nice shot indeed. just a query. the colors of the photo seem to be washed out and pale. is that the color in real life?

Hehehe... sorry, wrong copy-paste of thumbnail codes from imageshack.
Now it's fixed for the last post.
Have to re-hosting the previous one.
Thanks.

Pantesan terasa familiar banget pemandangan2 di fotonya. It happens you come from the same country with me.

Nice flower pics! Stunning.
Keren2.

Anyway.. more pics.
Nice flash. Not as natural as what my Canon does though. Still very nice one.

Love this pic a lot! Though it was cloudy, K850 still managed to produce such a good pic.

Cloudy after some rain.

Indoor shot. A bit blurry because of my shaky hand. Anyway.. this is the studio where our national singer, Ruth Sahanaya usually practices. Have you heard about Ruth Sahanaya? She's quite worldwide actually since the 80's.

@crossfetched:

yea i dont know but when viewing a picture with in camera mode and while in photo review (file manager) the pictures are fine for about 1 second then the k850i loads a filter over it, that fades the entire picture i dont know what that is but apparenlty its washing out my photos and removing some detail.

it looks like its lightening the picture, but comes out like there's a veil of smoke/haze in each photo.

This has been discussed before and it is a feature that is also in Sony Cyber-shot digital cameras. Its just the phone optimising the photo for better viewing in the viewfinder. Its not affecting the actual quality of the photograph.

If you then zoom into the photo using the volume buttons you will see that the image in the view-finder is initially blurry and then the phone re-optimises the photo for clearer viewing.

I think that jeep is RED.
Similar thing happens to me. See two pictures below. The first was taken by K770 and the later wass taken by K850.

Red Sirion (K770) :

Red Sirion (K850) :

The "real" red color is as you seen on K770's photo.

Any opinion why this thing happens? Thanks.

Posted by Amras
No, the jeep wasn't red. It's maroon -> dark brownish to purplish red. So it isn't red, nor purple.

The color in the pic is not purple, AbuBasim. In my monitor, the pic shows maroon. And the jeep was maroon as well. The pics show more purple tone anyway, but not so different from the original color since the jeep wasn't red either (the jeep's color is far from the red in the Red Sirion posted above).

Yes, and that's why I always stated before (in many threads here) that K770 produces better pics (than K800/K810/K850) in daylight.

The jeep's color:

As far as I recall, the color was like the image above. But with slightly added brownish tone.

But it's not the brown that is dominant, but the mix of dark red and dark purple. Hope you understand what I mean.

You see, the red issue is quite fixed in R1EA. I compared with my friend's K850 R1C taking another shots of some red-cross picture and the R1EA's red color isn't as purplish as R1C's. However, I still think that my K770 can take red color better.

But it's not that far away from the reality. You can see the jeep color as in the image I attached above. I use paint and some of my memory. That kind of jeep is really familiar so it's not so hard to memorize its color. But I assure you, it's definitely not red (i don't know if you think red and maroon is the same, but for me red isn't maroon).

check your white balance & ISO settings and you will get better saturation.... it seems that quite many dont use ISO or EV (white balance) very often. its this two features who bring forward the "real" colors.

edit... i use ISO.100 very often, (because auto use ISO.64 nearly allways)

I agree cause sometimes I use manual ISO as well. And I think EV is one of the most defining factor to reproduce better colors.

Cropped from many pics. Can't upload the original. It's too large and btw I have used all my upload credit in Esato for today (but actually, I've posted some of the original pics here earlier).

K850:

K770:

You can call K850's purplish as some may call K770's yellowish.

For me, the more red the color doesn't always mean that is the better one. There's always slightly a chance that the red color is over saturated, or too yellowish. For example, it occurs in a very rare case of K770 (mostly are very good), like here:

K770:

Would it been something like this? Some quick adjustments with the hue map tool in PSP, the same I tried once on one of plankgatan's many McDonalds photos:

he he he...this 3 pics is extremely sharp.

what i can see, there is no cell phone who can produce better then this.
