and this with low light, all settings auto except exposure +0,3 or 0,7, no flash. good colors and sharpness i think

plankgatan your pictures are very good, what is your secret

Posted by fullforce
Well here's some new shots from this christmas:
Cute santa. Auto everything:

A pretty good shot(considering the fact that little buggers never stay put)Macro, auto everything

And the weather forecast for boxing day macro, auto everything:

The moon. Auto everything, no flash. NOT easy getting a good shoot att the moon with a phonecam, especially when you have other light sources, as i did, such as street lights:

A cool accident! I didn't know i was shooting the moon and moved my camera:

And to prove that we in Sweden can also do thoose(in my taste vulgar and tacky) christmas arrangements. And this is just a part of this house! Auto everything, no flash, light sensivity turned down a noch:

Merry christmas and a happy new year everybody! And don't forget-
"Satan Claus is getting stronger every day" (from wich movie? It's an easy guess!)

the most common fault people do with flash pictures,(cell phones mostly), is to use wrong kind of background......or bad reflection from the object.

try this:

take a flash picture on a object on a white background.....
then take one more picture,(on the same object) BUT place the object on a tree table, (or something with non reflection surface)

its tiny tricks who makes a picture good

ps....the light on your object is everything.....but best macro pictures do you get in sunrise (outdoor of course), that light is allways best.

The earlier shot on the moon zoomed in. Okey not a perfect shoot but i looks cool in my taste. And the distortion/misscoloration maybe make it look like a painting. Anyway- it's just a camphone and as i said earlier i has some light from street lights that disturbed a bit.

Plank...: Really nice pictures,

Question: Can anyone tell me which settings whhich is best to take nightshots? not nightportrait pictures just nightshots at buildings etc...

Posted by tai020381
Use twilight landscape mode with a tripod(SE accessory) or place it on a stable position. Use timer for best result, disable stabilizer.

Thanks Plankgatan for my pictures :)

@plankgatan
What's up with all these MacDonald's pictures, mate?

Posted by Gerban

With Gerban posting, this topic will reach a new level. He's one of the best K850i photographer I have seen.

Herre are some of mine with the settings if it can help :

Macro mode, No flash, Under exposure of -2 EV, Best Pic mode (which is IMO far more usefull than the stabilizer, you have 9 chances to get at least one sharp picture when the exposure time is long) :

Night shots taken in Best Pic mode without flash:

The following pictures with a frame are post processed (adjustement of white balance, saturation, contrast, sharpness) :

TIPS :
Tired of getting harsh and washed out picture with the flash like this :

Sometimes the mode twillight portrait will help to get a more natural looking result (the exposure will go down to 1/8 in order to capture more ambiant light, try to stay very stable when taking the picture) :

Macro mode with flash :

ANOTHER TIPS :
For all flash pictures, if your subject is up to 1.5m far, it is better to switch to ISO 100 (or enable the macro mode which will have the same effect).

2 advantages :
- Better color rendering
- Less risk to overexpose the subject if it is very close

Posted by darknoob
Gerban's samples are amazing! didn't see photos like this from a phone

Posted by Gerban
Yes
-----------

profile document - 0,7

Posted by plankgatan
document profile is maybe the solution to the unsharp landscape...it seems to

have you tried to shoot some portrait on people with document + -0.7 (outdoor, off course) ...do they(people) get sharp in their faces, etc ?????????????

sorry if i spam you
