hi okti.
as we discussed i tried setool last week. i successfully connected wit mobile and modded my k850i as well as w910i. i changed my w910is audio driver with w980, and just modified my layout to egt rid off op-logo, added flash themes. everything was fine. but my mic was not working. then i tried master reset. but the phone no longer restarted properly it hangs at some balnk scrren. so i reflashed with seus.
but i changed my k850is driver with w980i's driver thats working fine.
i got setool for only a short time. i made scripts my self for layout and flash menus.works fine.
1.also i noticed that. i could connect my mobile with DUC-60 cable with setool s/w. but i couldn't connect SEtool s/w with setool h/w service cable.
then whats the need of that hardware.
2. if i remove the setool h/w the setool s/w is not working.
is there anyway possible to get the s/w worked without setool h/w?? bec it works via duc-60 cable.

I got A BROD today with R1FA035. I had flashed it with SEUS 3 weeks ago, even though I already had the latest firmware, in hopes of getting a complete reflash so that this wouldn't happen again. This is my 3rd BROD. I have 2 different memory cards 1 M2 and 1 microsd. All of my BROD have occured with the microsd. I am tired of reflashing my phone. SE will you exchange my k850 for the C905? Please...

For me, it is the end with SE. The K850 had to get a new lcd and keyboard, and SE had my k800 for a month to return it saying they won't even try to fix it as I live in PT and it was bought in the UK. So, goodbye SE. Too bad, I really liked your phones, but your quality control and attitude towards customers sucks.

I got a k850 from netherlands I had to flash it in a mobile shop so that I can add arabic languarge and also cause I was getting the operation field message when I try to open the games or applications folder. Now my new fw is R1CA029 and as we all know it's so buggy fw when I connect my phone to Seus it says it's up to date. I choose english uk. I really need to upgrade the phone is so bad compared to my old k800. Any idea how to update. thank you

sorry but what's meant by CDA, and how it can affect my updating process. I cant flash online cause I don't have the ability to pay online. And if I have the main and FS of the R1FA035 can I take'm with me to the mobile repair shop and ask the guy there to flash them for me instead of the old ones he has.

Must say R1Ea031 is not such a bad fw. My K850 has bn very stable with it. If R1f is available i will update to it. How large are K850 fw updates in mb? Just wana make sure i dont kill my data cap.

Phone was insured and still under warranty! Getting the C902 instead by week's end.
ATM using my trusty 3+y.o. K750i which still works like a charm. Its Fast AND reliable
Everything the K850i should've been.
I'll still stick with

The reason why K750i is faster than k850i is because both phones use the same processor speed/capability (209 Mhz), but the k850 uses more applications (e.g. ) touch sensitive buttons that are "always on", larger screen, autocontrast that is also always on.
Simply put, the k850 chokes itself whenever we use its full potential.
The story could have been different if SE used a higher processor;
1. The photos blur out easily when subjects move coz the processor is slow.
2. Random restarts, coz the the processor simply "faints" when too much applications are open.
3. Video and audio doesn't synch coz the processor simply couldn't cope up.
Darn. If only the SE engineers and designers have realized it, one fatal decision and everything goes bad.

I jumped from k750 to k850.
I'm not dissatisfied with my K850, but it could have been so much more than this.

On the other hand, I have faith on the C905. Here are the list of reasons I have to say so:
1. It has more similarities with k800 than k850 except the new UI. Remember that the k800 is more of a success than the k850
btw, I always thought I was the only one in my community who owns a k850, just recently just saw 5 happy users. Ignorance is bliss ^_^
2. It has smart contrast. We all know about it - k800 and k850 has trouble with the subject having a sunny background, the focused subject becomes black while the environment is perfectly lit. I hope SE won't balls this one up.
3. A slider - though I hate a slider, SE finally figured it out that you could not balance ergonomics with size perfectly. So to avoid crammed up space and a weird d-pad (which I honestly like in contrast) they finally gave in to a slider.
4. Larger lens capabilities - the lens although not a carl-zeiss optic has better specs than k850
5. It has no touch sensitive button, which is a) power-thirsty b) slows processor down (And again, i like touch sensitive buttons in contrast)
I really really hope the C905's a beaut, or else the Cyber-shot family is going to be just a name.. and nothing more...
PS
I just removed the extra glass cover above the camera of my K850. had to void warranty to do so:
1. Pinkish red somehow was reduced.
2. Details somehow is better
3. And the color is a little bit better
Cons:
I still like it when there's glass over it. It looks somehow "normal" with the glass on. I'll just continue my observation for a week.

I totaly agree. Im also not dissatisfied with my K850 but i just know it could have been so much better if SE had actualy thrown in a better CPU.

Guess what? after ditching my 3 months worth of remaining warranty for the purpose of removing the glass cover from the lens, I placed it back after 8 hours.
Not much of a difference in terms of photo quality, maybe 5 or 7%. And the phone doesn't look good without it.
Conclusion: pink color is not the glass covers fault.
Anyways, I'd say the k850 is better than k750 coz it does a hell lot more with its camera than the older model.
But the menu scrolling and UI animation is more smoother with a k750.
PS, it's cool to open the k850 though.
