i like trying black and white now

Posted by plankgatan
the best with black & white is the sharpness who comes by its grey-scale spectrum. (no colors int the world can beat that )

some pics with nice big res...(no edit)

@masada. try document + EV -0.7 (and cloudy or daylight) instead. then your sharpness will come

thanks plank, here are a few i took last night, all indoor, very low lighting, no flash

thats more like it ..........try to get this indoor-details with a k750 or w810 ???

@daxxxxx. maybe beacuse K850 produce a soft "touch" on the pictures. (instead of example k800 who produce a more "hard" touch).
if you understand what i mean.

I also impressed by this picture.
which setting did you use?

thanks twilight landscape i think, and the white balance changed

No alterations, only resize and yes I suck at taking pics.

the second flower pic is just freaking awesome

@Luci'sPower
All pics where taken with my K850i, just come back from a 2 week vacation to Bulgaria and took over 250 pics.

I dont think my camera takes very good shots, almost all seem to have a hazy white look to them and not the sharpness that some others here can achieve. i'm thinking of sending it back to o2 because of the reboot bug and the lens cover has started having odd times not opening, maybe I will be lucky and get a new one

@ Plank Thank you, I like picture 1 too mostly because its the view from my new apartment,

Posted by Luci'sPower
Sorry larry ,my mistake, is just that your pictures look wierred for a k850.....

Posted by recl
yeah ..the second pic is great..you just didn't upload it right

There is no way the sun is at your back on this one. Look at the shadow from the fence.

Also, go slow when taking photos. Give the phone time to really meter the light. Frame your shot, press the shutter halfway down, let the target turn green(focused), then press fully.

larry, try document (low EV) + cloudy or daylight, and im quite sure you will get sharper pics.

some K850 (depending of the which firmware and which branding you using) needs document often to get this sharp pictures.

Beautiful day yesterday. Went bar hopping by bicycle with some friends, click them to see more sizes and more pics. All were auto-leveled using Picasa.

Thanks for the compliment. But yes I feel I do need to post process most photos from this phone. It is personal decision I as the photographer make. I feel that most raw images that I take need a little white balancing and contrast adjustments to make them look better from this phone. I am glad you don't feel the need with yours.
