lol

I think that next week we're gonna eat a lot of rosbeef

Wilkinson won't be enough this time to win a second title...

I think final will be France Vs Argentina

Posted by carkitter
That ref should be shot! I'd hit him with his white cane. First he falls for a swan dive the likes of which I've not seen since the Soccer World Cup and sends our try-scorer to the sin bin... then he misses a blatant forward pass which turns the game! We were robbed...

ermm

try England - SA or possibly Fiji...

Posted by taikira
@ Carkitter:

sorry, you weren't robbed. The referees made mistakes against the two teams. Just before the second french try, szarzewski made a big hit on NZ player, wich causes a forward ball (I'm sorry, I don't know the rugby words in english) against all blacks, but ref let play, and then your team gained 50 meters. That was a big and dangerous advantage for you, and this was not the only one during the game.

You now, dude, I'm French, and as every french rugby fan I have a deep respect for All Blacks.
But I'm sorry, you lost the game not because of referee, but because you didn't play your best rugby. That's all.

@ Fatreg

I think Dallaglio, Robinson and other grand-fathers of UK rugby will be retired next week-end... the Wilkinson hunting season is open for Betsen and Chabal. This gonna be a slaughter

That chap is a proper monster..

also.. little worried about your dominici and michelak... they are both able to create trouble, but the mighty rose will reign!!

Posted by taikira
You talk about Chabal, but believe me, don't forget Betsen, who always made fantastic games against the rose's XV.

"The Butcher" is a great impact player, but "Black panther" is a marvellous defender, and a #10 killer.

And regarding the backs, watch out for Poitrenaud, the perfect player to spread fire into your defense

I'm not aware of the incident you mention but it adds weight to my criticism of the ref and his negative influence on the game.

I agree that we didn't play our best rugby. This was partially because of French offside play and that went unpunished and causing turnovers by playing the ball on the ground in rucks. When we went one man down against OZ in the Tri-nations in Sydney this year, we conceded two tries and lost by five points. In Cardiff the AB's visibly went defensive during this time and conceded only one try while losing by two points after a 'dodgy' try to Le Blues. I'd say that's an improvement of sorts.

The Poms, the Jaappies and the Pumas are all capable of beating the French on any given day. Can't see France going much further TBH.

C'mon, let me laugh

If the blacks had to play a little bit more instead of paying attention to their hair and adidas ads, maybe they would have been winners against France.
We were prepared to die on the playground, not you. That's all.

And even if Pumas or any other team can beat France, we can beat any team in the world. Remember twinckenham '99, my bro

And who are the current world champs??

Posted by leeboy13
ok, judging on englands performances so far, they donot deserve to win.... alike, the all blacks didnt either....

i personally would like to see the argies win it!!! put the best performance of the owrld cup in the opening match and have failed to dissapoint me since....

England didnt even play that well agains oz in all fairness... just my opinion

Start counting the remaining days of your title, man

i personally would like to see the argies win it!!!

I'd like to. just to say a big "f**k off" to all those old politicians who are governing IRB and VI's tournament...

Well England finally got their arses in gear against the Aussies, Victory against France IS a real possibility, In reality the English don't give a stuff about rugby, yet in Wales it's more importent than religion, despite the fact that Wales have collapsed since Charlotte Churches partner stopped playing.

Posted by carkitter
Well whoever wins it will lose to the All Blacks next time they meet anyway.
England have a shocking record since they won in 2003. The Wallabies forward pack have been useless all season and England just proved it. I like the Pumas but the only top tier nation they've beaten in recent years is France. South Africa have won all their previous 12 encounters with Argentina and should go on to win this tournament so long as they don't get wrapped up in the hype which dogged the All Blacks.

In the 42 AB games between the 2003 and 2007 tournaments NZ won 38 losing 3 times to SA and once to OZ - no other team can come close to that. We thrashed the British and Irish Lions and completed the Grand Slam in 2005. We hold the all the annual Cups we compete for. After the World Cup, it'll be business as usual.

I just can't believe that!

How did we manage to be so bad on the playground? Incredible...
Well, I saw just few parts of the match (fireman inside), so I won't say anything about english team, but I just can't understand how is it possible for France to unplay it's rugby the way they did...

Go Argentina, go!!!!

I certainly prefer to see a latin team to be world champ...

My purpose is not against english people, but I hate the game developped by England (and also the one played by S-A). I prefer open game, like pacific or celtics teams.

May I just remind you who invented the game in the first place??

Posted by taikira
May I just remember you that webb ellis invented because he wanted to unlock the game?

Being inventors of something doesn't mean that you practice it in an interesting way... or even in the most performing way (in that case, england would be for example the best tennis or football nation in the world... )

England invented rugby. Other nations gave this sport is color.

South Africa all the way. Can't see how Argentina can beat us in a match when they couldn't do it on 12 previous occassions. Should they come close they'll to throw everything at our forwards and run at the SA tryline like a bunch of fleeing convicts.

Posted by fatreg
guess we'll find out in an hour Brix25

All i know is one tanked up English team will be waiting for the winners of tonights match next week and at Le Stade de France...

Posted by Kryptik
We'll be seeing you next weekend, England

Posted by fatreg
and we'll be fighting like dogs to keep our title..

bring it KSA!

Posted by Kryptik
Those Argies played their hearts out tonight, really gave it their all.

Bokke! Bokke! Well done, Springboks!

A resurgent England against SA; let's hope it's a cracking final on Saturday.

Posted by brix25
Looking forward to the Boks finally nailing the English next weekend. I can't stand fairweather English fans who've jumped on the bandwagon when they sniffed another RWC victory- but it ain't going to happen.

Posted by fatreg
you wanna bet brix?

you may well have cained us 6 weeks ago, but that was 6 eeks ago, things chance, granted even runnig up to the cup we didn't play that well at all, lots of inexperienced players but it's all turned out good again

36 - 0 to SA again!!

Ok its 2 weeks ago but hahaha still cracks me up!!

Q. What do you do for a drowning New Zealand Rugby player?
A. Nothing. You could drag him to the top, but he'll choke anyway.

===========================

Q. What's the difference between the All blacks and an arsonist?
A. An arsonist wouldn't waste 5 matches.

============================
Did you hear that the Post Office has had to recall their latest stamps?
They had pictures of the All Blacks players on them.
People couldn't figure out which side to spit on.

============================

Did you hear about the politician who was found dead in an All Black
jersey?
The police had to dress him up in women's underwear in order to save his
family from the embarrassment.

============================

Four surgeons are taking a coffee break. The first one says,
"Accountants are the best to operate on because when you open them up
everything inside them is numbered."
The second surgeon says, "Nah, librarians are the best; everything
inside them is in alphabetical order."
The third surgeon says, "Try electricians. Everything inside them is
colour-coded."
The fourth one says, "I prefer New Zealand Rugby players. They're
heartless, spineless, gutless and their heads and bums are
interchangeable."

============================

A man meets a friend and sees that his friend's car is total write-off
and covered with leaves, grass, branches, dirt and blood.
He asks his friend "What's happened to your car ?"
"Well," the friend responds, "I ran over Richie McCaw".
"OK," says the man, "that explains the blood... But what about the
leaves, the grass, the branches and the dirt ?"
"Well, he tried to escape through the park."

============================

Q. What do you have when the All Blacks are buried up to their necks in sand?
A. Not enough sand.

============================

Q. What's the difference between a dead dog on the road and a dead All
Black player on the road?
A. There are skid marks in front of the dog.

roflmao!!! Don't forget about the fact that their coaches will henceforth share a room at the next RWC, so that one can perform the Heimlich Maneuvre on the other when he starts to choke

Posted by lamont
England cant lose, we didnt win in the quarters and semis to lose in the final, thats just not Britain (i dont think)

Posted by MWEB
Talk about peaking at the right time , SA beat nobodies in the QF and SF, England beat Australia and France when it counted. i'm with Lamont, English grit and determination will win out!!

And right before the Quarters and Semis? The previous 37-0 Pool drubbing may not mean much, but looking back at England's recent performances against South Africa one can't help but wonder whether Dr.H.H. doesn't play some significant role...

Posted by nicv27
South Africa coach Jake White has today said the earlier game will have no bearing on the upcoming final, Partly due to the return of Johnny wilkinson as he believes England are a better team with him, but more so the fact England seem to have found some new belief.
But from an English point of view after 4 extremly poor years and some terrible results England seem to have finally realised they dont play exciting rugby like the all blacks they just need to do what they did aganist the Aussies and French and bully them and work their Ass@s off
COME ON ENGLAND JUST ONE MORE WIN
