It really works. But you have to work hard to beat 12000 line. It is really tough. After that you get to 12500 line easier than you stuck again.
Because powerball mainly built up your finger, wrist and forearm muscles. If you support this working with dumble you achive high rpm easily.
I have to warn you. Don't try to beat 10000 rpm in your first couple of weeeks. Because it can cause muscle aches. Than you have to give a break about 3-4 days to get over it. So try not to push your limits for couple of weeks. After you can push as hard as you can to build muscle

@Burgaz I think you are getting a 250Hz one which is heavier than the usual one.
I think record for that one was around 13000 something

Got one of these about 6 months back. It is very hard to get over the 12000 mark, and after your arms hurt like hell.

Here is the last pic that I took with my P900. This was for the website of Turkish Hall-of-fame. After I hit 12528 my sister managed to reset it so I gave up for a month.

Got my powerball today! It's crazy how effective something so simple can be! After a couple of goes my high score is 10169 with my right hand and about 8300 with my left lol! I'm gonna get some practice in over the weekend but it really works! You can feel it all up your arm!

Mines the strength ball, It's made by the science museum people and the record on this one is around 10.000 RPM mark. I guess the spindle is a different diameter or something to make it turn slower. Here's some photos.

It is too good for a started.
Try not to push that hard. If you continue you will start to fell a pain at your wrist. And probably it will last about a week. Than you will not be able to play with you ball for a week
Try to be stick around 8000-9000rpm. After a week you will get used to it. Than you can push as hard as you can. After that you hardly feel any pain.

I must say as a musician I find the powerball at low revs really relaxing! But at my highest score (submitted a few years ago) is 13,747. I'm on the 2nd devision ranking 250 place.
I've recently bought the signature edition and I'm back in the game, gotta love the crazy white neon lights!
Try getting it going at a steady 9,000rpm with the ball directly in front of you for 30 secs.
What are all your averages on a 30 sec run?
