Never had that problem, things like opera mini would always request the internet that show the small globe

One thing that i have been having trouble with is the RSS reader, as i use it quite a lot, and its supposed to update the feeds at intervals, but it just doesn't do it sometimes, i've got to resart it to have any effect.
I also use push e-mail too, perhaps its this kind of thing, plus the 6GB SDHC card just making the phone go "not going to do this" and restart.
Maybe its just fussy!

Can't be bothered to update mine. I'm actually thinking of selling it. I've just been without it for a week due to the their being a fault with the touchscreen and whilst it was in for repair, I had a Nokia 6300. Only a very simple, minimalistic phone but I absolutely love it. It looks fantastic and its absolutely tiny and since the only thing I really do on my phone is text, I'd rather have the 6300. The K850 is absolutely enormous in comparison and is nowhere near as good to text with.
Yes the K850 is a superb phone but as I don't use any of the features on it, there isn't really much thats making me want to keep it.

Any news if its been released on o2-uk?
Im not abel to check until later this afters

hi everyone. im new to the forum. well i have a K850i and it crashed last week. i used kulankandi to flash my phone. then i updated it usin SEUS. everything works fine. but now i have this message that pops up "ciphering not provided by operator. Insecure transmission" when i make a call or receive a call. i also noticed that this message only appears when the phone is running on the EDGE network. it doesnt appear when i have 3G coverage. this problem did not appear before the phone crashed. i tried using different SIM. only my providers SIM gives me this notice.

I've also noticed something strange occur.
I thought i'd try the FOTA service, just to see if it was saying anything different to SEUS.
It connected to the service, but instead of telling me i already had the latrst software installed, it just quit and went back to the Update service screen.
Looks like SE are doing something with FOTA now, its taken long enough!

After 1.5 months, I got my phone back with R1EA031, but i updated it....
I am starting to get really fed up of SE new cr@p... phone is still slow, contact list is lagging. And for same price and 5MP i can get phone with WLAN (N82 or even N95/(or add a bit more for new 96), but I hate Nokia's design, it's cr@p, imho)
What about new F/W: did not notice a lot of really cool changes....same sh1t...
And now.....am really NOT sure if my new phone would be SE (after K750 am really disappointed with this SE's phones, I would say K750 is the best phone of SE and one of the best phones ever)

what use is wlan on a phone?!
If you're in range of a wlan then you're usually at home or work and therefore in bluetooth range of your pc/laptop
If you're out and about you've got hdpsa so don't have to go searching around for a hotspot
no update for voda uk

Definately GLAD that
is working on opening up to allow FOTA to do its thing! Kinda ironic as I mentioned this in another thread on another forum as FOTA being the biggest let down of SE ...glad that they're fixing things.

FREAKIN' A!
Looks like VERY soon the TrackID will now be updated and the NEW SE PlayNOW Online MUSIC Service (searching for music recorded off the phones library, recorded via mic, or radio to PlayNow): Searching, purshasing, browsing artist biographies will be up & running
Mizzle any update to this?

I think he's asking for help rather than showing something new.
It says it's only for SE mobiles but i assume he's using a k850

can the first page of the thread be changed from 3 UK (CDA102511/69) - R1DA039

the first thing i did after the update was make a call and i got this error message. i have not gone on the internet.i tried resetting the phone as well but this error message still appears. i tried other SIMs for different service providers. the error only appears on my service provider. but this error wasnt there before i updated. and the error only comes when the phone is running on edge. it doesnt appear when the phone is running on 3G

Well 3UK R1EA037 is working really well here. Maybe early days yet but this firmware has really improved the phone in my opinion anyway. i love the touch button vibrate and the speed of the phone, hard to explain but im pleased anyway. Glad you got sorted huggons too. maybe a coincidence that 3Uk released it on FOTA when i posted but still glad it came.

going on day 2, no random reboots yet... *cross-fingers*

hello, i cant update my phone is western- euro, how can i change my cda with kulankendi, do i have to flash all my phone or just change my cda, and what number do i have to put in??
Posted by ogrex
I had about 5 random reboots on 031. I upgraded to 037 two days ago and haven't seen any reboots yet.
As a precaution I removed the SD card before flashing. I also let the phone boot after the flashing without the card in place.
This is an unbranded handset delivered with 029 FW.
Keeping my fingers crossed..

How do I know what version of firmware the phone will upgrade to before I do it. Mine is an Orange branded phone, so no idea if it is out for these yet, but do not want to end up with BROD and do not want 031 firmware that everyone is having problems with.

On SEUS it confirms the firmware you're about to update to before you click 'continue' to actually start the process

the only improvement I see in the new firmware is the GPRS Icon when surfing with a java midlet.
no speed improvement, nothing else.
