Eeuuuuu. That first dish doesn't look tasty...is it a snail?
But your shots are very good!

Posted by ryanchg
@plankgatan, would love to try out swedish dishes one day! hehe.. and yup i added frames with Photoshop.

@fullforce, no it's not snail, it's fish and gosh i must say it's very tender and sweet.. although it might look slightly gross.. lol

I'm impressed how the camera can take really decent shots through glass.
I you look at the bottom of the shot you can see what theese two cuddly toys are named but i don't know if i dare to translate what it means. You guys from scandinavia will understand it anyway.

My pub. It says: The pub america. I made this shot dark on purpose.

@fullforce, nicely shot and yeah the quality of the K850i isn't that bad, actually rumors made it sound bad but serious you people out there need to get yourself a set and try it out. So whats Kiss&Bajs? looks like poo and pee to me

and particular reason why you darken the 2nd pic? hehehehe...

Posted by fullforce
@ryanchg
Haha no the truth is i tried several shots under different settings and i liked this one even though i was dark and murky. It's a "mood shot" you see

Yes! That's the correct translation from "kiss och bajs"- pee and poo. I have no idea why they are selling those. I think the small ones at the bottom of the shot, costs 30 euro! Well...

Posted by ryanchg
I edited this picture using in phone PhotoDJ.

Another daylight shot no edit.

Posted by fullforce
@ryanchg
Really nice!
So you where a bit drunk when you took that palmtree shot? Hence the tilting

It's getting darker and darker up here now so we like lights in any shape.

Too bad i wasn't drunk, if i'm drunk i think the pictures will turn out upside down

here are my best pictures so far!

on the picture of the red flower is a small insect, I didn't see it while taking the shot, otherwise, I would have captured it too! Personally, I'm very satisfied with what the K850i CAN do if you use it properly and have good conditions. The pictures have great colors, no noise, etc. I think you can't demand more from a cell phone. I seriously doubt, that a mid range digital camera can do better on these pics. If you print out these photos in standard picture album size, you won't hardly see any difference between the K850i and a designated digital camera and this ability is really impressive for a cell phone!!

I like the first linked picture the most, in fact, it looks so good, that SE should use it as an example shot on their official cybershot cell phone website

@ plangkatan looks like you have a competitor in me LOL ...just kidding I would love to hear your opinion on these pics

Posted by fullforce
Really nice ones! That's good swedish-japaneese enginering for you!

@ryanchg
Well you shouldn't go out with your K850 if you party. I use my old K700 at those ocassions when the evening is at risk at getting "wet".
I really like pamltrees- where in asia do you live?

Posted by ryanchg
@fullforce, whats that light thingy you toke? Is that something to decorate your home with?
I'm from Malaysia and you'll get to see lots and lots of palmtrees here.

Posted by fullforce
Aha! Here you get to see a lot of pinetrees:)
The latest pic is actually from a office window. It's some kind of light ball arrangement, about 40 centimeters i diameter.

Very off topic: do you guys have distorted sound reoucuring in some calls? I get them in calls where the sound is a little higher/better. I spoke to a guy in another forum and he said ha got it and got he's phone exchanged. I don't know if i feel like leave it to the shop again(cleaned my lens at SE care center yesterday) and one can just lower the volume and the the bad sound goes away. It's a bit annoying since the phone is brand new. I have had it for more than one week so i can't just get a new one on DOA.

joj, dont forget, that a cam fone never offers u the same quality as a real digi cam ( atm ) thses fone cams are ok for fun, but thats it

@boba - Nope, I don't MEAN that dude . . . it's WHY majority of the K850-owners here does NOT know how to use their camfones the right way - plank's SURE manages how to USE/get the FULL-potential of his K850 when taking those images

Well, I'll just keep this thread rollin' for more quality images to be uploaded . . . I'm awaiting for those SCARY-shots as the Halloween season is just around the corner !

Posted by razec
I would love to see ghost pictures Jojo!!!

Posted by fullforce
This is my favorite shot of the ones i took today/tonight. I used auto and pulled down light sensivity to the lowest level. The lamp hangs in a outdoor cealing.

The shot looks even better in larger size.

this thread is really heating up... cheers, mates!

Another one from work - all settings "auto".

Sorry, that I put my question on this thread, but I don't know wich of the threads is the most visited.
So I have two or three questions:
It is true that the screen show distortion in case of pressure, or when you press the 'C' like the claculators and computers screen? Seriously i haven't seen ever something like this on a phone, I think and I hope it's not true because the scren is covered by a kind of plastic glass.

The File Manager is placed really in Organizer? I think that the Alarm setting was on a good place in the organizer and the File manager in main menu too. So I used only Ericsson, or Sony ericsson phones, but on the simulator from Sony Ericsson's web page I could finf it hardly. It is important for me, because I use more often the file manager than the media player. New software variations could place it back to the main menu?

And finally the flash. In plankgatan's thread of flash pictures with k850 he said that the flash is good, but it doesn't actions every time the way he want, and he reported it to SonyEricsson, and they confirmed something about this, and they going to fix the problem. But if they fix the problem, the software update via the phone how much traffic of data includes? Because in my case I should pay 1$ for each downloaded MB, and I find it a little bit expensive. If it needs to download 20MB for example, it would be much for me. But if the uprade would be just few KB or 1-2 MB, it would be OK. Some of you have ever used this feature on K850 or another Sony Ericsson phone. I have a K750 and it don't have this feature.

Once again Sorry that I put my questions here but in the topic hints, tips and questions write a lot of paranoiac people, and they write a lot of exagerrated things.

Macro mode on, no flash, ISO 100.

Posted by tai020381
I found out that when you switched ON stabilizer, the ISO tend to go up, resulting in brighter photos, MORE jagged edges. Also, if you turned ON stabiliaer, whatever EV you set it will be the same even though you manually set it and the phone displays the EV.

???????????????

the last section sounds very strange !!!!!

Posted by AbuBasim
Makes sense. If stabilizer is not mechanical shifting of sensor or lens, but only to shorten the exposure time by boosting the ISO, then exposure compensation (EV) will probably be overridden.

Posted by adamnguyen
This is what I took with mine...It was too close with red eye so the quality is horrible.

Posted by AbuBasim
@adamnguyen:

Looks like you didn't care about selling your old phone
Or did you have an "accident" so you didn't have any choice and "had" to buy a new phone straight away?

Posted by tai020381
You do not need a red-eye for that picture. Red eye is for taking photos with humans in the dark as the extra flash is to reduce the size of their cornea so as to expose lesser of the "red blood cells"? (pardon me)

Hmmm... If you have the time see this page, go to thread no. 14 These pictures were taken with stabilizer ON, with different ISO settings. Not much difference I can see.

why dont you guys load the actual photos jpg taken to imageshack or something like that. Photos of K850 here are reduced 8x in size compared to original. Any crap 5M would look decent after such reduction in size. And also why is the reduced size pict in *.bmp format??

So you mean if a mobile phone takes dark underexposed night pics it will look bright when scaled smaller? you're pretty persistent with defending your N95 mate

So are you saying that plankgatan is so stupid that he will want to post underexposed night pics (i.e when k850 flash misfired ) here?? Think about the co-relation.

Posted by plankgatan
so what did you guys thought about the quality from the indoor video

-----------------------------------------------------------
k850 have a better allround camera then N95........thats it.

ps....(i have showed you guys unshrinked pics before)....search and you will find....
