Thx Pedrops!!! I now testing the HPM70 V2.

Posted by genus
The HPM70 seem better than the High5 one when i tested on speaker.
The HPM70 for electronic guitar sound seem a bit higher, but overall, bass done better and voice sound are clear.

Posted by morpheus78
for hpm62 what i shall use?

Posted by zirkie101
Splendid! Good handiwork Pedrops. I used ur EQ settings w/ headphones and musac sounds awesome. Almost like I'm listening to a CD @ some music shop before buying it. As for the good ol' backspeaker, I think that's about as much juice as one can squeeze through it - sounds good. Call quality - excellent. FM Radio also good (more bass). Thx man!

Posted by norbi_nw
they sound good, but nout as loud as the v2 beta megabass.

Posted by xan K
nice! trying them right now!

Posted by kuratinja
wow v2...thanks pete....i will try it ....

Posted by number1
i tryed v2 for HPM70 users [more bass, bit more treble] on my hpm-70

5/10 quality: disorted on max volume, not really a high quality sound, was ok on the 7th bar but nothing speacial w880i oringals still better, the sound didn't even sound very well balanced.
7/10 bass: what happened to megabass???, just increasing the bass on the bass eq is rubbish it seems to reck the quality and causes disortion, yea there more bass than standard acoustics but the bass on the bass eq is seriously crap it needs megabass, megabass doesn't have to be powerful it provides nice flowing bass, unlike the bass eq.
8/10 loudness: lounder than most zapf acoustics but not as loud as 1, overall loundness was fine.
8/10 clearness: not as clear as 1.1, it's still clearer than the standard w880i acoustics which is good.

overall: what happened to megabass, don't enchance the bass on the bass eq cause it provides more bass but u lose quality.

i did try all 3 packs on the first post, my favourite was the beta.

backspeaker

quality:10/10, nothing wrong with the quality it sounded nice no disortion very balanced.
bass: 7/10, don't expect much but the oringal w880i had more
loudness 6/10, not as loud as the w880i oringals
clearness 8/10, it was very clear sound for the speaker

Posted by ginryu
well i try the 1st two pack's i have a k550 flashed to w610 and i'm also using hpm-62 and the hi-fi one sounds better to me well of course the backspeker sound's better with the v1.1 the call's sounds a little less louder but sounds more clear it's good but still neds work to do it

anyway it's good

EP 630 Headphones, Hifi V2 version, latest firmware :

9/10 Quality: Awesome! I can hear everything clearly and instruments are easy to separate, very pleasant to listen to!
8/10 Bass: I like the bass but it seems to be lacking a bit of resolution, then again I haven't listened to any bass heavy album.
10/10 Loudness: I turned it up 2 dots in the train today and discovered it was only at 3 dots and blocking all outside sound, much better than the W880i Acoustics
10/10 Clearness: See Quality Haven't tried any audio books yet though.

I will compare it to my Laptop (Intel HDA audio) and iPod soon

Back speaker :

Quality:10/10 : nothing wrong with the quality it sounded nice no distortion very balanced.
Bass: 9/10 : can't expect any bass from a speaker of that size
Loudness 8/10 : Pretty dam good, however ring tones are very soft, perhaps you can make those a bit louder, I couldn't care any less about the quality of my ring tones as long as I can hear them
Clearness 10/10 : Pretty Dam Good

So, Pedrops. Having received all this feedback, what's the future of Peter's acoustic (what can one expect), or do the future versions (if any) depend mainly on the feedback you get from us?

Posted by burner8
@Perdrops: i wanna give the biggest respect, for your invested time and work.

Your drivers are all great.

It is a good idea to give us 3 drivers to choose.
So everybody of us can choose the best for him.
Ererybody has an other hear and listen another music.
And so you give everybody a chance to get the best.
Keep On.

I use a sony InEar and i prefer your U-Bass Beta. The Bass is clear and the rest of the sound is clear too in the same time.
Now i can let my ipod at home. Thank you.

The HIFI driver is good for big HIFI headers or CAR HIFI

@pedrops
I've tried many acoustic driver before, and found your V2 acoustic is undreamed-of-acoustic driver for my K800.
Now when listen to any song, i can feel my earphone (i'm using Victor ear clip phone which has much bass) is full with instruments and i can distinguish each kind of instrument due to V2's excellent clearness.
The treble in V2 is at very high frequency (called super treble), so it won't make my ear annoyed even when i raise the 5th column of equalizer to max. V2's treble is very nice to me.
But i prefer your Ultrabass beta, hope that you can develop it to become final Ultrabass. Now using Ultrabass, i have to raise 3 bars for the mid column (3rd one) in equalizer to make the sound suit my taste.
Thanks very much for your great work.

I do see the HPM70 is better than the high5 one, i test on my surround speaker....

THe ultrabass, in my opinion, got bass but the sound not so good like in HPM70.

Posted by xan K
I can say I like this one. I've tried the HPM70 version and it's so clear and detailed. Only problem is that it kinda distort when blasted at full volume. It isn't as neutral as v1.1 (I liked that), but this version suits little HMP-70 very well. Thank you for your great effort! and... keep it up!

if you like a very LOUD backspeaker sound, use ego's farfield.
you can read and download here:

i've tried ego_farfield very loud but it produce crackling sound..too bad that the loudspeaker cant handle the acoustic.

ei there notoryuz!

its the farfield_play.* is i think the files you are looking for...

there is a set of file that has farfield names written, those are the acoustics responsible for your back speaker.

ciao!

Would be nice if you could put in some hard yards where the back speaker is concerned. I've mixed some files into ur v2 @ the backspeaker now kicks more ass.

Zirkie101, a little more kick into v2? That is great. Backspeaker is lacking in out right volume compared to v1.1. Acoustics is crisp and treble is perfect. Using the music player to play songs on the backspeaker yielded greater volume with excellent acoustics compared to V1.1. Only if V.1.1 volume was integrated with V.2 clear distortion free acoustics for backspeaker then it would be great. Pedrops have you analyzed aforementioned before? Pedrops, the call volume for earpiece on phone is lower then your previous "Loud" version. I'm use to the Loud version.
Thanks in advance.

After i try for a much long period, in my opinion, i choose the Hifi acoustic pack, i think it is much better and soft bass as compare to HPM70 as using the flat equilizer ( normal )

HPM70 is less bass and the sound quite noisy. Where the Hifi not as "clean" as the HPM70 ( maybe due to speaker or little broken background sound that hard to detect ), but overall it give like high5 sound when i test using this:

I'm yet to go through the troubles of getting online storage, so I'll tell you what & where. Where: Look through threads in "Customising" @ Sense - MasterJP started a thread there in which he posted an acoustic mix. What: I've used 2 of Ego's farfield files in Peter's v2 (HPM70) mod and the backspeaker is now literally screaming! Go ahead and see what you think. I hope PedroPS will give this issue some attention in future versions (hopefully) to come. If you can't find the acoustics, Burner 8, then I shall gladly go through the troubles of uploading it. Now I've gotta go work. Doh!!!

Thanks for the review. How do would you compare them (HiFi vs HPM70) when played on our beloved HPM70 earphones?

Posted by zirkie101
Here's the link to the acoustic I was referring to in my previous post "http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=16789&st=0&start=0".

Posted by genus
Hifi not as clear as HPM70 when using earphone, but when using speaker or woofer to play, it is louder than HMP70 because it has more bass.

Posted by xan K
ok, just what I suspected.

Actually its pretty limited my options... the real change might be in MAIN part...
What I'm doing a great research is about acoustics compensations strings... there might be the secrect to get a perfect sound... but only SE knows how that string works!

HiFi is softer and better equalized for high definitions systems.. while HPM70 can produce more bass and treble to fit HPM70 characteristics

impressive.... ill try it out with other stereo BT.
