R1EA031 is the current one for o2.
However my friend has a generic R1EA037 and the video does the same thing on his.

I flashed my unbranded K850 to R1EA037
so far seems to be fine.
Althought the Activity key (the shorcuts key) isn't working. I hit it and sound "click click"so mecanically is O.K.
Now when i go to service tests and press the key, says Menu activity, which means nothing is wrong with the key itself but with the firmware.
Do you guys face the same problem?

Hi guys. I really don't understand it.
I don't have this problem with the new software. Hmm :/

A litle tired of this soc topp of the line phone
You cant make a phone out of a camera and other way a round so sell this k850 and wait for a new disapointment for there next top of line with new bugs and new probs

Are there any K850 owners that have not had problems?
Posted by burmistrz
I have no problems, since SE center reflashed my phone, over 4 months ago.
It´s started with java app failures, misfired flash, you name it! I had all those FW 029 known bugs
After reflashing, I did all availlable updates via SEUS and nothing.
Maybe, just a few reboots on FW 031, but nothing serious.
Now I´m very pleased with my K850i. But still want more
Posted by shawon
I never had any reboots whatsoever....
The only problem I had with my phone is that I cannot unlock the bonus Titanium level (the one where you have to win 5 games in a row) because after the 3rd game the application quits stating it uses too much memory!!!
Apart from that major bug all is fine..

O2 UK current software version is R1EA031, can't update to R1EA037!
What are the new K??? Cyber-Shot phones like?

You can make a cam out of a phone... yeah it won't have the best of features but you can make it work!
I had no probs with my w800 - attacked it with knifes, spilt beer on it etc... and it still made calls and took ok enough pics and played music
Now my K850 won't turn on and looks tatty even tho I've looked after it.
I can put up with seemingly beta firmware that reboots occaisionally - but when I have to carry around a spare phone in case it breaks, I can't be having it.
Therefore I shall be using it as a paperweight until stable firmware comes out and I'll de-BROD it.
Yes, this post serves no purpose, but I'm really disappointed and so want to whine about it.... I've been "bigging up" SE to me mates for a few years now and even tho they aren't having problems, I feel a fool (esp. as I was bragging my K850 was better than the K800 a few of them have!)

031 is so very best. i have use 029 & 037 before but i like 031 most. 037 was quite good, but was much slower.
its quite funny, i have never have one single BSOD or restart with 031 ( DPY-uppgrade), so for me 031 works like a charm

my k850i is unbranded and i update using SEUS

One of our local Three Dealers informed me that R1EA037 is the best firmware for the phone and that is solves all the bugs of the previous firmwares....LOL
my phone had a BROD a few days after upgrading to it!!! its still in repair!!!
altho other than that i loved the new firmware...very quick and responsive....as for the BROD i think people have reported to have seen it happen in all different firmwares...so i reckon thats just being unlucky!!!

so its the sharpness in document mode still there ???? like inside old 037 ???

it shows that the camdriver was not changed, but to be honest, i think there were some changes.. its "crappier" basically..

WOW! It's very beautiful.
But I can't take any photo as it.
Color of this photo is deep .... and very true.
Can you tell me the way to do it ?
Thanks

RULE NUMBER 1 "find" the "right" light and use it properley. (like allways)
cell phones have small(week) cam-sensors and need good/stable light-strenght.

That's a Negative - only confirmed BRODs started showing up with R1EA031 and then later with EA037. R1CA037/38/39 do Not have BROD issues. I've gone back to CA037 for now until I hear that there is a stable, non-rebooting, non-BRODing firmware out there. I can deal with a slow phone, I can't deal with a dead phone...

Second brod. The phone was flashed with kulakendi with 031 but died again.
I reverted back to old 37 that at least is stable.
I ve sold the phone to a friend of mine and at least i revived it paying 8 euros again otherwise he would start kicking me!!!!
Posted by Vlad83
@jor1ge, when yu flashed, did you remove the memory card prior to flash?
Posted by plankgatan
new 037 is absolutley fastet firmware.
very good. thank you
Posted by sniper_supra
In my Opinion, EA037 is better than the previous firmwares.
I'm a happy EA037 user. But of course I'm still hungry for more revisions.
Posted by sielski666
im abit confused..........SEUS says i have the latest but i can still update.....does this mean i can update to 037. oh im orange manufactured by the way.
Posted by reAaa
the new 037 firmware still has BROD right?
Posted by sielski666
even with my orange firmware R1EC001 it still turns off and on again now and again, my girlfriends o2 one doesn't tho :*(
Posted by peppy
Mine just died
BROD.
Latest firmware.
Posted by sielski666
so if i use the seus to update even if i have the latest firmware for my phone wich is R1EC001 would it change to the new 037?
Posted by e_erzan
no brod for me,no reboots for me,unless i tortured it to death...
So far,a fast,stable,good one,best battery for me.... i love SE k850i

I did. So far, no problems except for a few reboots.

i updated my previous green k850 to EA031 but unfortunately it was very unstable, and i had the unit exchanged by my carrier.
my new unit (blue) runs on the old CA037, very stable, but also very slow.
judging by the comments on this thread, many seem satisfied and happy with the new 037... would you recommend me to upgrade too?

cool the new photos taken with EA037 dont have noise, i love that

its a pretty simple choice for me, ill stick with R1CA037 til a new firmware is out that is reboot/BROD free. Easy as that, doesnt matter how fast the new fw is, like someone mentioned before, a working phone is better than a dead one.

Uhm, I don't know exactly... but around a week.
It was repaired using kulankendi the same day it died.

Hey My K850- R1DA038 have a BROD yesterday after 3 months of use.I have a question. My cda is wrong but if you have a BROD and lunch a SEUS is update available??SEUS dont repair BROD?
Posted by daverob
I'm on my third K850. First one lasted almost 3 months! I updated via SEUS to the Orange UK firmware R1EC001 and then it BRODed about 2 weeks later. Phone was just in my pocket.
Rang Orange who said they'd never heard of the problem! Fortunately for me, because they hadn't heard of it, they sent me a replacement next day. Apparently if it is a known problem they don't send out replacements.
That one lasted 5 days - same thing - just sitting in my pocket. Same R1EC001 firmware.
Rang Orange again and a different bloke said "we have never heard of anything like that before." I never told him it was a well known issue. Received my replacement today, same firmware. I think I'm going off SE.
