Personally, IMO this is a device destined for failure.

Failure? In what way? Sales?

I don't think Samsung or B&O expect to sell bucketloads of this phone - rather it is a statement in design.

I don't see how they could fail with a handset as niche as this as it will have its fans like the last one did.

Posted by QVGA
Not sure, but the last one didnt sell as well as samsung hoped.

I don't think anything would sell as much as Samsung would hope for

I actually don't mind the design; its a bit strange having the scrollwheel 'above' the display and the overall appearance OK I suppose, but I can see why it wouldn't appeal to those used to more conventional designs.

also, where's the keypad? I suppose all functions are done through the wheel.

who would buy this?

No thats BS. That ICE thing is used in U600, U700 and a couple more samsung phone and its merely to increase volume output.

Hi all,

Also the docking station has outputs to plug in to your Home HiFi or any other system, and i very much doubt this product will be the same as the other Samsung devices it will be a cut above the rest.

As B&O would not in any way put there name to a product that would not live up to it's reputation and this is B&O products first and foremost so it will be expensive but you will get what you pay for.

Hi all,

In January's issue of STUFF magazine they have this as one of their Hot Picks but with an expected price tag of £1,000. Which seems quite expensive to me even if it is B&O.

At least they are doing something new.

Whether its ugly or beautiful, making bucket sales or a big market flop, still it will remain as samsung, a company of vastly diversified products. Never afraid of venturing into new lines of products. Nor this will give them a big plus or a minus in the short or long run period.

Its for those who are willing to give it a try. Surely, its a product of art, innovation, promising to deliver great things.

For me, this is more of an MP3 than a phone. Something that will surely demand attention coz an mp3 player is actually capable of calling.
