Finally I got my k850 yesterday...
And today I finally got some time to play with it, and take some shots of the autumn her in norway

Oops o_O
Posted in fullsize... Will remember to shrink them a bit next time.

Helluuu!
So i was away today to my neighbouir town-Norrköping(för tjyven!) to get the dust taken out of my camera housing. And i have to say that the have top noch service there. For 19:50 Euro you will get you phone taken care of within 3 hours(that's if you have a legit warranty claim) So now my phone is clean!

Most shots are taken without any special settings.
On my way to the SE care centre...don't take shots towards the sun!

On my way back to the train home. There was a market there but without any people..hm?

Should have adjusted the light a bit there.

The camera does a nice job in balancing the different types of light settings in the shot.

Yes, in case you have missed it: We do have autum here up in the north So please bring on the palmtree shots!

Sorry to step in your photo-turf plankgatan!

So, Norrköping is the neighboring town to your place? So where do you live? I grew up in Finspång myself. Typical bonnhåla and has given me a strong östgötadialekt which makes me sound like a bonnläpp.

Posted by plankgatan
@fullforce..så du var på mobilakuten eller ???? ive been walking beside that waterfall many times ..he he

guys, nice outdoor pics,,,but they can be better...(use ISO + manual whitness balance A LOT)...gives better colors & light....

its a big day for my hometown Norrköping.
IFK Norköping:
the Junior team won SM gold
the Senior team went up to Allsvenskan (there they belong

@p!xarus Thanks! And as plankgatan says one should try the individual settings more to maximize the overall quality in the shots.

@AbuBasim I live in Linköping. So iv'e been to Finspång several times!
In Linköping we have a big fat curch:

I build it myself last summer

Neat huh!?
Here you can see that it's not easy to get a good shot with two very different kind of light settings in one and the same shot.
This shot(below) i like. Not because it's a good quality shot but because of the effects the light produces. Look at the long shadows the tree's cast and the light that comes directly from the sun.

Gratulerer (congratulations in norwegian)

@ fullforce
Yeah I will take more photos tomorow with some fiddling with the camera setting. But first I have to charge my battery

Hopefully it will not by as cloudy and boring wheater as today

Posting one more pic, hopefully it will fit better with size

Now then??

Yess, finally

Nice shot that one! If you still have it in your phone, try to run it through in photo fix and see if it might brighten it up a little. Then it will be absolutely perfect! Where do you live? I've only been to Molde.

Ive took some pics of sweets that i got my self today. A nice big tub for a Tenner

The first pic was taken with the light on in my room

The next pic was taken in in pitch black

The next pic was taken in macro mode in with the light on

The next pic was taken in macro mode in pitch black again

The next pic was taken macro with the light on at the lid of the bucket of sweets

The next pic was taken macro in picth black at the lid of the bucket of sweets

Now the reason why i have chosed sweets, (not becuase i like them) but to show you the colours on how the camera has picked them up.

The colours with macro are stunning and the first 2 that are shown do look dark with the light on or of in the room.

I will let you judge for your self.

Posted by fullforce
Bit of a sweet tooth are you eyh? Really nice colours!

It was to show you that the camera can take a varity of colours even with a flash back from the Dark Visor.

First one was taken with again the light on

The Next one in picth black

The next one with the light on

and the last one in picth black again

Not bad Eh !!

By the way. When i use the flash on all pics i switch my phone on to anti redeye. Its seems to take much better shots that just one flash.

okay, here we go! I got my K850i finally today (in green of course ) really nice phone but very hard to get here in the US! It's not even out, I had to buy it from a website, it was shipped from Hongkong, but it is all fine, the manual is in English and the phone as several languages inside (Englisch, French, German (my mother tounge) etc. I took some shoots today, here are two o of them (all in automatic, I try the manual settings sometime later)

Posted by darrengf
@drsoran2

Does it pick the networks ok in USA and if you are on At&T if you live in the area, do you get a 3g signal?

Well i'm unemployed at the moment. So it's a question of cold hard dineros.
But i would really like to go there again! My favorite beer was actually soberana

Posted by drsoran2
@darrengf

It does pick up the networks, but the only signal I get is from AT&T, maybe because my SIM is from them. Yes, I'm on AT&T, but I don't get a 3G signal (just tried), only EDGE. But I can say that the K850i has a much better reception than my Samsung D830 which I had until yesterday. The Samsung had barely any signal in front of the college where I'm currently going to and absolutely no signal inside the building (I always turned it off because it gets on the battery). With the K850i, I have a signal even in the college's basement (2 or 3 out of 5 bars!). Maybe it's because the Samsung was a triband and the SE is now a quadband?!

Woah, you have a T68! That's cool, because my very first cell phone back in 2001 (or 2002?) was a T65, the predecessor of it (and I still own the 4 previous phones I had before the K850i and they are all in working condition including the classic "K750i")

@drsoran2

Thanks for that. Its nice to know that the phone is great out there.

Yes ive just looked at the coverage in the usa for at&t and the nearest 3g is Athens or Chauncey.

Im hoping ot test my 3g out when im over shortly.

Hoping tomake a vid call back to the uk (If its alloud on the US Networks)

I know that the Us 3g networks are more data than video calling.

Yes i kepy my t68i. Ive got rid of all my others, but i see them every day as people i work with buy my phones as they are in so good condition for there age.

I tell them of if they dont look after them (There my babies) but my t68i is special to me.

Was my first every contract and colour screen phone, and its been through tough and good times with me

Pic of what the T68i Menu used to look like

You can all the dots on how the screen is made up.

Nice shots ! Though some images uploaded does NOT justify the TRUE meaning of a 5 MP camfone

i bid you goodnight my friends

the moon full zoom

Posted by darrengf
Sorry only clouds here, no moon.

but at least its not as cold tonight. 4 degrees.

lol

Posted by kjao
i tried the video light (torch) last night on my friend's k850...it's very weak! is this due to the size of the LEDs? or a firmware thingie? plus...it was a sickly yellow...yuuuuuurrrrrccchhhh!!

i can't imagine how that can help light up a shot for the video...unless the subject is like 30 cm away from u

Posted by jippi
A couple taken on my work place today.

All auto except: ISO 100 - fluorecent light mode.

Posted by plankgatan
yeeppp...k850 is the indoor king...

and if you print them out on a regular photo paper (10 x 15cm)...they look like this:

I do not agree with you. My K850 is the only camera that i have. And for me it's not just for "fun"(well maybe all types of cameras are for fun). It's my camera, period. And of course it's not as good as a designated camera. But it's a "okey SIMPLE basic" camera without a real zoom. You can take "serious" shots with it. Sorry don't mean to be nitpicking.

@plankgatan Hahaha! Hmm those muschtases on the statues look strangely familiar!?

I tried to get some from work today, but my fault i deleted the wrong ones when i got.

Will try again tomorrow

the biggest different between a digi cam and a good cellphone camera is, with the digi cam you "allways" get normal/good pictures.....and with the the cellphone you "sometimes" get normal/good pictures.....thats the biggest different

i can bet that if i showed you two ordinary (10 x 15cm) portrait photos....one taken with example k850...and one taken with a (£300) digi cam.....its not easy to see which one whos taken with the digi cam.....
(sure if you look at them in full size....or if you look very very careful...you maybe see it easier)

ps.. @xironghostx ...yyeep..k850 is the indoor king.

Here's what i had today for lunch

You'll need sometime to master the phone camera's capabilities, do read plankgatan's tutorials on how to get the best photo's from your K850i and yes it's very important that you capture your pictures with a good light source.
