How do i improve my K850i's picture quality ? I am not satisfied with the ones that my one produces....see my pictures on page 179.

Please help me here ! ! !

Do I have to do anything with the cam driver or anything of that kind ? ?

Please help me.

BTW flash works good

Your K850i pics look pretty much on par with what they are supposed to look like. The K850/K800 line have never been known for their good color saturation. The xenon flash is by far their best feature.

@famous: i dont use any especial setting for all my pictures, sometimes just point and shot
but the phone have some camera features that you have to try, take a picture 3 or 4 times with different settings to know what is the best, play more with your camera and you will see.

(sorry for my english)

Decrease the EV, use Document Mode if needed.
However, I haven't tried my k850 shooting at sunny daylight yet cause it has been always a rainy day for almost 3 weeks! I'm just desperate to see how different my k850 can do in a sunny daylight (compared to my k770 which is very good in daylight).

Posted by tai020381
Have you tried setting white balance to daylight mode?? It gives very natural colours in the day AND, if you want to maximise your phone, set ti to document mode, daylight whie balance and EV-0.7.

Posted by iqmaster158
hehe tak guy taken by nokia will look like zombie even if he was photographed by billion dollar camera:)) okay then..i try in upcoming days mix ISO and EV with flash and i will see what it can produce:)
i must say that i am now more satisfied with pictures taken in cloudy weather condition(seems the FW did the job) and sunlight pics are great for cameraphone..so now is the only one problem left for me..above mentioned faces..

famous... there is only ONE tip how to get good pictures with cell phones;
find/use the "Right" light. the settings arent that important, the light AND HOW YOU USE THAT LIGHT is the most important.

ps. full daylight sunshine is NOT the best light, (its to bright). the absolutley best light is at the morning or evening. (ask a "real" photographer and he will tell you the same )

I used Daylight and Cloudy settings.

Do these look the way its suppose to look like?

Or is there anything thats going wrong ?

Posted by famous12

Posted by number1
@famous12, you should stick with auto whitebalance, i don't see nothing wrong with your pics.

Posted by famous12

All taken in sunshine

Posted by plankgatan
you dont need document longer. Auto works just fine with R1EA031

looks good even its taken in cloudy weather

That's my pic and you don't even know what is in the rest of the pics I didn't upload.

See if you're a quite fair person, you will include these ones below as well. But apparently you didn't. You just posted the ones that show K850's weakness. I posted both of the sides anyway. But you know, since I'm mostly a K850 holder here, I can only posted these pics below, without posting the pics you referred, but I didn't cause I wanted both sides were revealed. That's what called fair.

But apparently the one you're looking is only the bad side of K850. It's not a cool attitude man. Trust me.

K850 wins easily. So please.. just be objective.
Sometimes K770 takes indeed better pics, sometimes K850 takes it better easily.

... k770 sucks against K850.

the only pics ive seen who looks ok with k770 is macro pics. k850 is ten times better.

maybe a little off topic but i wonder..it concerns autofocusing..it takes few seconds to focus..when i set focusing to "unlimited" it takes a picture instantly..my question is..what is the maximum distance between mobile phone and object i want to shoot so that autofocus isnt worthless (and also waste of time taken by trying the phone to focus)? i dunno if you can understand me:)

It's out of focus.

But the pictures I posted on the previous page were taken using LANDSCAPE wb, meaning the focus was infinite.. the pic couldn't have been not-focussed.
@perfect, i'll try document mode in a min

which pic exactly?

Im having big problems with lots of my indoor pics coming out very dark when I use flash, anyone know why ??
Its driving me crazy, whats the best indoor setting for flash in a normal daylight setting ?????????
When the flash works OK the pics are sharp but without flash the pics are all blurry.
I didnt have this problem on my previous firmware.

no problem with those pics, but if you think those are blurry that's probably because of no steady hands, that pic with timer on is out of focus. take a pic with both landscape setting and timer on and see if it'll be blurry.
