WOW this firmware sure is more table!!~~ Previous in 037 version my phone reboots whenever I marked ard more than 20 sms and tried to delete them, but now I marked like seem around 50 sms and it deleted them beautifully !!~~~

Video sync can be fixed:
-When you first play a video it is perfectly in sync
-Restart or play another video either the picture or sound lags
-keep pressing the left arrow until the video becomes in sync
This always works for, take about 3 attemps though, but when your watching a 2 hour movie, it is definately worth it

Nevermind, everything is fine... i tried running jbenchmark but my numbers were much lower than those posted....
maybe my phone is slow...
it feels much faster than before.

Although its not recommended by SE you should do a Master Reset, choosing the all option before you update. The update procedure should be like this.
1. Fully charge the battery
2. Master Reset the phone choosing the "ALL" option
3. Remove and Reinsert the battery, obviously turning off the phone beforehand.
4. Hold C on the phone while connecting the cable. Release when prompted
5. When finished, disconnect cable and remove then reinsert battery.
Using these steps, you'll end up with a less chance of having a corrupted firmware or file in the phone.
My first impressions of Generic US which were already mentioned:
-Media player menu is significantly faster
-Flash burst is MUCH faster
Other than that, haven't noticed anything else. Pictures look the same to me, I haven't tried night shots.

Sorry guys, Is the new FW out on Da vinci yet? It seems i can't use SEUS anymore since I re flashed with da vinci. It gets half way through rendering my phone useless, then i have to pay da vinci to flash it back again.

AFAIK DaVinci has R1FA035 for Rogers Canada and Generic America (all languages) only.

Finally updated my phone, from R1DA038.
1. Master reset - All (before updating)
2. Update trough SEUS (approx. 7 minutes, including the download)
4. Restored a backup created previously with MyPhoneExplorer (Contacts, SMS, phone memory content)
5. Tweaked the settings (no start image/videoclip, no Flight Mode query, no keylock and various other) to match the settings I had before the update.
6. Turned the phone off to insert a microSDHC card I just bought. I removed it before the update, even though I'm sure it was OK to leave it in.
7. Restart - and WHOA! - the phone boots and finds the network in 10 seconds (before the update it needed 25+).
As soon as I find some improvement or problem not mentioned previously in this topic, I'll keep you guys posted.

My current verdict:
- Battery performance is still the same as R1EA037
- Restarts: 0, nada, kapoots
- Camera is still the same, I use auto ISO with flash off for low lights, and ISO 100 with flash for dark shoots. The phone speed makes it a bit better though.
- in Media viewfinder, animated zoom in and zoom out of photos cut short.
I'll rate this new firmy 7/10.
the missing 3 points stands for the R3 firmy that we still am craving (dream on, dream on...)

Just to inform you, WESTERN-EURO uses Generic main firmware, while APAC-ANZ uses China main. That's a big difference.
Didn't you change your CDA when running KK three months ago?

From standby, press D-pad right, *, D-pad left 2 times, *, Dpad left, and *. It will bring you the Software info. Post it here. The CDA is under 'customisation'. For example 1201-8437 R11A APAC-ANZ

I choose the cust uk one. However i had probs with it as i lost my little g and e. I then choose the united kingdom green one not any customised ones and its loads better. Every thing works fine.

Please help me. I'm desperate. I can't update my phone. I already downloaded the firmware but when it is being installed in my phone it says, "Upadate Failed."
I don't know what's wrong with my phone. I did follow the tips in firmware updating. But I still got this error message.
It's the first time it happened to me. When I updated from 31 to 37 it went smoothly.

rss_ndsrn - Your best bet is uninstall update manager, restart the computer, reinstall update manager. Remove and reinstall the batter from your phone and try again. If it fails, I would just suck it up and pay the money from Davinci:(

The main difference is that the customised one comes preinstalled with all the network settings for mms and wap.
However the uk customised one also switches of the little g and e in the top left hand corner and you cant switch them on no matter what Ive been told.
However they do come on when you connect to internet.
If you choose the united kingdom one like ive have done then the you get no settings for the any networks so you have to just down load them yourself which is very easy.
Also regarding to what has been said. You get all the pics, ring tones, themes, and games like you do with the customised one. You also get the little e and g symbol too
Ive done 6 k850i now and i will now always choose the united kingdom one for me and not the customised one. Hope this helps.

Ok my Findings on a fresh install of R1FA035 United Kingdom (24 Hours on)
From R1EA031 O2
Pros
• The phone starts 2-3 seconds faster
• Marble Madness is very different, It reacts so much better
• Mp’4s are in sync, I’ve played many videos and no probs at all
• The phone hasn’t crashed or rebooted once (Normally this used to happen once a day or so)
• Phone it self is general faster (Or is Feels much faster)
• New Feature in Media (Update)
• Battery Life is better
The phone was fully charged this morning, Ive made the following
48mins of calls
75 sms
13 pics
2 mms
21mb of internet, email and rss feeds switching from GPRS to EDGE
1 hour of wap usage
15 mins of marble madness
15 mins of music
And the battery life is still at 72%
Cons
• When using File Manager you can no longer select the files by using the first letters of them
• The phone is still slow when you are listening to music and texting etc, However this is no way as slow as with R1EA031. It’s a vast improvement, but could be still better

I have noticed no different from R1EA031 to R1FA035
Ive also took some shots of Brum with my Nikon S550 camera and the K850i regarding the colours and the reds.

This is the true colour of the reds
This Picture was taken with the SE K850i on R1FA035
This shows the pic with slightly more flash so it looks like the reds are not as deep
Took with the Nikon S550 (The Chair Is brighter in colour but very acurate in the colouring
Took with the K850i (Slighlt darker and again in the dark the chair does have a slighlty purple tint)
Both were left on Automatic
