I want a Ultra-Highend smartphone

Yes i wish to hear a whisperr from PK about his 3 Prototype but obviously he can't.

We'll find out soon enough.

if money is not an issue with you, better leave SE for a while. coz they really have very bad offering now-adays. boring.

A lot of nice offerings from other companies are already out. prices has gone down as well. then simply comeback to SE if all these promises will come to reality. For sure by that time, SE is again years old.

You will just be left waiting for things to come-out and look around, many people have enjoyed them already.

i have been a big fan of SE and infact have recruited a lot of my friends to use the SE since the boom of walkmans. but now, i have gone too far. something which i never imagine i will use. the LG phones.

I am now using LG viewty. after n95, n91 & blackjack, etc. meaning, i find all this in my u990. 5meg, decent music quality and fast texting. i dont use GPS and dont normally use install third party applications and WIFI. (though pity it doesnt have).

But i am still a very loyal fan afterall. in fact, i still visit ESATO everyday.

I don't mind receiving a PM with details, either.

The sixth of November seems to be the big date. A swedish magazine mentions it today. "New Walkman phones and new strategies in the entertainment area..." The picture is from a SE teaser but it doesnt say where they got the teaser from.

I don't think so, this is just an inaccurate image, why they should put an Next-123SE on it? thats i lil bit stuped, i think they ment that phone to be w850 as it obviously look like it.

Posted by Angello
yes this wasn't really clever of me^^

Posted by laurenke01
Awesome. Maria is definitely interesting, though the tech-nerd in me is definitely salivating over the "P3i" or whatever it will be called.

I gotta say....I am loving Nokia's N-series, but if SE can pull off something that incorporates all the features of the N95 and maybe then some, I'm definitely sold. Hopefully they won't make the usual mistake of making it only triband (though if they truly want to compete with Nokia, they won't).

im with beta-tester on this one

i first noticed the phone in this picture in this link :
http://m3.idg.se/2.1022/1.127633

the devil in the end is the only one popping out wearing the phone on his waist

anyway if its not.. then this phone really looks like W850i

May be an update to the w850?????

@goldenface

could you find any information about the P600i? I haven't heard any info about the blue/green smartphone that came out a while ago. Could that be P600i instead of M610i?

Posted by domipost
Yeah, maybe P600 is lizy

Hope it's the 6th of November btw, 15th i'm in England, and have no internet acces

You're right M610 is lizy however, Do you remember elena? it was named P700 in it's prototype stage and then P1 at final version that's what he mean i guess:)

Lizy has gotten FCC approved by the name M610 with full manuals and such. This wasn't the case with Elena / P1 / P700.

It only Looks real, or if it's real it will only be sold in Japan...

Just waiting on the full specs of the two upcoming NTTDoCoMo handsets. The SO905iCS seems to be packing some punch.

Now that's a phone worthy of CS name(assuming the imaging is better than 910SH, etc...)...I bet SE Japan are crying(with laughter) at K850......

I'm sure we'll get the hardware...albeit in a year's time(if not longer)......

@goldenface

any pics of Maria???

Posted by goldenface
@n3o

I'm working on it.

@Aware

Has there been more than one occasion when Japanese hardware has found its way to these shores?

Sharp seem to be the only company that has done so in the past, but the demands of the Japanese and Western markets are so markedly different, they would have to design a completely different range of phones, which is a huge venture for a company. Sharp's big clamshells weren't a huge success for the company, even though they were very capable.

Nice technical specification:

5Mpix + 3optical zoom
VGA 480x864
150g
Size 113x50x24 mm

I think that’s new Cyber-Shot …K900i (possible only 2008 Q3)

Sharp's big clamshells weren't a huge success for the company, even though they were very capable.

Sharp failed, because of Vodafone's awful marketing(if 903SH was only available on £50+ tarrifs, who's gonna get it?? And no Paygo prices, like they offer now, either), and the british public's reluctance to pay for the technology they actually want('I want a free phone!!!' Ungrateful *@^£$*&ers). I moaned to O2 about 903SH actually, but they're no better......

1) Everyone knows about V802SE/V800/Z800(incidentally the only SE EVER to support organic animated themes)...don't forget though, that W900 was designed/built there, even though it wasn't marketed there(Japan didn't have Walkman at the time, I don't know whether they'd have fallen for the branding trick back then)...and of course, more recently, W880 was designed(and built?) in Japan, too......

I just cannot get hold of an SO902i(3mp candybar) to compare to K800, but I believe to this day, that they share at least some hardware, I just can't prove it......

And the 904SH sitting in front of me right now just rubs in the sad state of our non-japanese handsets/capabilties - I'd run it tomorrow(and sod all this 5mp overrated crap), if there were only a way to unlock it......

Posted by >500
ah, still waiting on the 904sh unlock code i was gonna buy one, lucky i didnt!

Posted by gjsl
SE is going to fail us again!!

From mobile-review .com moderator :

"6th of November is true date for the announcement. but don't expect sth exiting... 3 walkman phones, one mid-to-high-end and two cheap ones."

If it's true Sonyericsson future is uncertain.. with iphone already on the market!

[ This Message was edited by: gjsl on 2007-10-30 11:20 ]

Posted by Aware
No, stopped waiting, I stumped up a small fortune and called both Softbank(COMPLETE waste of time and money), and Sharp UK(only marginally less so). Figured then that no point trying any more(especially as xumdeo had reported unlockers frying phones every time they tried unlock). It works, it shows up every other phone as the incompetent devices they are, it's still the first-ever VGA screened(non-smart) phone, and SE(or really anyone else, tbh) still can't match it, fast approaching 2 years later......

No-one who sees it can remain quiet, that's for sure! Maybe I'll get a TurboSim......

Sorry to be OT

Posted by Mizzle
What will the last phone be... I wonder.

Posted by >500
@gjsl
i doubt will go bankrupt if they dont realease all in one n95 style phones. People (every day consumers, not us mobile buffs) will stll buy them.

It won't even have a simcard slot! NTT/AU phones don't use sims, in fact, only Softbank phones do, and SE don't seem to be interested in making phones for Softbank, even though every other manufacturer does(last phone was V802SE, when Sb were still Vodafone KK)......

Posted by Angello
and how is it possible then to use the phone in europe??
is it actuallyt possible to buy a japanese sony ericsson phone without mobilephone contract?
has someone a page where i can see the prices of them?

[ This Message was edited by: beta-tester on 2007-10-30 14:02 ]

Posted by Aware
That's the problem, Japanese phones can only be used by Japanese! In europe they have to use roaming agreements, just like we do if we leave UK......

If you do find somewhere to get Japanese phones without contract, I'd very much like SO902i and SO903i(preferred)......
