Im sure SE will release their bug-free Firmware on thursday or friday, as the last 2 firmwares were released those days.... Im not sure.... Does SE really read this forum? Its just another fan-based website to them is it not?

Hi, I recieved today an e-mail from SE support center and they write me that latest firmware for generic K850i is R1DA038. What a strange thing, SEUS shows me- Your firmware is latest- R1CA037 no need update!

Maybe it's taking so long for the new FW to be released, because they ARE reading this forum and realizing they have a lot of work to do. More than they had thought.

then try using SEUS, on the SE website.

It that doesnt allow you to get the update, then it might not be available in your area.

Hi all,

I am using my k850 to watch tv shows. I am encoding my shows using SUPER from erightsoft and they playback perfect on my phone. But when I try to use my bluetooh handsfree set, the movie slows down and the audio gets out of sync. Does anybody else have this problem?

Posted by Sciha
dont know if this is a bug or what, my firmware is RICA037 and i'm using a flash .swf as wallpaper and screen saver. I've noticed that when the flash appl is stored at memory card and used it as a wallpaper then turn the phone off then on again the flash wallpaper didn't appear but the flash screensaver did restored . but when I tried placing that flash into the phone memory on any folder; picture/others and used it again as wallpaper and screen saver then turn off then on the phone it loads up.
maybe the phone is having problem loading the flash as wallpaper when stored in mmc when starting up.

@sciha

Yes have the same problem...

Lets see... If it gets solved in next firmy...
Guys another thing..it seems even in 037 there is a battery problem...
But when i use gprs it gets drained so fast...
Other time..its ok..

for me it's OK when I use data connection and I use HSDPA which consumes more battery than GPRS...a full battery it's enough for aprox 6 hours of browsing, which is better than my old K800i

@neveensiva
do you have RICA037 also? thanks for the good observation =) righ now I've placed all my wallpaper used flash on the phone memory so that i would always reappear when i turn off my pone.

the battery drains faster when in 3G because the phones always sarches for a signal.

Im pretty certain The New FW is coming out this friday, or Monday next week. MAX. (Or on weekends, but that is highly unlikely) . If it dont come den, you can shoot me dead.

Posted by Sebby
What makes you so sure?

Posted by Mizzle
My guess is that could be adding more features to the next K850 firmware or another upcoming one - i.e. the location features.

@Sebby

He is going to die else

Nice to see that many of you are optimistic! I believe that we'll have to wait to at least the end of next week. Or just maybe even the week after that. SE takes it's sweet time! That's ok IF the firmware is really good!
Hm it better be!!

Get Mp3 gain and tweek the gain/volume on your mp3:s. It does the trick! You can set whatever increase of gain/volume you want. And also set all songs to have similar volume! Older recordings sometimes needs at little pumping up volumewise you know.

You're right! I'm unemployed so i can sit here all night. I got nothing better to do with my life...apparently...sad

Posted by darrengf
Well i need my beauty sleep now.

Lets hope that the SE people magicaly update the servers over night.

Ok i will dream of this and tomorrow wake up in the real world and still have my old 038 firmware.

lol

Posted by Togan
guys, someone on this thread on the first page said that after you update your fw to 38 its best to do a master reset, i did that and i lost 5 themes, a few ringtons, one application, 3 games, and my hopes from se, is there anyway i could get them back?

time travel?

next time save them onto your memory card b4 master reset....

Posted by lun4r
my wild guess is the new FW will be released on friday, either this friday or next friday, since friday is a specific day companies usually release new patch on...

hopefully it will be this friday, uurrghhh can't wait much longer, c'mon SE, give us your best shot....

Posted by fullforce
Well not this friday then..maybe next friday. I think they have their work cut out for them so it will take (to much) time.

It's really boaring to waiting for bug fix firmware...
I don't think that SE monitor this site... all of their SE centre staffs are like salary theaf.. They must respect what customers want!

Maybe we are maniac or otaku...???

Anyway, when QuickSliver version will launch?
I prefre buy that one, instead of waiting this stupid firmware.

I personally don't see that as an excuse, as this firmware was probably in development even as the phone went to release.

Posted by fullforce
Well i agree. I just pointed out that they might have their priorities set that way...and it's off course to "weak". Everything feels like it's done with a huge backlog and in almost panic. But as you know- we, the customers, are the beta testers.

Posted by yashen
Come on everyone...

Do you want them to rush with the firmware and send out one with more bugs because they released it too early?

Leave SE alone to finish the firmware.

They said the firmware will be available in Jan 08. That means it could well come on the 31st of Jan 2008... It's not that far away.

I'm running R1CA037 on a generic and the only issue I have with my phone is that it is a bit slow.

There are no problems taking photo's, no flashburn etc... read the forums and you will learn how to setup your phone properly.

Have a nice day.

Yashen is right! We should all learn to live with the bugs, or find work arounds for them
