Are the R300 and R306 running A200?! Wow for low end phones (low endish i guess) that's pretty good. Correct me if I'm wrong because I just noticed the call/end keys on the phone.

Well, that's true. But it seems verry unlogical to me R300/306 will be A200. Even most mid-range phones aren't A200.
Maybe it's new Sagem UI?

It's not Sagem. I can't seem to find any reason for why it shouldn't be A200. The radio application on those phones is exclusive for A200, unless they've back ported it.

Is this the update?
We’ve got yet another small update on the upcoming Beibei phone. It appears that it’ll be running UIQ 3.2 and will feature the same Walkman player as on the lovely W960. Furthermore, it’ll have a radio and a camera lens cover. For what I’m concerned, there’s a slight chance it’ll also feature auto focus.
Update! It will also feature Opera Mobile 9 with widgets support!

That's what I thought too--UIQ 3.2 is the same version Moto uses, right? The non-TS version?
That would be a nice complement to the P5i....I shall have to save some extra cash now.

What do you expect the price point of this device will be? My original reaction based on design was that it was going to be less expensive than the W960i, but based on specs, it seems to contradict that. The only thing I can figure that would make it lower than W960 would be the inclusion of either less or no flash memory.
So...what do you think?

I think it should be the same as what the W960 is now. Probably 450 Euros or something at launch but having said that it is UIQ so lets wait and see. Im definatley interested in this though. Its the only walkman that has caught my eye properly since my W810.

I believe it's OMAP CPU, since Motorola has 2 UIQ phones powered by Omap and since Motorola UIQ had already finished it's implementation with the processor the research and development to implement it on BeiBei will be faster and less expensive imo. but i would also hope that it would be Qualcomm snapdragon powered so that SE could integrate ATi graphics chip on it

I dont think its SEs answer to the N82. Its a walkman phone for starters and its cam is only 3.2mp and with an LED flash.

Doesn't necessarily mean SEMC will have it easier / faster.
Why would Moto share their IP wrt to the 2420 baseport with SEMC?
Nokia had a Symbian baseport to 2420 before Moto, it didn't help Moto at all.
Trust me, Motorola and SEMC have tried to explore synergies within UIQ3.x where they can share costs but finding those areas has proved to be difficult.
