We have no way of flashing it ourselves. Laser can release the firmware but we have no means of using it anyways. An SE Tool box is over $200 and the cheapest solution for all of us is davinci,kk,totalgsm

Well, I haven't been in here since the middle of April and haven't updated my firmware since. I'm assuming theres a new one available but is it any good? Mainly, is the camera still crap?
I've just tried taking some pictures of a football shirt, about 10 in total, in macro mode, and on 6 of them, the flash didn't go off.

I fired up update service, it checked for some updates and now it says "finalizing"...
And it has been half a minute. Closing it says "cannot close application while synchronization is in process"...

Couldn't we just ask you to spend a lot of your time writing a software solution that could do that and then you help out "the community" by making it free or with optional donation, while they bitch and moan that you're not doing it any faster?

@ sblantipodi i think is not released yet because it brings new functions, like C902. I think is not just a simple f/w ... because otherwise is no reason with this delay. We can wait and see if this is the main reason.
I guess next week will be out, like was said, at the end of June.

I just tried davinchi and checked the latest box and it found the "R1FA035" firmware. I havn't tried it because the CDA looks wierd.

Well from what I can see, no new features. No face detection on the camera. Still the same speed as the old one imo. The media app seems faster.
