What network SE uses for Japanese phones? I think it's CDMA EVDO-1X, right? Wonder if somebody out there can unlock au KDDI or DoCoMo's network to be used outside Japan...

SE makes phones for both AU KDDI (CDMA 2000 1x as well as CDMA EVDO) and NTT DoCoMo (WCDMA)
none of their phones could be unlocked, they've been trying for over 5 years and given up.
even when you can unlock them, you can only use 20-30% of the phone's potential: the digital TV, digital radio, electronic money, support for 5MB+ java games, AGPS with shops/restaurant/live traffic info, earthquate warnings, news headlines streaming at standby screen, call-ID plus call-intention (chaku-moji- incoming call attachment of flash message explaining why ur calling not just who u are), html mail, dual number (2in1) one USIM service will all mean nothing once you leave the country.

Walkmanphones is known and the emotional phone may be a low end(not sure), so i guess SE wont announce a smartphone on 6th november. But you can never be sure..

that would be good if somone with master math-skills could do, atleast i can't see any connection between the numbers ---> they isn't logical placed, what i mean is that for exaple cybershot phones got the numbers between 10800 - 10900 or that all camera oriented phones ends with 7 or something..

Gesture control is a way to play/pause/fwd/mute and d usual Walkman controls! Though even I have no clue whether it is supposed to work by shaking the phone a la the W580i or something else.

All i found out is that numbers of phone pairs announced at the same day are laying close to each other. So if anybody finds P3, Maria is probably close to it
And i looked all the numbers from 11379 till 11413 and nothing interesting was there

@beta-tester You forgot a W880iv with ID 10877. Perhaps, this is a special version of W880i for Vodafone (W880IVodafone). Remember, were life pics with W880, where instead Walkman logo was Vodafone logo.
