i dunno why anyone would be eXcited for another xperia device ... we ALL know that itll just be a SLIGHT variation to the one we have coming out now.
sad, i know but HTC is not gonna make another platform for SE, itll be the same thing with/without keyboard and so forth.

I wish they just kept Paris and just updated the hardware and features of the phone. I know that would of been a big hit. What se has planned for 2009 we'll soon find out.

I agree, although the keyboard was a bit borderline for most people.

All the information we gathered on Hikaru is in the Smartphone section of the 1st post.
The last information we had was that it was a slider with a full touch screen running UIQ. However, this is now said to have a new codename but no word on the new specs unfortunately.

i dont its idle speculation, like most of this thread. im merely stating the facts of the past as a prelude. this is what SE does to save on cost, we've seen it, time and time again! if you dont like it then boo urns. if/when it is revealed well see. HTC didnt even use a different platform for its latest handsets (Diamond/TouchPro/HD/WiMax HD) all slight variations on the same mainboard/cpu. i doubt theyll create a WHOLE NEW PLAT for a CONTRACTOR on the 2nd phone, unless its a year+ out, even then i have my doubts. but at least its HTC instead of SE.

According to my info next Xperia will have 5mp. However, that touchscreen UIQX labeled smartphone is very interesting. Also Walkman 4 is coming very soon. In addition, I am glad that W900 form factor will come back. And yes, there will be no P series anymore, acording to my sources. Xperia will represent SE smartphone line: UIQ,WinMob,Android. Maybe there will be 3 or 4 Xperia’s released 2009. I know for sure about 2 of them.
Hikaru project is in status quo. Although they have tasted on TI, and Qualcomm processors but it is not sure if the new UIQ mobile will be Hicaru. Next UIQ is in testing phase and it is showing very good results. Even the interface is very responsive and eye candy they are struggling to put something innovative. Fingerprint lock is not big deal and time will show how effective will be if they agree to implement it. The Xperia device that is testing the new WinMob 7 is running on Qualcomm QSD8250 processor. UIQX device is running on TI OMAP3430. Android testing device has the same processor as G1, well for now.
It is very interesting to see all touchscreen walkman coming. But don't expect it too soon.

I believe H2 means second half of 2009. It is unlikely that an H series is on the horizon, unless pioneered by the much talked about Hicaru (whose fate is at this point unknown)
