the samsung has a smaller focal length...... not sure about other specs of lens/sensor though.....

The thickness of C905 comes from Xenon Flash unit. Samsung lacks Xenon Flash.

Thanks for the good news! One with 8Gb and one with 16Gb, both smartphones, apparently, and specs do sound good from what we are hearing so far. Now it depends on the nature of the hardware (overall aesthetics, screen size, touchscreen, processors, keyboards/keypads etc) and the OS (UIQ? WM? S60?). But sounds like we are finally getting what we want here, a smartphone (ideally not WM) with fantastic specs. Here's hoping for at least one of these being released this year!

Why?
My PC monitor is 1600x1200 which means 2MP is already optimal and
8MP won't make the image better or sharper and it's just a waste of space.

There's no difference in image quality between 2MP and 1,000,000PM if viewed in a big 1600x1200 monitor. although you can zoom with the later

No offense to the man, but that phone is very obviously fake and I thought that since I first saw it. SE_cz has done much better work like his latest in the photoshop thread which looks amazingly real.
