went out for lunch to one of my local pubs
this was a quick whip it out of pocket, point and click. no messing about framing or playing with settings (all default auto settings)

I'm not unhappy with this and unlike some people on here who think phone cameras are just for fun I see no reason why pics like this wouldn't have a place in most peoples albums

some people are just way too fussy! as phone cams get better people just expect more!

very good picture, (full size picture 2592 x 1944 (800 x 600) ..you see how detailed a 5 M.P picture realy gets.
here how it looks shrinked, (you see it still looks good unshrinked)

spårvagn..(not the best sharpness.....but still ok)

have you use photo shop on the second picture ??? (the colors is awesome)

Posted by abbafan1972
Darkmagician, I click on your links and they just never load.

Posted by DarKMaGiCiaN
@plankgatan
in the second and the third pics I used the photo dj
usually I use poto dj for the pic that I think it can be better if I make the pic more vivid like the green shots or sun set ^_^

by the way photo dj is powerfull tool specially the auto color correction ^_^

@abbafan1972
Right click and select show picture ^_^ i'll post the full size ones ASAP ^_^

Do you mean that you get better colours if you put your shots through photo fix?

I´m in Kalmar town right in the south of Sweden now. Hm i got to work on the bleached look in the shots- ISO settings maybe? But in my defence i have to say the weather war really gray.

@*Jojo*
if you know how to deal with your camera in proper way then you put your magic on the pic
and my best example is plankgatan look to his pics it is just owesome

Posted by ryanchg
@fullforce, it's photoDJ not photofix.. it allows your to edit the contrast/brightness and colors for ur photos

taken today at about 3pm. Sun was shining, but not too much, clouds were out too. Curtain half open only, so daylight was not coming in fully. Note the mesh on slide door, pics it up well....

Pic of my sisters rabbit:

these are a couple of my first photos taken, took both on auto. What do people think of the quality? (i will play round with iso etc at a later date....)

Some of the pics I took while playing around
How do you like them?
Taken with Iso-100 or 200

Posted by marinedisco
@crusifi
The 1st and 3rd look great!! The 2nd looks like the camera was shakking but still not too bad.

Posted by CruSifiXken
This one is the same as in the post above, but edited with PhotoDJ

2 statues from my granny's place

@CruSifiXken
My girlfriend went like- "ahhhh that's sooo cute", when she saw that cat
I fiddled with the ISO settting and when taking a shot indoors with very poor lightning. I set the ISO to 400 and there was a huge difference in the colours (a took a shot of two persons). The colour looked much more vivid and real then the shoot o took just before with auot settings. So once again- use the settings! I will try this with the ISO settings today and see if i can't get that, often present "white haze"that appears when shooting outdoors, dissapear.

Some first shots

Actually I would prefer photofix to photo DJ. In an instant photofix will give me really nice results, but for photoDJ the auto level is not as good as photofix, only it has more functions to play around with.

From my own experience, Photofix always 'over-lightens' *If you know what I mean, too much whiteness* the picture...

Now,to increase the cuteness-level even more!

Today I went to choose a puppy, that will join our family the 17th of December

What do you guys think?

@zootzoot, try zooming x2 before snapping that shot, it's overexposed by the flash.

A new autumn pic from me...

What could I have done different?

Posted by fullforce
@p!xarus
I don't know how you should done anything different. It's not easy to get thet kind of shot super good because you got different types of light and motifes that's in different range. Nice one!

Well my girlfriend, and friends for that matter, are getting itred of me running around taking shot on everything all the time:)
Why don't we start a club- "The cyber shot freaks"! Only cyber branded phones allowed off course!

These to are runned through photo DJ
but they where good g´berore that:)
This one-best pic

I'm so happy that this phone can reproduce the colours red and blue in a perfect way. I was getting mad at my N73 who failed misserably in that area.

the light on the object is A & O........(special with cell phone cameras)...if the light is right, it realy easy to create a picture with good sharpness.

sitting right now on a Hotel in Stockholm..(holiday in the sun
have been taken some realy nice pictures beside the water....show them tomorow..(have only Pernillas laptop with mobile 3G broadband)

A photo related question..actually two:

Why does the phone(at least mine) change or fade the picture to a softer version of the shot when you start viewing your pics? It starts "remaking" the shot from the top and then contiunes down. I don't know if it does thies with every pic you are viewing but it does it often.
And why does the shots you have taken and put as background pic on your phone look like a fuzzu blurry pic? I mean the display CAN display sharp pics, so why doesn't it? It might not be so much noticable on other shots then macro ones...i don't know.
Any one else noticed this?

it does this when you view in landscape on all pictures but not in portrait view.

Yes it probably does. A pitty but it doesn't matter that much.

But why the phone won't display a pic in good and sharp quality as a background pic is a real pitty!

Here's mine again after some editing in PhotoDJ:

Looks better than before:

What do you guys think?

Well i think that it's often a good idea to put the shot through photo dj. It adds some colour. What do you say? Whitch shot are more close to the real thing in terms of colour and so on?

Posted by goldenface
You mean photofix for photoDJ. I thought PhotoDJ was something else altogether.

Great pics though.

Nope. There is only Photo DJ. And you fix your photo in that program- manually or using the different tyep of settings and effects. I prefer just using the "autofix" and be done with it I do miss the obtion you had in my nokiaN73 . There you also could "sharpen" the pic(not just contrast).

Well I did the auto-levels on PhotoDJ, then increased the contrast a few notches and also the colour. I think it definitely makes the photo sharper as the original one looks a bit 'white-washed'.

Yes thats the "problem" that the shots get "white-washed" when you take them with auto-mode. One wants to get the shots as close to the real thing as possible off course. I would like to have the option "sharpen" as i had in my nokia. But hey, i'm not complaining! It's going to take a little while before one knows how to get the best out of the camera. But it's fun to learn!
