Tai - your first pic is great. You should consider turning it to greyscale and submiting it to the april b/w esato shootout.

these are all in auto settings, if im not mistake, right?? what i hate about k850 is that there is too much noise on the pics.. R1EA031 takes better pics than R1EA037, imo.. but camera version was not even changed, so, wut up wit that??

if you look closely plank, you will see the "NOISE" on those pics.. and it's horrible..
Posted by plankgatan
hhhmmm....you know why, (READ WHAT I WRITE). its taken in really cloudy weather. (less light means more noise)
and second, this picture is good enough for me, (noise or not).

----------
Macro. taken really close (~5cm distance). the flowers is very tiny in the real.
stunning sharpness by K850

Hi,
Can someone tell me if there is any pro to use a 5Mpix resolution if I plan to print photos in only 10x15cm ? I think 2 Mpix would be enough, no ?
And does the choice of the number of MPix have any impact on the picture's quality ?
I don't really understand why manufacturer doesn't try to improve 2Mpix captor instead of always making bigger ones...
THanks !
Posted by Luci'sPower
yeap 2mpix is enough for a 10x15.....for example k750 pictures are great on that format

@plankgatan,
Very good photos! Make a bet with your daughter the next time she has donuts that if she doesn't lick the sugar from her lips then she can have as many donuts as she wants.

Depending on the quality of the camera, 2 MP photos will print up to A4!
