@staz - OK, the video started to ROLL . . . despite the: going-into-the-night ride-scene, the quality is still GOOD. Is that your place/workplace

@staz - This made a GOOD photo-representation thru VIDEO when the car ahead of YOU stopped (brake lights: ON) !

Both video's were originally over 15minutes long Jojo. Photobucket only allows 5 minutes max to be uploaded.

The K850 has the image stabilizer set to on as default.

I have taken more comparison pictures between the k850 camera and my Canon Powershot (also 5mp). I can tell you that the Colors produced by my camera phone are more natural than the Canon SD400 but more noisy.
BOTH CAMERAS ARE SET TO AUTO ALL,, EVEN ISO.

Plank what is your firmware dude. I had 37 and the pic's were awful. I took a pic of me and my wife. With the flash and the results were really bad. I'll post it when i get home. Last night i changed my firmware to t mobile international's 38 on davinci's website. I'm hoping i'll get better results now.

Posted by bavlondon2
Those pics are quite pixilated plank. And whats with the purple fringing?

Posted by larry 68
Those pics arent very good and horrible in full size. No where near the quality that Plank normally posts.

Posted by DonJuan
yeah just looking at those on a screen and they look just like my k850s pics, the phone has a real hard time with fringing and distinguishing details. I hate this phone to be honest.

Posted by plankgatan
it dosent mater that much, think the quality is ok for a cell phone, i just showed them because i thought they was ok... more important is that this camera with a better driver, can produce high quality pics...thats whats depends for me.

its hard to produce 100% quality-pics all time..its just a cell phone.
(if every pics became like this, you didnt need a real camera..he he)

DonJuan

You post some really nice pics, I enjoy seeing something a bit different and what a place to do it in, if you dont like the quality of your K850i you could always swop for mine, I can only get about 5% decent shots.

No its not. N95/N95 8gb/N82/Viewty and even G600 produce better pics in those conditions. Overall quite dissapointing from SE.

@bavlondon... whatever....you dont know what you talking about..do you realy think a cell phone can produce much better quality then this...im not some rookie who sit here and praise some k850 pics becuase i like ..i praised this pics because i know there is no cell phone who manage it much better...(i had N82 for some days, so yes i know it have a good camera with a little stronger flash then k850...but overall, its not better then k850 right now)

G800...you must be kidding me...G800 is the worse 5 M.P phone i ever seen.
take a look at Flickr.com at some G800 pics, then you tell me:

ps.... here you have G800...its realy bad

every k850 sucks mate, just some people edit pictures and then they looks better

its easy to edit photo on pc and then transfer them to phone and open it in photodj and save it, result will be normal exif, without data from PC program

Posted by brewcaster
ughhhh, no more no more no more. If you are here to look at photos from a k850, great. If you are here to post pictures of k850, great. If you are here to just criticize, than please leave. Plank, I really want to encourage you to stop responding to the internet ass-clowns. I am getting realllly tired of re-reading this tired argument over the quality of the camera. Plank, if you are confident, then don't respond to them. Let's just get back to looking at awesome photos taken with this (IN MY OPINION) awesome phone.

You're wrong, PhotoDJ will remove EXIF completely. those pics look good cos they are ~12 times smaller than original!

@fran - I really LIKE this shot ! Looks like a mini-coliseum that can be found in - Rome

Posted by larry 68
There are at least as many of us here who arent happy with the camera as are happy, I like the phone, it's just the camera thats driving me crazy.

I like looking at the good pics some people manage to achieve, gives me hope and maybe a few tips, I just get tired of the same pics posted 4 or 5 times, thats boring.

As is the arguement of IF these pics are doctored, who cares, I know the capabilities of my own k850i and thats the only one Im taking pics with , I just hope the new firmware will make a difference or I've wasted a lot of money when I could have bought a K800i and a nice digi cam for less.

Posted by plankgatan
ok..sorry for that...but claim that some other cell phone can produce better/sharper pics then this is realy wrong...everything is maximum, - colors, white-balance, sharpness, etc, etc

hhhmmmmm @Vipera....you must have some major problems...its full size pics directley from the phone.....so whats the problem.

thanks larry, i try but i take so many pics and get so many bad results prior to actually posting the pics.
I think everyone expected so much more from this phone. There is nothing you can say to plank about this phone he will always love it but at the end of the day its a 5mp phone which cost me almost 700 dollars. I dont think that its anywhere near what it shoud be. I really dont see a lot of difference in quality from my k750 and k800.
I dont think Plank does too much editing, you cant save a bad picture you can save it from noise but then it just looks blurry, if your use a sharpen mask on photoshop it ends up getting really pixelated. So i dont think its fair to say plank photoshops his pics sharp. He just uses the rigjt lighting, day time. The camera is average in the day, the flash is too powerful in night shots, i took a pic of my wife the other day indoors and it completely over exposed her face as always.

But on a side note guys ill be starting the Esato monthly photo comp on feb 1st so you all better enter in it. We have some good photographers in this thread so you better enter!!

Posted by -PERFECT-
My present firmware is 038 and it has the 3.4 camera driver, the preceding fw. was 029 with 2.9 camera driver, the quality of my pics is better with last update, especially in colors.
Now i can say that 80% are good and 20% are blurred for no steady hand

ok so i am really getting annoyed with this phone, i dont see anything good about it at the moment, im so tired of SE not delivering, here is the same shot took with a 5mp camera and my k850, not to test the difference in quality i dont expect it to match a dedicated camera but come on look at this....... both settings to auto

this is the k850

horrible

this is my canon

SE is a long way away
