
- 2,6" 16M VGA TactileScreen
- 8GB internal memory
the bar in the middle is supposed to have some tactile scrolling function hence the dots, but functions as well as physical buttons where the arrows are and the bigger dot in the middle, all physical buttons except the call and reject ones are completly flat, similar in size to w910
ps : i know the call and reject buttons are exchanged

Posted by nneo
just a question:
is there going to be a P5i anyway?
as much as the Xperia looks good and productive it runs on a windows mobile Os that i dont really like i liked the other touch phones UIs better (SE's ones that were introduced at the same time)
so is there going to be a P5i and will it run a different OS??

Posted by laurenke01
Eventually, yes. Haven't you been following all the discussion?

good walkman buddy!

P2

Posted by mobse
@ not_me

remarkable efforts. they emanate style and user friendliness, the only threat being a slight lack of space between the buttons.

Keep it up!

Cheers!

So that means its close to P5i actual design eh PK boy?

Posted by not_me
thanks, for your kind comments
@mobse : I don't think the buttons will be too small/close, they are about the same size/distance from each other as on T650i.

P2i [Silk Brown]

Piss off dude. You haven't been around long enough to know PK has EARNED his respect.

@not_me: I am loving these new ones! They are so clean and beautiful!

Posted by mobse
the back of the P2 is very intelligently done. It is simple and stylish complementing the front in a clever way indeed.

Way to go not_me!

Congrats!

The blur is too much. just tune the blur a little bit down. then you will have almost perfect spypic

Thanks,
the first design [see picture of the black version] didn't have any seperate light sensor and front camera, which were supposed to be placed in the holes, when I changed that, I left the holes as I didn't thought it was disturbing. In the latest version I changed that and put some buttons in, and lightened the texture in the middle "hole" so it doesn't look so much like a simple hole anymore when viewed at full resolution.

I don't know wether the site allows hotlinking, so you might have to visit the forum first before you can view the pic !!

Well compared to certain other fake spypics the blur affect on this one is really decent !

Very nice job!

All your designs are interesting! The scrolling sensors in the w860 are very smart!!! You should although change the specifications (8Gb when iphone2 and nokia new phones will have 16GB ((and more in the future) is not enough). I was desappointed to learn that X1 won't have a big internal memory. I was waiting for at least 8GB.

Your P2 is very cute (particurlarly the silk brown version). I like the 3 holes. They make its design very original.
I agree with the other guys your buttons are too close in relation with their pictogramms.

im sorry for sounding rude, but i dont like the back side, im being honest, but its just my opinion, so others might disagree! the front looks very awesome! but if you would let the camera control signs inside and the others outside, it should be better!

I know that you've seen a lot of P5i concepts, but what do you think about this one?

Posted by not_me
@bider
the spypics are well done, but one sees directly that the qwerty keypad is from x1 and the D-pad and softkeys (personnally don't like those) from g900.
great photoshop how about a non spypic version

Posted by bider
Here goes non spypic version. Hope you like it.
