I think i have a solution for blurry pictures taken witk k550i phones
Keep in mind that this method works for me doesnt mean that it will work for you. Use it at your own risk...
in the first page of this topic;
II) AutoFocus
2.1) A question wuth Infinity focus. It have different values on different phones. so, open the camdriver0.dat, find INFINITY_FOCUS = 00;
and change 00 to any other numbers, from 00 to 07. Choose the best value of infinity focus. For example, on my phone best value is 04.
i use every number from 00 to 07, it always gets worse and with 00 my photos are blurry so i take the risk of bricking the phone and use negative numbers.
INFINITY_FOCUS = -1; to INFINITY_FOCUS = -10;
and with -10 k550i gets PERFECT FOCUS
This works for every driver out there.

I have kept my infinity focus to 04 coz w610i and k550i are similar. One thing I have noticed is that when we click a snap its photo quality is good, but after zooming it starts getting pixelirated.

k550i have problem with infinite focus, because stop on macro and all macro pics are great but infinite no...
btw. tried this camdriver and changed focus from 00 to 07, and from -1 to -30, but on sisters phone still blurry photos, with mini super mode and manual focus is little better, pics are good if object is 2m from phone...

hey exbite, are u using 23.41. And pls let me know what changes have u made in ur cam driver like the infinity focus. Ur snaps are very clear. My w610i cant reach that limit. In nigt mode the snaps come noisy and lacks sharpness. ARe the camera different in k550i and w610i.

Ok, here you have comparison between 2.3 standard camdriver (thank you Koval for photos), and MHQ 23.41 camdriver (my photos). I (and my pal) take photos in ZOO (in Lodz , Poland). Good weather = good photos from K550i.

(Please download whole album from picasa and look close or use "full size" tool. Photographs from afar may look the same. )
Some pictures are blur but not because 2.3 or 23.41 is bad, but are shaked (i don't know how discribe this in english
).
In 23.41 camdriver contrast, colors, sharpness mostly are better then in 2.3 (but not always).
I did 50% of photos, my buddy, another 50%. Maybe i make better photos? I don't know. Maybe this is merit a better camdriver...
What you think about this?
(I still wait to manual focus and manual shutter speed. Tell something SonarikK510!

Camera unit of both models should be the same but i'm not sure. Never played with a 610...
I just add the line (if not already exist)
INFINITY_FOCUS = -10;
Now i use MHQ 23.41 but like i said it works for every driver i tried (and i tried many of them). Hope this helps.

When i set value "-10" or something with "-" camera (only in video mode) turn off.
Best value for my phone is "00"

Dear all,
I updated my k550i camera driver and language pack whick I downloaded from http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=157459&start=0
after updating the language pack with the file "EN.LNG" to the following location "TPA/PRESET/SYSTEM/LANGUAGE", my phones language has completely changed.
I can see only alphanumeric numbers, like F255:245, Fe55:240 and so on..
can anyone give me the default language pack..

i am reverting back to 2.39. its live colour is better. night mode and text mode need to be fixed. i might copy 23.41 codes to 2.39

HI all. I have tried to combine 2.39 and 23.41. I just copied values. And therer was a diffference. I am uploading my cam driver. PLs have a look and give opinions. Uptill now the only problem i have found is no live colour in night mode for snaps. Now that can be bearable by us. The link to the cam driver is

I guess the MHQ 2.39 Final (A) is best so far...tried all the settings & all the adj with all the drivers uploaded after it eg: MHQ S1, MHQ 23.41 etc...unless & until the light is good none of them seem to work that good..Also the live colors are too bright.
