Firmware extensions are .mbn for MAIN and .fbn for FS... They may wary if the phone is older model... For example, I have W800 firmware in .bin format (still works with XS++ for me)

Hey guys,
Need help putting flash menus on a W600i with XS++ (any version)..
I've got the .thm files and the .swf files already, uploaded the flash files to the phone in desktop/flash folder.
Then I moved the themes to the card, applied them, but the menu still stays the same.
Can anyone help out?

I have tried to flash my w550i with xs++ according to the instruction you posted, but xs++ was unable to customize the filesystem (own_custpack). I then used SeToolLite to flash in the finalization files but then the phone still remained at the 'Configuration error. Please contact network operator or service centre'. The phone is still CID49 but DB2010. someone help?

hey just a question (or 2): im trying to deband my vodafone k610i, will the web browser/sms/mms still keep the same settings if i flash the firmware or if not how do i back them up? also the phone is a little different to normal k610i's, the activity menu button is changed to an end call button and the web button is changed to a start call button, if i flash the firmware will the buttons preform the origanal sonyericsson functions or the vodafone ones?

I just went ahead and did it and it works!!! no more vodafone shit and those buttons preform origanal se functions (will probly confuse someone using my phone, end call button=activity menu, start call button=web browser)

Yeah I know the keys are a bit confusing now, but at least they are doing their "factory job".
If the key functions are annoying you, you can get yourself an new original keypad for your phone... Check www.cnn.cn to see if there is kayboard for your phone

Anyway you didnt specify which phone you have so we can give you links for the firmware files...
I suggest you searching through http://www.4shared.com as I have seen several "asia levan" firmwares there

Look, if tou use FS file that contains ASIA_LEVAN in it's name, you should use custpack that is compatible with ASIA_LEVAN (usualy has that name)

The MAIN and FS are the parts that can be flashed... There are GDFS and EROM... EROM can be reflashed too, but not the GDFS so easily...
.

no, mate. you dont need to finalize the phone as you wont touch the FS(where you finalize the phone).

@pram: just select the files you want to upload, drag them and then drop them in the right side panel. it will take a while so dont be waiting it in a minute

I already do that, but, when I select some file and drag the file to XS++ v3.1 (Right panel offcourse, suddenly appear circle with cross symbol on the center.
then....when I release it, it doesn't drop at all(can not drop to XS++ v3.1 Right panel, doesn't know how...
).

First of all, I'm from Denmark and the phone was from the service provider 3, which (like most of the other providers selling phones these days) had clogged it with all kinds of software I didn't need.
I connected the K610i to XS++ v3.1 and said yes to updating the CID from 49 to 52.
I then successfully managed to flash the phone with the 'K610_R1KG001_MAIN_GENERIC_TH_RED52' and the 'K610_R1KG001_FS_EUROPE_2_RED52.fbn' files from http://www.iprotebe.cz and the phone works fine as it is.
The thing is that, right now I have the choice between the languages in the region EUROPE2 and I'd really like to (especially when messaging) have the ability to write in Danish.
After searching around on Google and 4shared, I've not been able to find a FS with the right CID version, for EUROPE4 which would be the right region.
Is it anyhow possible to create your own package? Or does anyone of you know where I might be able to find the right one?

Try to get it connected to SeTool instead. Or hold 2+5 keys instead of C. Check if you have USB flash driver installed correctly also.

it only means that your flasher (FAR plugin) isnt fit for CID53...
or
your phone cannot be read by your present flasher (FAR plugin)...

Got a nice little situation here.. tried to install Psiloc Arabic for my fone demo version.. Laterz uninstalled after expiry.. Tried to restart my Fone.. Was Stuck in a Boot Loop..
Tried to update my fone using SEUS today.. works fine.. but at around 48% .. says their was an error Updating the Fone plz try again.. i hav been forced to use Nokia 7610 for d past 5 days.. my life is hell.. i fought wid my gf cuz she says i dont msg her anymore.. Bloody am used to using a keyboard for msgng.. almost forgot how to msg using KeyPad.. Plus 7610's damn slow menu makes me Killl myself or the fone..
