they are sharp, yes... but natural...hell NO

I think you need to adjust your monitor. I don't see any blue or greens on his face at all. The skin tone looks very natural, the red in the shirt is well saturated, and the detail and sharpness is very good (for a camera phone).

1. Stars?

2. Mosquitoes?

3. Dust on the lens?

This is effect of sharpness when noise is there. you can see that every where(white edges)

but why there is noise when ISO is 64? because of fast shutter speed 1/1000sec. this pic could be better with EV0.0 and not -0.7.

@AbuBasim
1. Stars?
yes
hheheh finally we can see daylight stars ( I love k850 ) ;O)

2. Mosquitoes?
WHY NOT !! HEHEHE

3. Dust on the lens?
MMMM lots of people complaining about the dust in their K850
so maybe the dust

4. CMOS noise?
yes yes this is the one

heheheh

I can say that these dots appear because of
the CMOS noise + document mode ( more contrast & brightness ) + EV-

@sadeghi85
if document mode is in use then the view become more brighter and contrast means either you will lose the details in EV >=0 or you'll se the dots in EV< 0

think days are getting sunny. yay! still not as sunny as i hoped though. think it needs an auto-level btw. it's perfect in the phone viewfinder but happens to be too dark in my monitor.

original: http://www.esato.com/phonepho[....]n/k850i/200803181446zxmH8u.jpg

a flourish. i really like how sharp it is, but don't really like the purple fringe on the tree branches.

http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/1653/dsc06024uk9.jpg

colors are very natural, vivid and warm. the only drawback is the purple fringe (again).

we love ramen! yay!

haven't uploaded the original pic cause imageshack is down at the moment.

Let's see. I used Auto Scene, with manual ISO-100, EV 0 (but some other times I change it to -0.7 until + 0.7, depends on each condition). What else.. mm.. I use daylight White Balance in two of the pics above (if I'm not mistaken), the rest is Auto WB/Fluorescent WB (Fluorescent sometimes has a warmer feeling). I try not to facing the light sources. I think that's all.

To you who worries about dust under the lens glass. If you're not worried about voiding the warranty- remove the glass! I did and i'm a happy camper now with no worries abut smudges or dust! (And i think it would be easy to put the glass back too)

The only reason a k750 would take worse shots indoor is because it doesn't have a xenon flash

[ This Message was edited by: Duran on 2008-03-18 22:23 ]

no you wrong, (and right about the Xenon flash of course)

the main reason why K750 NEVER, ever will produce better indoor pictures then K850, IS because K850 have a MUCH more sensitive sensor. it capture less light & details much much easier.

compare two (NON flash) indoor-pics between K850 and K750 and you see what i mean.

@coquito... i also have hundreds of k750 pics, and nearlly all indoors pics looks horrible against K850.... how hard can it be ????
ps.. and yes, they looks like they are edit.

before some people start to nagg... this pictures is 100% original. they are ONLY shrinked with PS.. nothing more, (no photo dj, no color editing, nothing). i have the Balls to say if they are edit or not

and second, you can easy "see" if the colors, etc is edit. (you have certain programs for that).. i saw @JOJO used some program for that some weeks ago
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@peterkay......thanks. think the details are stunning.

Armas, I just noticed that the last set of pics that you uploaded as being taken in 3mp resolution. Did you know you had your K850 set to take pics in 3mp mode instead of 5mp?

Of course I'm aware. 5MP is too big to upload. Sometimes it reaches 1,2MB, sometimes around 1,6MB, sometimes it reaches more than 2MB (the limit Esato makes) which means I can't upload it either in photobucket (unless I upgraded my account with a paid one) or in Esato. And I often face error with imageshack. Since I think it's really important to upload the original file here (otherwise, somebody would probably say it's edited etc - strangely this kind of thing never happened here before in Esato - what a sad situation actually), so I made the choice. From week ago actually. Besides, I use an internet connection that has limited bandwidth of 3GB only per month.

Afterall, I don't really need 5MP size. 3MP size is enough for me. You will probably ask "then why you bought K850 instead of those 3MP phones". Even if it takes the same resolution, it is just.. simply sharper mate. The 3MP produced by K850 is sharper than those 3MP phones produce. At first, I was worried that K850's 3MP would be as same as what 3MP SE phones produce, but after looking lots of my archived pics, I just know K850's sharper. Besides I've always been a screen manic (many topics I've made here and it's about screen) and I love K850's screen big time.

So.. no, I didn't choose the K850's 3MP for the reason that it's sharper than the K850's 5MP. ^^v You can see my earlier 5MP uploaded pics and it's sharp.

Anyway.. it's the 2nd time you type Armas btw. Haha. I don't really mind actually, but it is Amras.

So just open them with PS and save them as ~quality 9.
Or, Shoot 5MP and then resize them to 3MP in PS.. theoretically that should give you more detail in the picture

I've been doing that all the time actually. But the original 3MP is intended for the upload purpose to Esato. Thanks for the info btw.
