I've made it!
I've discovered how to make you battery status to show 100%. I've just charged my phone thru the usb in phone mode and when i've removed the usb cable, after a few hours, it shows me 100% <:-P

my K850i sometimes shows 100% and sometimes 99% after a full charge...probably just a bug...it is not that important for me

Posted by buntoo
my K810i showed 100% battery even after some hours.. but my K850i always shows 99% battery after 100% charging. I think it doesn't make any difference. and its battery time is better than that of my old K810i.

Hey guys,

Another bug to add to the list on 037.

Set your brightness level to anything under 100%.

Go to standby, and fire up the camera. Exit the camera.

You will see that the original brightness settings are not conserved. Go into your options and move the bars higher or lower and you will see the difference.

I don't have it on my 037 unbranded ADRIATIC. I keep the brightness to 60% since I bought my phone and it stays that way after I use the camera.

On mine it does and I have the same version and customization like yours.
I think by standby @obentou means that the phone is without the keys locked.

My phone has the same problem, (037), but it has with 029 too. I know it since Christmas, since I have the phone. because I use it with 50% lighting. After you use the camera, it remains at 100% lighting,
-untill the light is modofied in the settings
-or until the lighting and screen switces off
then next time when it lights up, it will use the setting before (50% lighting for example.).

@DURAN
Me to...
I've never got 100% when charging the other way but what can I say?
Yes it's a minor bug and sincerely I will "try to live with it" if this will remain and be only bug in the new firmware...
Btw, the battery level is worst that on my ex-K800i. About one day difference.
Let's hope that SE had learn something form this phone experience and will never release such a buggy firmware.

Well, it does seem a good chance to get a firmware then just like tomorrow or the day after tomorrow...
Nobody knows for sure because of the great Sony Ericsson customer service department.
I wonder if SE will ever build cars? Who knows?

Ohh yeah.. and we all love their programmers and beta testers, not to speak about their customer service department and management...

I just , to torture myself, tried to update via FOTA and of cours there where no update. But my query is: Does firmware updates arrive on FOTA after it's available on the net?

Posted by buntoo

Posted by fullforce
Nah i'm through beeing patient. I don't believe it will arrive this month.
But as i said earlier: Miracles can happen.

all i can say and hope is that good things come to those who wait

Was just some "trying to be funny user" was inventing that the date would only be on Feb. 14.

I'm still believe that will be tomorow or until the end of the month...

becouse they have removed the R1CA1037 unbranded from the servers since Friday... Maybe they have done that for an obiviously reason that they will update the new one FW soon.

Posted by lun4r
Btw, can the new FW boost the camera for the k850?

coz yesterday i had a chance to compare my k850 cam (029 FW, w40) with my friend's k810 (latest firmware, 4 months old) and u know what, my k850 is defeated badly, k810 produces more detailed photos and with better color too...
is that a software problem or a basic hardware problem?

Posted by obentou
It's probably software. The camera driver can be tweaked as we have seen in the K750i, and K800i to give off "vivid" colours, and other stuff.

I hate the K800i camera though. It seems as if it is interpolated 3.2MP.

I hope they have nightmares now!

Posted by fullforce
Nah i don't think they have nightmares and i think the developers/programmers are working hard. But their bosses bosses should have had the knowledge and experience enought to see that they would have problems with the firmwares and done something about it a long time ago! Planned ahead! I think that the mobile manufacturers should rethink their attitude towars us customers and not let us be their beta testers/guinnypigs!

Try Tonight in the evening..... From what I gather they update their servers with the FW around midday.

Posted by naveensiva
I am very eagerly waiting for someone to shout they have got the update...
Hope , today or by tom we get it..,
How much will the update be? Any guess guys? Over FOTA?

Mine is 10-15 mb
My prev update from 029 to 037 took around 3.5 mb...

Posted by buntoo
dont update by FOTA as it will be expensive n slow.. Use SEUS or by FOTA using PC cable/dsl over bluetooth pan.

Posted by Togan
any chance it might be released tomorrow guys??

Nothing on FOTA yet.

It is not slow when you use HSDPA at 3.6 Mbps.

And if you have an unlimited data plan it is not expensive.

Posted by buntoo
yeah but not every1 has got a 3G network

Posted by 1889
Or an unlimited data plan.......

Posted by KopStar
BTW, with the K850i and the W910i, How exactly do you know if you are using HSDPA?

Because I am convinced that it doesn't work on the W910!

Is there a icon change or anything?

So am I... But in places that I used to get the '3.5G' icon on my Nokia N95, I get nothing... any ideas?

I am on unlimited gprs until this wednesday evening...
Hope the new firmy gets released within that time..
On my gprs itself its fast... Ya it will take around 10 to 15 minutes if its around 10 mb update..but its ok...

Posted by aloe
The k850 cannot be displayed whit an h with the 037 firmware

GPRS or EDGE?
I used gprs unlimited package for 3months but its slow n give only 3-4KB/s. So now i surf my pc 1Mbps on my cell when at home. What's ur gprs dl speed?
If its 10KB/s then 10MB will take approx. 16min.
Anywayz will the coming firmware has the same excellent battery time as on -037?

is the 038 firm on fota

My phone is a unbranded W910i running R1CA039 (not a K850i, I know)
Can anyone post a pic of what the 'H' icon looks like?

Sadly no... 039 was released in October for the W910i... but the issues affecting both phones are similar...

It exactly the same style as the 3G icon except its a 'H' instead. I think its a different colour aswell but can't remember. I've only had it twice on mine, in Norwich and I think the second time was in Manchester. I can't get it at home in Sheffield.

Did anyone notice that DaVinci are saying they have R1DA039 firmware on their servers? How long has that been out? It's only on '3' but it's there.
