my first attempt with my new k850i, all auto - cloudy wb
updated the firmware already to the latest R1EA037.. but i think the picture quality isn't as great as when i used my k800i with ultimate camdriver..the colors are a bit "boring".. and night pictures aren't as good as i used to be.. any settings recommendation?

the whole basic thing with photos (taken with cell phones) is really the "light".
one good tip to get sharp pics is (when its really sunny), is to stand in the shadow and then take the picture toward the sun(object). cell phones have very sensitive sensors, (they are so tiny & week) so you really need to "block" if its very sunny.
best pics you allways get in the mornings, then is the sun not so strong and the pics comes out much better
and if you have a unbranded k850 with new 037, use the stabilzer on all time (except for flash). and if you can, DPY flash your phone instead of using SEUS. i ALLWAYS get best/stable firmwares with EMMA.
directley from the phone. no photo dj
flash

@Duran
simply use the exposure compensation function ( right / left arrows while in camera ) to decrease the amount of light, used to work on my dad's k800
good luck

@Duran:
lol
wait for modded camdrivers, when using flash, original camdriver will use a fix shutter speed, EV won't work then.

Just a line like
Disable_LED=0 would be enough -.-

nice pictures, but why your sky is white ?
Posted by plankgatan
???
its REALLY cloudy. thats why i use cloudy profile to improve the saturation. and when its really cloudy(smogy)
its difficult for a tiny cell phone camera to show this thin clouds.(as you see in the sky)
i love the new firmware. it soooo stable. dosent need any photo dj or something. just point & shoot

@plankgatan
What's "EMMA"?
Posted by plankgatan
EMMA is sonyericsson uppdate server. you can only uppdate your phone with EMMA server from services place.
(it place your firmware on a 100% clean memory, instead like SEUS who place your firmware "layer by layer". it call "DPY flash" when you use EMMA)
new 037 rocks.
cloudy profile + auto
daylight profile + auto
